  1. Ever thought ticket pricing may be the main issue here? That what we pay for in $$$$ to have our seats doesn't match what is displayed on the field?
  2. Westwood and Libel were talking about this a few months back. Apparently he left the Stamps because his girlfriend at the time didn't want him playing football in Canada. This came I believe from Westwood who would have been playing around the time this happened so idk. Maybe a google search is in order And after a quick search it says a back injury ended his career before seeing a game. So who knows. Maybe the GF reason is true and wanted to leave.
  3. I can't wait until Chamblin goes Mike Kelly on the Riders and just simply looses his S***....
  4. I'm certain it would have been. Look at the Rider game and Smith not getting the first down on third and short when it was pretty clear he was. He fumbled the ball but after review said the fumble was after the whistle, however Smith didn't get enough yardage. Looked pretty clear he had. Seems to happen in every game I guess.
  5. Agreed. I mean they have it in curling with Hog line infractions. How someone hasn't figured out how to put the technology into other sports yet it strange. The only thing with something like a laser is you can break it with your foot and not the ball (See the reply ) I can see in hockey, them installing the same technology into the puck as they have in curling and once it crosses a certain line it lights up. Would take a lot of guess work off the refs. Not sure how they would do that with a football. But if there are any inventors out there that want my idea I want a 30% royalty The technology for curling is a bit different as it simply records if the players hand is still on the handle of the rock as it crosses the hog line. Where do you put the sensor in the football? The ball only needs to touch the goal line for it to be in, you would have to make the entire football able to become a sensor and that seems like a near impossible task. The solution to me is to accept that there will be human error in the officiating and just deal with it. Ditch all the reviews and just let the refs do their job and hold them to a standard Well aware of how the curling one works. Been at it for almost 30 years and most of that very competitive I didn't mean to say that it should be exactly like that but maybe something similar. Or your right just let it go to the side ref and move on.

  7. My point was that even though it didn't cost us the game it could have. I just wanted other peoples opinions as to whether or not they felt it was in and what other options they can do to get the call right if they were wrong. Even if this wasn't a Bomber game I would have brought it up. Its just odd they didn't say they were reviewing it (even though they usually do) and seemingly just went to the pt after. Maybe they had a perfect camera view we didn't see and it was a quick review. Maybe they just said F it and gave them the TD to move the game along as they just finished burning 20min back and fourth with penalties I'm just pointing out the one angle that we are able to see and even with the skewed camera angle it doesn't look in. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the outcome and hate to be bringing it up. But would a stationary camera on the goal line help in these situations?
  8. So much this. It was ruled a TD, and there wasn't visible evidence to overturn But how is it not visible? Unless they are looking at a different camera angle.
  9. I wasn't sure if they did review or not which is why I asked. If they did how is this not conclusive enough that it didn't cross? If this is the only angle they had and this is what they are basing their judgment on then it's pretty clear it DID NOT cross. I say they need to mount go pros to those little orange pylons used to mark the goal line from now on
  10. That's exactly why I titled the thread this way
  11. Yes it's nitpicky to start looking at things even after a W but was Sutton in on his first TD of the game after the long goal line standoff at the end of the second Q? http://cfl.ca/video/index/id/112591/autostart/true around the 3:13 mark shows Sutton only getting his foot over the line and not the ball. I know they were talking about this on TSN 1290 this morning. Was it a bad camera angle, did he actually get the ball over the line or not? I know in the end it didn't matter but if the Bombers lost this game it sure as s*** would have been a huge topic of discussion this week. I think the Bombers did a great job holding them off for so long. Would have been interesting to see if they could have held them off one more time on 3rd and 1. I know MOS wouldn't have challenged as it's an automatic review by CC but they didn't even say they were reviewing it and after a short delay went into the pt after. Did they review this or not? And what evidence does anyone see that it crossed the line.
  12. Schedual doesn't get much easier for the Riders. BC, Ham, Edm, TO and a bye. I see them beating BC next week and getting their butts kicked by Ham and Edm. TO game might be another W. Could very well start 1-6. Although this being the CFL they could be 4-3 lol.
  13. Willy was 20-29 for 251. Not terrific but wow those are good stats for having a concussion in all seriousness Willy looked good. Made good reads, scrambled when he had too and took some big hits. I think we can put the concussion to bed?
  14. My bad. Feel free to flag me for starting a new thread about the flags LMAO.
  15. Does anyone else hear the snap, crackle and pop coming from the west? First it was the smoke of all the jerseys being burned for losing to us now the sound of the fans hoping off the wagon. Can't say I'm smiling enough.
  16. I seriously just did the same thing!!!!
  17. This is getting to a point where it's getting impossible to watch a game because of all the flags. Seriously. Last nights game was impossible to watch, the Bomber game had enough and now the Rider/BC game is getting beyond frustrating. When are the players going to pull a Tom Canada and pull the flag out of the refs pocket. How long before the fans start getting annoyed and not watching or sending the league nasty emails? I know the new rules are difficult for the players to adjust and there will be some more penalties. But what's with all the bench penalties and late calls from the refs . Just let the men play!
  18. He's had 3 documented concussions in the CFL plus one in college. But the article I read suggested he's had many more. http://slam.canoe.com/Slam/Football/CFL/Winnipeg/2012/10/01/20247596.html This article from 2012 says anywhere from 2-6 concussions since College. 10 seems high. 4-6 is likely. May have had more or less depending what they consider a concussion. And in his playing days when they didn't really care much about them he could have had more! You would think with Buck being a coach for us now he would be one of the guys helping out in determining if Willy is A-OK to play. I think he may know a thing or 2....or 6 about these types of things 10 would be about one a year throughout his pro and college days. It's unlikely, but I bet in his time as a Bomber he had about 5 so who knows lol this kind of statement is ridiculous. He took more head shots in BC than he did as a Bomber. As a Bomber it was always other things. His elbow, his legs his shoulders. Think he is exaggerating a bit on 5. I can only remember 2 that were clear as day....The one against the Riders when they knocked his helmet off and once against TO when Brandon Isaac hit him. Both times I don't remember him being KOd though.

  20. Brutal media coverage. As someone else said I'd rather no news then a "hey look at me I'm here but who gives a F***" tweet. For comparison sake anyone feel free to post some tweets from other teams media personal for today? Just so we can see if it's a CFL thing or a Bomber thing? I don't go to Twitter to find out Bomber news (I come here) but it's nice to flip through and catch a quick note on practice or a signing or something.
  21. I said it before the season started and I said it after they just beat Hamilton. I don't think Calgary is as good as everyone thinks this year. They lost a lot of good players in the off season. That being said I don't think our Blue are that much improved either
  22. Was it the Oline or is it the Gin???
  23. Little off topic but anyone else reading the threads over at RF.com? Seems like the leagues best fans are having a hard time with this loss..... Topics like firing their new DC, Seasons done, can't win with out DD, upset about officiating.....all doom and gloom... and I kinda like it I though only we fell apart after a loss like that....
