  1. I'm fairly sure he was trying to challenge contact on a rec. Ref told him he couldn't, then said he would pick it up, which would have been a delay of game....so he challenged pi. I'm not a very good lip reader though.
  2. Rookie qb? Franklin is no rookie. Low in experience sure. But he's no rookie. And keeping any team to 4 points offensively is impressive.
  3. I agree. I don't think it would make sense. I don't know who should pay or how the training/education/medical help should happen. I'm just saying, simply getting people fired likely won't be enough to make them understand their beliefs are wrong/dangerous etc etc. So basically nothing changes except their platform...which is good. But probably not good enough.
  4. This is what I struggle with in these situations as well. Not so much with this specific case. But the one that comes to mind is that Racist Lawyer in NY. He was caught and called out as a racist. Which is good on the surface. But as a result, his entire life was over turned and essentially destroyed. And it's not that I think he didn't deserve that. Racism is 100% based in hate and is completely stupid. BUT.....I'm not convinced that due to what happened to him, he has come to realize he was in fact wrong. I would bet that he has become more entrenched in his beliefs that immigrants are ruining america. So how has all this helped? I mean on one hand, he's no longer in a position of power. Which is good. But how many people will he tell about his "victimization" to convert them to his beliefs? Basically what I'm saying is, it's not enough to just get these people out of their jobs/ridicule them for being that dumb. There has to be some kind of follow up to make sure they understand why those things happened to them and why their beliefs are A)Dumb and B)Dangerous. Maybe that is happening, but it sure doesn't become known.
  5. I agree. I liked getting him involved. But then it just seemed like they were forcing it even though it wasn't working all that well.
  6. CONGRATULATIONS - YOU WIN DUMBEST POST OF THE DAY, AND IT'S ONLY 10:17AM!!! THAT'S GOTTA BE A RECORD FOLKS!
  7. What surprises me most is that he seemingly hasn't learned that when you say things like this there's going to be backlash. It's just a lack of intelligence at the end of the day. Both because of his thoughts on the subject but also because of how he went about expressing his opinion. Unless he wanted to get fired then I suppose he played it right. I'm not even in the public eye and I watch what I say on social media sometimes cause some tool will take it out of context or it won't come across as polite as it would had i spoke. My company has a social media clause in the contracts now, and anything I say/share on there that can be seen as offensive can potentially get me fired. So guess what? I don't post about it, whether it's for proper rights/representation of certain groups or politics or just trolling some bigot. I just don't do it. It's not worth my career and will likely create nothing but negativity at the end of the day. His platform, his replies to DMs and his history of making stupid comments show me that he just isn't a very smart man. Smart boy, sure. Man....not quite. There's a lot of 30+ year old boys running around out there calling themselves men.
  8. His challenges in both games were bizarre. Complete wastes, even if they were over turned.
  9. I'm taking Cgy receivers especially if they have Rogers in the line up over any other core in the league. So I think it would legit be as easy as tossing it up, both because I honestly think they are that good, and MTL is that bad. Saying that, say the Cgy O isn't clicking, it will still be a blow out cause that CGY D is gonna put up 21 points lol. K maybe not as I see Matthews is out and I think Adams will do better than he would have. But short of Flutie going back in time to his 30 yr old self and joining the Als, CGY is going stomp them.
  10. Anyone can just toss it up to those receivers. And their Defence is going to run wild on Matthews. I'm expecting this game to be over midway through the 2nd Q.
  11. Andrew Harris #33 of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  12. This is just incorrect. Bowman was a YAC machine when in Edmonton. He legitimately ate D's up running crossing patterns. It's also pretty widely known that his issues with dropping the ball was mostly due to an eye sight issue, which was corrected in Edmonton. Obviously it still comes up, but it wasn't just some mysterious thing that went away cause Edmonton only ran him deep.
  13. Yeah my thoughts too. As bad of a loss as that was. I don't think the Lions really out played the bombers. The bombers just made too many mistakes. On O Nichols was bad...however not as bad as some are making it out (demski has to catch that) his receivers left some plays out there. On D I didn't mind the play calls, kept the ball in front of them...just need to tackle!!!! That's not on Hall. ******* wrap up Loffler! Not that he was the only one whiffing. I'm not trying to discredit the Lions either, they played well enough to win. But I think that's about as good as it gets for the lions this year. The bombers...not so much.
  14. That's very true too!
  15. It absolutely will. Jennings 1st int was a horrible over throw to a guy basically standing right in front of him. His 2nd pick was also bad, but Biggy made a nice play on it as well. Don't forget about the wide open WR he missed on the sideline that would have been 6. The lions left some points on the field because of Jennings play. They will be better with Lulay.
  16. Damn it!! Shoulda stuck with my gut
  17. Ok cool...do you still need me to PM you?
  18. Any way I can chance my Ott vs CGY pick? I picked CGY originally, but would like to change it to Ott.
  19. An old less mobile qb without an arm has a better chance behind that Oline?
  20. Wally is using it as he should. Get his boys ramped up to actually make a play. It is what it is. Doesn't bother me at all. I do think this game could be a bit of a trap though. Bombers will be fired up of course, but I think any lead unless it's absolutely huge will be a struggle to hold on to. I expect BC to play a full 60 saturday to try and stay in the pack of the West. Saying that, the Bombers need to win this one as well. Have yet to be above .500 this year. Have to start showing they're elite if they want to be called it.
  21. Andrew Harris
  22. I'm fairly sure that's the only game he's caught a ball in. as in 3 out of 4 he hasn't caught anything.
  23. That's where my thoughts went too. I was willing to give him a few games to settle in. But damn...it's been what 3 out of 4 without a catch now.
