  1. Did no one watch most of the game? Offence sputtering? They put up points. drove the field...and reminder, they did so usually from the opponents side of the field. Hard to get those nice stats when you only need 40 yards for a touchdown. Offence did its job. Defence was lights out. Special teams held it down. How anyone can complain after a win like is beyond me.
  2. No no no...bc is clearly a great football team. And they WILL be in the playoffs...haven't you been paying attention. Posey got paid off of one catch from last year. He's a solid reciever, but nothing special.
  3. Especially if said fans had no idea how football works. You're right.
  4. I'm not disputing that. I'm saying all the coaches on this team, are 100% here for the remainder of the year regardless of the outcome of this game.
  5. not a chance. This management went an entire season with Etch as D coordinator. They aren't going to fire a head coach who could still make playoffs before the season is over.
  6. He also plays special teams so that may keep him on the roster
  7. Maybe Augustine...
  8. The problem with the no huddle offence is the slow ass Refs. Blow the play in ya jackass!
  9. 1) Part of the game. 2) Part of the game. 3) Attempting to make the game as safe as possible, and protecting the product. 4)This is irrelevant. Obviously people are willing to stand in there and take those hits. They are compensated, they are aware of the risks. And finally, the hits this conversation were about, where not pancakes. They weren't even what anyone would consider huge "blow the guy up" kind of hits. They were, from what I can see, text book examples of how to tackle someone safely. And yet, still flagged. At some point, you just gotta play football.
  10. yeah exactly...The players know the risks and no one is forcing them to play. Don't want to get hurt...don't play. These rule changes are made up in two parts. 1 to protect plays. 2 to protect the product. Starters getting hurt, hurts the brand. No body wants to watch who ever is backing up Tom Brady play who ever is backing Aaron Rogers. And while it's a nice gesture the leagues are trying to make, at the end of the day its about $$$$$.
  11. I think Thompkins has another huge game. And Petermann is going to make it hard for anyone to get him off the field. I honestly think it's almost beneficial IF Demski and Harris miss this game. Yes of course it will hurt the O. But it will also force them to get more people involved, which we saw a bit of on Friday. Wolly, Thompkins specifically. They need to be fed the damn ball!! Early and often.
  12. They also went on a 6 game losing streak...it wasnt like their season was all sunshine and lolly pops.
  13. That wasnt the same defence Streveler played. 5 new starters, most in the league say their D has greatly improved. I dont know what Streveler would have done. But the two games shouldn't be compared too hard.
  14. U said the bombers weren't elite in anything. I gave an example of something they are clearly elite in. You brought up last game where that part wasnt great. To which I replied, if your definition of elite is being the best week in week out, not one team can meet that criteria. If you meant just this past game. You should have said so. You didn't. If you dont want to think the bombers are an elite team when it comes to running, that's fine. You're wrong because as you said... The stats dont lie.
  15. You said you couldnt think of one aspect the bombers are elite in. Harris is 2nd in the league, will likely e 1st after tonight again. For 99.99999% of people that would be considered elite. If you're criteria for "elite" is they have to be #1 in the league week in and week out. Literally no one is elite at anything.
  16. I come on to this site now thinking "what kind of stupid **** am I going to find today?" I'm never disappointed.
  17. I'd be willing to bet there are 3-4 thousand people in the concourse at any given time. I'm actually usually surprised at how many people seem to just never go to their seats.
  18. That boy doesn't need to do anything. He comes from money. I think if he focus' he can carve out a career in the CFL. I don't think he will be able to do it in the NFL though.
  19. I'm not sure what happened to Poop. Was still a force in the middle, but must have been missing assignments or something. He isn't hurt or at least on the IR.
  20. Also American QBs have been playing the American Game their entire life. That's not the case in Canada. They have to learn a completely new style of O and learn how to read a completely new style of D. Which is why Streveler is more of a one off, then the norm...assuming his success continues anyway.
  21. I know right I mean it's not like we have a player in the top 2 or 3 of the league in their position....not even one never mind 2.
  22. Noooooooooo. I would have never guessed you felt that way!!!
  23. Can we all just take a minute, and realize that maybe, they did try to bring some of those players back (Considering they just signed 2 that were in TC) and those players declined the offer....I think this happens more often than fans realize. Sometimes players get better paying jobs. Or are waiting on the NFL for an injury. And now there is a new league that is going to be paying more in their own country. It's not hard to believe some players just didn't want to come back.
  24. I'm sure there may have been. But it's just as likely that there were players interested, but they didn't see a benefit of sitting on the pr for 500 a week or whatever it is. Maybe they had a decent job other opportunities etc etc...was just trying to point out that it isn't always a one way street in terms of signing someone, especially to the PR.
  25. Yes but that doesnt fit his narrative so he will ignore it and continue to look at the success of teams with players and coaches that are currently not on the roster or management team.
