  1. I haven't really been following the The situation alone is evidence. He didn't just decide to quit and coincidentally get scooped up by Edmonton as finders keepers. I haven't really been following the story on Thorpe and I am not 100% sure on the "Tampering Rules". But if Thorpe talks to Edmonton about a job then quits and joins them is that still tampering? Or is it only tampering if Edmonton goes to Thorpe without asking permission.
  2. I can't this douchebag .. I've never seen anything positive come from him. It's one thing to be critical when it's deserved .. but finding negativity in EVERY little thing the organization does it just too much. It's like someone in the organization kicked his dog, slept with his wife .. pissed in his cornflakes all in the same day. I was going to say the same thing. Even the tiniest bit of positive news that comes from the Bombers he finds a way to make it seem like a terrible thing. You don't need to be like Rod Pedersen and pump the tires of the team for everything but simply tweet the signing and shut up. The way Bauming did it was fine. He is making light of the fact he may have been suspended soon for PEDs but doesn't take the personal attack route. And yeah I get it. It gets ppl riled up and reading his papers but for me the only time I ever see anything from him is when it's copy and pasted here. Guy is simply a terrible reporter.
  3. Throw me on the "Not quite sure what to think of this hire yet" bus. I liked Lapo the last time he was here and felt he was never given the players he wanted and was a failure due to Mack. Mack give him all the players he wanted and said coach them. I know a good coach should be able to coach any player which leads me to believe Lapo isn't HC material. He is however a great OC. He has proven in the past he can have success at that position. The position which he is hired for. Sounds like he spent a lot of time in the last 3 years keeping up on the CFL and expanding his playbook and learning. If Walters and O'shea give him the players he wants I think he can once again be a very successful OC. Here is to hoping
  4. They are by far the most profitable CFL team. However with what they are paying Jones and now Murphy plus Chamblins tab and a shiny new stadium opening soon they might need to start watching the bank account. They should be fine though....
  5. If this is a reason to sue I think all of us Season Ticket Holders should sue them a million dollars a year for each year they don't win a cup starting in 1991. Because We sign contracts for tickets and have nothing to show for it
  6. Booo! I like Buck Pierce but I dont think he's ready to be an OC. He need to learn more from a good OC... not from MarcelB only. I agree! But if you noticed the second half of the Edmonton game the calls were way different and more aggressive. And the Toronto game had a lot better play calling and Denmark actually had the ball thrown to him more then once in the game. I'm fairly certain Buck was calling the plays and I do think he needs more time to learn but he was definitely better then MB. Although I have 6 years old McDonalds French fries under my car seat that might be better than MB....
  7. I had heard from a little birdy that Buck Pierce was calling the last half of each of the last few games and possibly had called all of the last game against Toronto. Just speculation but he could be our next OC...... This is coming from someone who works with the Bombers so take it as you will.
  8. Typical Bandwagon jumper and just trying to get attention. I also like the pic of the mouldy hot dog. When it happened he sent it out on Twitter and FB and blamed the Bombers and the Bomber organization for it when in fact the blame can only be put on the food supplier which I do believe is Aramark (Someone can correct me if I am wrong). They were trying to use up product from the FIFA event and really shouldn't have. It had no bearing on the Bombers at all. Like Wade Miller is purposely selling old dogs to save a few pennies.
  9. That is correct......When is the last 5-13 team to make the playoffs lol. *Sidenote: Mtl plays Sask last game of the season. I can see Mtl winning that one so we need to get one win in there!
  10. No one had much interest in Messam when he was available. No one had interest and we all laughed at Sask for signing a washed up walking injury NFL reject....and now look at him.......I don't mind giving some guys a second or third chance. Sometimes they just click with different guys around them and schemes sometimes they just don't have it. Can't hate on the Bombers for trying and nice to see they gave him a short leash and didn't try forcing more on him and saw that he wasn't the answer right away then keeping him until next season and trying to start him and not searching for another RB.
  11. Are the Bombers wearing them this year? I hope not but I thought they had to wear them a couple times last year and this year as part of the contract with reebok. I've seen Ottawa, Montreal, Riders wear theirs but I don't think any other teams have. Just curious.
  12. That's an interesting condition because I believe he is a UFA after this season. You mean an FA
  13. I'd be betting on a tie in this game. Either 0-0 after 4 quarters or 50-50 after 4. With all 100 points coming off turnovers Both teams starting 2/3rd string QBs and both have some fairly obvious flaws. Going to be a fun game to watch
  14. Anyone else think that the Jets being back in town and now the Moose coming back have a large impact on the GC not being sold out as of yet? I mean that's a lot of people who have their money tied up in the Jets/Moose that cant justify another $800-$2000 for a family to go watch one game. Just a thought. I don't have season tix to the Jets so I gladly bought my GC tix and don't care who is playing in the big game. However even if I had split season tix with the Jets there is no way I could have afford to go to Jets games and the GC.
  15. With all these Willies on the team our female fan base should be expected to double...
  16. When did Calgary ever have a dynasty? The Als from 2008-2010 maybe but I wouldn't say Cal has ever had one. The Flutie/Garcia/Dickenson years might qualify as one, but you know what I mean. I'd say the 70s Eskis and the 68-72 bombers count as dynasties. When u can constantly win cups and if ur not winning them your on the door step. Calgary has had success on and off but not for long periods IMO.
  17. When did Calgary ever have a dynasty? The Als from 2008-2010 maybe but I wouldn't say Cal has ever had one.
  18. Maybe if it stops raining. Yes. Once the saviour is here the sky will open and the Angels will sing
  19. Barring the unexpected, Sask will continue to occupy the basement of the CFL rankings for a while yet. Right. Sask will be 9th or in the basement
  20. Ok, Which one of you wants to be OC next year These all sound like way more exciting plays then what MB draws up lol.
  21. Good news. I hope the 1 practice he got was enough! And I hope MB can call a good game for him.
  22. It all makes so much sense now...
  23. And I think I can speak for most here and say Brohm's Bacon and Cheddar Chips has a nice ring to it...
