Buck Pierce traded for Akeem Foster
Bomber_fanaddict replied to yogi's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I would like to thank Buck for the time he spent here! They weren't pretty and he had to play behind some bad olines but He is a great community guy and has done lots for the city of Winnipeg and its fans. I wish him luck wherever he ends up. -
Jeff Bannon said on 1290 last week that if they won the game in these they would look at wearing them for the rest of the season.

Bomber Sign Rouse and Schulte
Bomber_fanaddict replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I think Rouse is the best addition by Walters thus far! -
Bombers have signed LB/S Aaron Rouse and OL Colt Schulte to the PR. Rouse (6-4, 227, Virginia Tech, DOB: January 8, 1984 in Norfolk, Virginia) was a third round (89th overall) draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft and went on to play in 41 career NFL games, including 18 starts, with the Packers and New York Giants. He recorded 109 tackles, one sack, four interceptions and 11 pass knockdowns in his four-year NFL career, with one of his interceptions being returned 99 yards for a touchdown. He also spent two years in the United Football League and picked off three passes for the Virginia Destroyers in the 2011 Championship Game, for which he was named the game’s MVP. In four seasons at Virginia Tech, Rouse never missed a game, recording 217 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Schulte (6-6, 296, Missouri Western State, DOB: April 25, 1990 in Bagnell, Missouri) played in 50 games over four years for the Griffons, including 38 starts, splitting time between guard and tackle. As a junior, Schulte helped his team rush for 240 yards per game and 5.4 yards per carry and followed that up by being named second team All-MIAA as a senior when he helped the Griffons break numerous records while covering the quarterback’s blind side. The Blue Bombers have also released import defensive back Joe Sampson and import offensive lineman Aderious Simmons from the practice roster.

I like Goltzs TD celey. It's unique and damn right he should be proud of every TD this team gets. How is it any worse then what Arland Bruce used to do or what Sheets or Geroy do now? I also like it cause it's pissing the Rider fans off
-
Here were my observations: Goltz had an impressive half and was 9/9 at one point and ended the half with 4 drops I believe and only one was really his fault. Aaron Kelly is a keeper! He made some nice plays in the half and reminds me a bit like Edwards. Glad to have Watson back. Has Jade dropped a ball yet this season?!? The Miller hit on Jade was dirty and hope he gets fined for it. Dwight Anderson is still a douch bag. The 3 reversal play was a great play! MB is starting to put his stamp on things. Suber needs to pack his bags as does Cauchy. These two lost this game for us IMO. What was the big deal with Goltz mocking sheets? It didn't seem like a big deal. Glad I turned it off when I did..

They literally didn't have any other number to give him. What about #11? Although then i'd be pissed cause it's #11 He could be the next Ploen!

Brown is on the field today wearing Number....6! Really Levi?
-
As a PR signing this isn't a terrible move. I don't think Brown had much chance to show what he had being 2 deep behind DD. Walters has made more moves in his 2 weeks then Mack did in an entire offseason....

We have found the park and ride to be a great option! The downs is quick in and out and no worry about parking. We havn't taken our kids on the park and ride but my 4yr old nephew has gone and been fine.

MB Smith Kelly McKnight Peach.........Why stop there? Bring on Williams!
-
Not really, with 'Brody McKnight-in-shining-armour' kicking 55 yard FGs in practice, we only have to get to the Sask 48 yd. line. Bob Irving @BobIrvingCJOB 29s Mcknight Showing off big leg at bomber practice, launching 55-yard field goals. Perfect! New game plan.......We just need Woods to return it to the 48 each time we get a kickoff and instead of putting any offence on the field we just put our FG team out. This way we don't lose another QB and we will actually put points on the board!

East side plaza markers
Bomber_fanaddict replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not bloody likely. LOL, I meant the 10th.....the 11th could be a loooong time coming still! -
Bob Cameron? Two... Didn't Bob Cameron get dropped liked 8 times before finally getting the starting gig? I believe it was 9 tryouts over 4 years before landing here. I think Brodie is trying for 9 in one season

East side plaza markers
Bomber_fanaddict replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I got the answer today from the Bombers I had been looking for Turns out they had desgined for 10 markers to be placed but when they went to put the 10th in they would have dug through buried electrical lines. So next year or when they get some time they will redesign it a bit and add the 10th one on the other side of the walkway and continue on from there. -
Dr. CFL reeks of Nasty Nate/Lyle E style......

The other WR signing appears to be former Ticat Aaron Kelly. Wow whats with all the former Ticats??

Who is the New Bomber QB?
Bomber_fanaddict replied to captaincanuck12's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It was leaked to media on Saturday that Jason Boltus is the guy being brought in. Likely the same leak that spilled the Mack firing JB probably not the answer but at this point I don't care who they bring in just keep bringing em in cause we are going to need them. -
well that's cause teams are just blitzing all the time... How about instead of harping about the o-line we start doing some things to slow down the blitz? Drop a pass in behind the blitzers and make them back off. Should be lots of room out there, why aren't we taking advantage of that? The QB doesn't even have enough time to get a pass behind them. If you can stomach it rewatch the game and count the number of times the QB is picking himself up off the turf. Hamiltons D isn't even any good and they are able to shred our line.
-
Good I hope they bring in 10 QBs. Once we go through them all maybe they will realize the oline is the problem! At one point in the second 4 Hamilton defenders walked through the line untouched.....4!!! It's like it was a magic trick.

Bellefeuille: Burke decides QB on Saturday
Bomber_fanaddict replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Didn't specify. Or at least I didn't hear if he did. I assume its changes to current play book MB said he wanted to change the things they shouldn't be doing and focus on the things he should be.
