Good way to drum up some revenue. But there's no way I'm paying that price.

Yup, The 2.0 hate is short sighted if you ask me.

It ain't great, but I'm watching live football here https://afi.yaretv.com/

I think my 1st memory related to the bombers would be lining up at a Taco bell (I think) to get an autograph from Matt Dunigan. I was very excited to meet him, but when it was my turn in line I froze. I don't think I said a single word to the man. But I got him to sign a poster and a hat. I still have that hat...though it doesn't fit anymore. And the autograph is basically worn away (I wore it with pride as a kid). I can't remember what my first "bomber game" memory is. But other things that stick out would be racing my brother down the ramps at the old stadium after the game. Just running around the stadium alone during the game when I got bored. Watching the mascots beat up on each other and the amazing entrances from Buzz and Boomer. As a kid those things really made the difference between me being bored at home games and able to have a good time. I do remember asking my dad if we were going to a bomber game one Sunday afternoon and him being pretty surprised cause he didn't think I'd want to go. It was during the Reinbold era and well we all know how those teams were. I remember it was against Calgary (Who I hated) and I knew there was a good chance they were going to lose...but maybe just maybe they'd win. So I wanted to be there just in case. Win or lose though I Just wanted to be in that atmosphere. I also remember having the ONE AND ONLY time a stuffed football toy was launched to the upper deck right at me (a kid at the time) I put my hands up to catch it and the motherfucker (an adult) in front of me reached up and caught it before I got a chance. That was the closest I ever got to catching one of those at a game and I was crushed!! Those sling shots could really launch those things. I also remember fights breaking out between fans in the upper deck. Making fun of the west side and leaving games with sore hands from banging on the back of the benches. Man I miss that place. And how could I forget the Happy Honker! As a kid I loved that part of the post game!

I know Collaros is gonna start, but I really think Streveler will play a big roll. I can see him breaking a long run for a touchdown against that Dline....just a hunch
-
Me: "Collaros won't even play, he's just an insurance policy." We've all said silly things

He's actually right....even if he was trying to prove an opposite point. The way those industries are run is pretty rough. Airlines were making record profits and still needed bail outs...That's a flawed model Wade. On top of that....there were plenty of people saying we're due for a pandemic....people warn us all the time about how weak our society actually is. Now when something starts crushing it everyone in charge of anything "Oh we didn't see this coming" "Who would have known" Unprecedented this, unprecedented that. I thought Miller would lead better then he is. Stop making excuses.

Yeah I suppose there is a time and place for them. I still believe the CFL could have done a better job representing themselves to the gov. (If the reports are true anyway)
-
Bobs take is a little off. An interest fee loan shouldn't exist for any business. It sucks, but I wouldn't have agreed with a decision like that. And Miller is trying to save face and claim the government dragged them along...? Your commish went to them with a Taman like plan (napkins). There's plenty of blame to go around, I'd like to see some of the high ranking members of this league take some of it on to their own shoulders. Stop pointing fingers and get the **** to work.

do you have a time?
-
I believe the players are required to self quarantine for 2 weeks BEFORE coming to the city, and then another 2 when here. I might be mistaken about that.
-
There's no chance of a season right now. Its too late. I honestly don't know why they are taking so long to announce this.
-
I'm guessing you dont know anyone who has worked for him? Less hostile isnt how I would describe it. Lol

I had a very different experience. It depends a lot on the individuals sinus cavity. My test didn't hurt but was pretty uncomfortable. On the other hand it barely registered for my wife or daughter (3 yr old). My son balled his eyes out (6yr old). And we waited for 2 and 1/2 hours....this was before the latest spike in MB.
-
It's a good start. But why would anyone refuse to take a Covid test?
-
Saunders was talking on twitter about the 9 owners paying ten% to help...i dont know what he means by that. But there seems to be at least some wishful thinking by the players to say the least.
-
Or what? A sports team name will change? OH THE HORROR!!!!
-
This is worrisome. They can't even get the details to what they are managing correct but want us to believe they will be able to run this thing? Devil is in the details and that's a pretty horrible start.

John Bowman.

This is even weirder. I've heard this change would cost $$$ and fans would be staying away https://www.sportsnet.ca/football/cfl/edmonton-cfl-team-sees-merchandise-sales-spike-name-change/
-
This is weird considering I have it on good authority that people just didn't care.... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/inuit-reaction-edmonton-cfl-team-name-change-1.5658904?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar

it's almost like individuals are...different...

Eskimos, when the team was named, wasn't seen as derogatory or racist. That's the modern spin. I mean...if we've learned anything, it's that in the early to mid 1900's there was very little racism. I'm sure when the stamps called Edmonton that it was very respectful lol.

Edmonton Elk

I like the Elk better then empire...mostly cause they could have sweet antlers painted on their helmets.
