Agreed. I seem to remember Irving mentioning that it was a minor injury that occurred in practice.
-
As of right now. McGuire could very well dress for the WF.
-
Finish a game? That would be one thing. But there's 2 games left. I would not like to see him start the GC.
-
That's how I feel too. People also tend to forget that many thought he outplayed Streveler in the 2019 Pre Season. The guy can stand in the pocket and riffle it. Playing with 3rd stringers in a nothing game against a team still playing for a playoff spot is not a death sentence imo. I'd like to see heavy competition in camp next year though.
-
But he MIGHT have to. That's why he needs to know the playbook as well as whoever he would be replacing. He would be 1 maybe 2 plays away from having to run the Offence for who knows how long. Collaros goes down play #2 Mcguire goes down in 3rd Q. Now we have a qb who only understands 4 maybe 5 plays out of the playbook? That's the potential situation people are asking for. It's not fair for anyone unfortunately.
-
I think if they signed him, they would announce it asap to help ticket sales/ramp up the city. Unless that happens later today or even tomorrow you're looking at 3 days of practice?
-
If Streveler is done with the NFL (not likely imo) I would not be surprised to see him in WPG in 2022.
-
That is true. I guess it depends just how bad the injury is. In terms of waiting on the NFL this year....he could likely do both honestly. Come up here for a bit, then get released to pursue the NFL again. Something else that is part of the equation is his vax status. If he's not vaxxed non of this matters. Either way he'd still have to quarantine for 7 days right? So if he's coming, he had better do so ASAP.

I'm not sure Brown is serviceable. When it comes to air lifting players in. Oshea has seemingly done it right. When they brought Rose in, he let the DBs talk it out to see who should sit. I'd imagine the same would be done for other positions. And in this case, I'd expect Brown to know he should be the odd man out. But I still don't see it happening.

Everyone was so worried that Collaros would go down last week.....how has that changed for the WF? If Streveler is the back up, he's one play away from running the O. Whether Collaros starts or not.
-
Yeah thats not at all the same. If anything it does show that Oshea is willing to bring a guy in and let him be on the roster over another guy who has been here all year. Which isn't always something he's done in the past. But a CB learning a roll under the same D is VERY different from QB learning the playbook in a different O...even of its just a bit different.
-
If he's dressing, he needs to know the play as well as whoever he's replacing. Injuries happen in game and if he has to take over due to injury....I want him to be up to date.
-
I would love for him to come here for the west final to get a standing ovation and pump up the crowd pre game.....don't see him being able to do anything more than that.
-
at the very least it's taking up time in the court that could be used for something that's actually important.

I got into a discussion with one of the 3down writers yesterday. He was going on about how the bombers should be concerned about the lack of run game and over all lack of offense in the 2nd half of the CGY game (No I'm not kidding). Oh and the defensive collapse should be worrying as well....? When I challenged him on that, you know...like saying back ups were in, lack of pass game made run stopping easier etc etc. He would only comment on how the Stamps also had back ups in?? Which is true, but he for some reason thought that would have an impact on the 5th. He even went so far as to say the Bombers are praying they don't see the stamps again this year...lol. He kept bringing up the week 4 game and how the stamps weren't totally healthy and also added key players since then. I basically said the same thing for the bombers, but it didn't seem like he understood that? I'm not sure (I think the guy is the CGY version of Hodge, just far more of a homer) why he couldn't see both sides of things. But for that reason alone, I hope the Stamps get to the 5th. However I just don't see it happening.

GDT - Week 16 - The Champs @ The Stamps

It's almost like there was a lack of a certain offensive attack style so cgy solely focused taking away the run in the 2nd half.... -
GDT - Week 16 - The Champs @ The Stamps

Yeah the game started really well for them. But the Huskies are just too good. -
I agree with both of you. Harris is well known to put up big numbers with low points. That's ot hateraide it's just how it is. And there was more than 1 drive in the 2nd half. But also, he DID put together a decent drive into scoring zone and someone else messed up. Can't fault him for that.
-
As for the non vaxxed players. Didn't @Mike say the only player of concern would be fully vaxxed by the 5th?
-
I believe he was calling Stafford the journeymen.
-
With that contract, there isn't going to be a team to trade with. Reilly has really ****** up his career with BC amd that contract...especially the initial one. I'm fairly sure he will be back in BC, but hopefully he's figured out that other players want to get paid too.
-
That's just not true. Plenty of posters on here and even more people on Social media where continually asking when he'd get into the line up even after he had been here for a few weeks.
-
Lol remember how many people thought Naaman came here to start?
-
Just came across this on twitter Riders can claim to be Canada's team...but the Bombers are clearly the ones with the most cultural impact.
-
Yeah but if the Stamps or anyone else want to **** around, they will find out.
