  1. 12th man? Well damm....there you have it. Perhaps some orientation and observation is indeed in order.......I'm going to Google some differences between the CFL and NFL........."did he say 12th guy"?...what the heck The CFL and NFL are pretty different. 12 men on each side being one. Another big difference being the the field size. The CFL fields are 110 yards rather than 100, and they are also about 12 yards wider as well. Not to mention the end-zones, which are 20 yards deep. It takes some getting used to. Once you look it up, you'll see the leagues contrast in many ways. Uprights in the front of the endzone not the back and a we have bigger BALLS
  2. can you explain a bit that 'rover' position in Etch's D? is it the same to the 'jack' position in Burke's D? From Google... This is a label given to a player on the defense of a football team tasked with one of many tasks, but mostly revolving around stopping the opposition's best player, or best performer. The "rover" position was not used very often in the National Football League, it was more popular in the college game. The idea behind a rover was that a skilled defender would only have to watch the opposition's best player, thereby ensuring they would never go uncovered. The position adapted to one which is tasked with stopping short runs and covering the short passing zone. Sometimes, the rover would be used to watch the quarterback. This position did not catch on in the NFL because players were too skilled to be only concentrating on one opposition player. The loss of a skilled defender on another player who was not in possession of the ball would put the defense at a disadvantage. The concept of a rover is still used; however, the player is usually assigned to watch a given position or space, rather than a particular player. Not sure if this is how Etch uses it or not.
  3. Ok....this is a suuuuuuper far fetched scenario that I would like to see play out but likely never happen. We trade picks 20 and 26 to BC for BCs 5th. BC now doesn't have a first rounder but would have two second and three third rounders. BC could then flip say 12th and 20th to Hamilton for 9th. In the end Winnipeg would have two first rounders but nothing until the 4th round, BC moves down 4 spots but get an extra lower pick at 26 and get to pick back to back and Hamilton moves down two but has early second round back to back picks at 11 and 12. Maybe a team has to throw a player in there to make it happen but in such a shallow draft I think this would be great if pulled off. But as I said likely won't. Thoughts?
  4. Doesn't look that bad from the outside. Yeah. The first video is just snow melting lol.
  5. Anyone hear Paul Edmonds on TSN1290 just now? He made some good points about the leaking. It's a new building never designed before. You don't know which way water will go until it is built. You can design all you want but it might still find it's way in. You fix it and then it's dealt with. He also mentioned that apparently it happened at Shaw park when it was built as well.
  6. My company might be the ones to go in and assess the damage and make recommendations on clean up and drying. If so It will likely be myself going there as I spent month in there during construction. If I do get in there I will let you all know how bad it is/was.
  7. It's nice that we can argue over the top prospect(s) we will get over arguing over the top prospect(s) we want and then draft off the board.....
  8. As per Darrin Bauming: Eric Armitage OL 6'4" 308lb and Kevin Prempeh DB 6'3" 205lb Armitage was drafted by the Riders in 2013 7th round 56th overall.
  9. This happens every year you know that right? They have about 70 or 75 players at the start of training camp but rosters are only forty some players. You basically sign a 2nd team in the offseason then cut most of them before training camp is done. I know it's "supposed" to happen every year but I haven't seen this many training camp signings in a loooooong time. I can recall maybe half as many players signed last year and there is still almost two months till camp. It's just nice to see a change.
  10. So a quick look at the Bomber site and the players added since the FA period are as follows: Grigsby, Nic Quarles, Cyhl Jeffrey, Damario Robinson, Antonio Bucknor, Matt Williams, Leon Loper, Gabriel Coleman, Austin Brohm, Brian Leggett, Maurice McAdoo, Michael Hogan, Brandon Renaud, Taylor McRath, Gerald Brescacin, Jordan Gatling, Stafford Newman, Graig Tate, Kenny Garvin, Michael Ray Urrutia, Mario Feoli-Gudino, Julian Hogue, Doug Richardson, Louie Richards, Randy Marve, Robert Hajrullahu, Lirim Sims, Quentin Willy, Drew Moore, Nick Banks, Korey Neufeld, Patrick Paliwoda, Terriss I am probably missing a few but wow! It's like they signed a whole new team! Guess Walters was right when he said you won't recognize the roster this year.
  11. Well if he's no good at Football maybe he can take up a career in Meth production? I seem to recall somewhere that you can make a fortune at this
  12. Guess if he doesn't pan out for BC they could always trade him for Ricky Ray??
  13. Wally has officially fallen off his rocker....
  14. Why does the thread title still say "appears". Can we change that now
  15. I have completely lost track of who they have signed this off season. Seems like they are stocking up though which is a great thing!
  16. It's about time they made it official
  17. This doesn't sound good... @55YardLineCFL: New post: #CFLPA says they’re not prepared to play under previous CBA, which could lead to lost games: http://t.co/uV9odUguVh
  18. Wouldn't the correct spelling of his name be BIGJOEMUFFERAW Which is exactly how I sound after a dozen or so Whiskeys
  19. That picture of him at the beginning of the video MOAB posted is ridiculous. How hard do you have to work to look like that? At first glance I thought that was a pic of me. Then realized that I'm not black...I don't have dreds....and I'm fat...other then that it's a splitting image!
  20. Back? He was never here... Or did i block that out? I think back as to OB. My bad.
  21. Depend on what Province and your personal lives. In MB the cottage season is so short you don't want to be missing home games or traveling out to the lake after a Saturday afternoon game only to come back on Sunday. This is by far the best season schedule I have seen in the last 10 years for begin able to make the lake every weekend in the 8 warm weekends we get.
  22. Normally i would say Glen would be the vet QB in Ottawa but since he has yet to play for them and may not still I probably would have said the vet QB from Calgary.
