  1. Everyone going tonight. Stay safe, 4th wave is very much here, getting multiple emails from child's school about positive cases.
  2. I thought this too, but he is a citizen so he will be allowed back in.
  3. We have Borsa in the batters box ready to go. So we will still have depth there.
  4. Speaking of changes. This may have been Hamiltons last shot with this crew. I'm not sure what they're going to look like next year but they have some serious change coming. I do feel for that fan base, but also love that their "stars" didn't get it done.
  5. I remember when the design was first reported. I was confused at why they would build a stadium straight out of the 1950's. I believe $$$ was a huge factor (obviously) but still to hear about it today....they'll be lucky to get 20 yrs out of it.
  6. God damn it. I really don't want this year to be over!!
  7. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=495298591230499 https://www.cfl.ca/2017/10/15/matt-nichols-touchdown/ https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/07/05/recap-winnipeg-29-ottawa-14/ (12 second in) Here are just a couple throws that prove he could in fact hit the wr deep in stride. That's the last I'll say about this.
  8. I think Harris stays for 1 more year to get to 10K. But it wouldn't surprise me if he hangs them up either. I figured Bryant would be the most likely to say goodbye. But his interview in the locker room, he was talking about how he wants to keep everyone together to go after a 3 peat....so that gives me hope. I also think Jeffcoat stays. I can see us losing Lawler(NFL) for a few months anyway. Nichols/Alford and maybe Richardson(CFL)? Like always it's going to be an interesting off season.
  9. I don't want to derail this thread. But this statement is flat out false. See WPG vs OTT 2019 in Ott for just one example. Early 2019 Nichols led the league in deep ball completions. His arm strength was not a problem until his most recent injury.
  10. I've found it odd that for years now, special teams hasn't really evolved at all. It's starting to happen with punting nit just for distance and height. But it seems like there is a lot more that could be done to that side of the game.
  11. I'm convinced Naylor very much wants to be a part of the xfl. And I dont mean that in bad way. But he always pushes every and any piece of info about the CFL/XFL connection. Regardless of how meaningless it is.
  12. I honestly don't know. But the article quotes no one And just complains about the possibility of the change. 3down trying to make a story out of nothing imo
  13. I feel like when Randy said everything would be up for review when it came to the rules. Someone piped up and said "even the 3 downs compared to 4?' And Randy said "everything will be up for review".....and then they wrote that article.
  14. Have you never been to a football game? It's honestly surprising how many times you say things that make you seem like you've never watched football before. He very well could have been watching the field of play....in your infinite wisdom have you forgotten how many footballs are used throughout a game? Or how big a field is...especially when sitting at field level? And again no one thinks the 17yr old was the target...? Wtf are you talking about? If Gainey was targeting someone it would have been the guys that heckle players every game behind the visitors bench. Gainey just missed.
  15. That article is 100% click bait. End of story.
  16. That's too bad. Gotta sting going through the entire season and being held out for something like that. Just gut wrenching.
  17. There is no longer any debate about it. Stanley Bryant is the Greatest Offensive Lineman the CFL has ever seen.
  18. Baseball/hockey.....sure....I can understand where you're coming from. At a football game..? That's a bit of a stretch.
  19. I know it sucks that the prairie teams will be floating the league basically, but keep in mind that Rogers/Bell etc are very large corporate entities with very little "human" decision making capabilities. Single owners like the Braleys of the world can understand why their team took a hit year and year and even be ok with it. Companies with stock holders DO NOT. They see only 1 thing and that's the amount of $$ they made or lost. End of discussion. No if ands or buts. And if a section of said company is only losing money year after year after year, they will let it die or sell it off. The league can't afford to lose a team right now. So what it comes down to, is making sure those companies don't see red after Q4 when it comes to the CFL.
  20. Typical "LoOk iT uP" from @letternumbers
  21. Not to derail the thread, but of course there's an idiot on twitter blaming this on the vaccine lol.
  22. just not 3 plays in a row I think hamilton tries to establish the run. They'll use a lot of motion and get a few different guys involved. While I don't think it will be a repeat of the WF in terms of turnovers, I do worry that Collaros's luck with poorly placed/timed throws has ended. He got away with quite a few bad throws this year (especially deep) that I hope he gets figured out this week.
  23. Agreed. CFL wired used to be fun to watch, this year it has been so boring I stopped watching mid season. They don't show anything new and most of the time the players that are mic'd up are so boring they add nothing at all.
  24. Yeah the article definitely plays up the victim hood. I really hope Tony gave it to Gainey after catching it, cause I've played football with him (Tony) and his hands are suspect at best lol. So if he caught it, it couldn't have been too bad!! lol. Saying that, there's no doubt in my mind that the ball would have been a rock. Anyone who thinks differently just needs to go outside today and toss a real football around a bit to find out.
