  1. I guess where I disagree is voicing = pushing. I don't see it that way. If we don't let people voice their incorrect opinions, they'll never be able to have them challenged.
  2. To be fair....Brandon didn't say they had a right to push their beliefs. Just that they had a right to have them.
  3. Is he though? Did she criticize the league or just a team?
  4. Wow a guy with a history of disrespect to women has a **** take on respectful work place behavior towards women....color me surprised...
  5. Gray is a mystery to me. You gotta think he's had offers from other clubs...I have heard he was kinda like JJ in terms of it was WPG or nothing unless there was an offer that blew his socks off. So yeah I tend to agree, If needed he may be available.
  6. Im not sure what's hard to understand. You don't think they will start 6 on O. They're not taking Brady, demski or Wally out. That leaves the 3 interior linemen. So again, what spot on O are they switching to American?
  7. DT reporting... Anthony Bennet still at TC in a hoody. Maybe that wasn't such a bad bet after all Who you taking out of the O? Guard going American....?
  8. That's what I was thinking too. Seems like an odd cut
  9. If you watched Bennet play last year you'd know why that's a bad bet. He just doesn't belong in the CFL. He stood out in a bad way while on the field.
  10. I have a hard time believing the lawyers would want this kind of attention put on a case that has already had a large amount of public condemnation. There was no good coming from Kelly being around the organization in a public manner.
  11. I just don't understand why the Argos would want Kelly around, in a public setting anyways....talk about distraction. Whoever thought that was a good idea is just dumb. The media attention was already going to be going on and on about Kelly (rightfully so) and they just tee'd up some more juicy headlines. Just idiotic
  12. outside of his ability to get hyped. No one will remember he was on the team in 2 years. it might not be "cashing in" per say...just getting market value or what you think is market value. Having taken cuts to make it work in the past could be a reason for him not doing it this time..."Hey listen, I've helped out multiple times in the past now, I'm not doing it this time." type of thing. All speculation of course.
  13. Of course, didn't you see. The team didn't bring back the victim because they wanted her to know that they take harassment seriously!
  14. at the end of the day there's no possible way anyone can say one way or the other. Pretending like it's a certainty is just stroking egos. For what it's worth, I think Cole should be SAM. But i'm not going to say he's the difference maker in those games. The team still had the best record and went to it's 4th GC in a row while starting more Canadians than anyone else. We all know anything can happen in a winner takes all Championship.
  15. And we can say for certain that having less Canadians would accomplish that?
  16. Say what you want about the starting CNDs last year. But that strategy got us an extra draft pick. Maybe there's more to the story in terms of needing to fill the cabinets again.
  17. (First bolded part)25k isn't a lot....which should speak to how badly she wants to work in that industry. Why would she want to stay though? The questions you should be asking are, what opportunities can come to her if she stays in the industry? What opportunities can come to her if she stays with that organization? How many opportunities does she have to do that job in a profession where there are less than 50 (I'm not sure what the UFL is like for that specific job so I gave them the benefit of doubt) pro football teams in NA? How might another year of experience help her career? I would suggest that her wanting to stay despite the low pay and harassment shows this may very well be a dream job for her. For the record, one of my dream jobs pays less than 35k a year. I'm no longer working in it for various reasons, but if I could i absolutely would. Suggesting $$ is one of the only factors is short sighted. (Second bolded part) yes, so they did the right thing and got rid of the victim. That will really show the victim that they take harassment seriously! And I bet the accused would really learn a hard lesson. That's just an absolutely ridiculous claim to make. Lol.
  18. I think a lot of it has to do with 2 things. 1- sign of the times. SA/SH is being taken Uber seriously which is appropriate IMO by today's business world(well the good ones anyway) and 2-violence, while being limited, is still very much a part of today's game. Harrassment is not at all part of the sport especially with staff that doesn't play. It's embarrassing at this point.
  19. Again, with the league handing down this large of suspension there 100% needs to be lots of evidence against Kelly. Just because you're not privy to it doesn't mean there's nothing there. It's a ridiculous claim to suggest the league is just handing suspensions out on rumours especially after an independent investigation.
  20. That's not in any way a fact. That's just part of the he said she said. Which oddly enough has now turned in to, TO/Kelly said vs Employee/CFL. It's not at all as cut and dry as you're making it out to be. The league isn't going to hand down the largest suspension ever because of some accusations with no merit. That's a ridiculous claim.
  21. The League said the ops would be dealt with shortly.
  22. Personally, I would be willing to throw my career away for 100k. That's life changing money. Hello retirement!!!!!
