  1. Is it cause they won't be ready? Or cause there is a flaw in the ones they sent the bombers?
  2. Yeah the coaches in Madden are actual coaches. There are some fake ones thrown in there once you start getting a few years deep in your franchise. Even some former players.
  3. I love the way your mind works!
  4. Hahahahahaha riders....thanks for making my Monday (I work a Tuesday -Saturday shift) that much better!
  5. Nice to see him retire in blue and gold. One of the best HB's in his prime and a tackling machine! #SWAG
  6. yes an INT is an INT. I'm not sure about your other comment, but I was only mentioning it as it wasn't a particularly great play on his part. Just being in the right spot (which is obviously important).
  7. and if I'm not mistaken it was off a tip.
  8. I don't believe it's exaggerated at all. Right now, teams can get the ball to the 45-50 yard line and have a good shot of winning the game on a last second field goal. You move the goals back another 20 yards, and that 45 yarder has now turned into a 65 yarder. Yes kickers are likely stronger/more accurate. But if any CFL team has a kicker that can hit a 65 yarder, even once out of 5 tries. That guy is going south in no time. Not only would it limit the "no lead is safe" game we love, but it would reduce scoring in general. get to the 40, there's a good chance of scoring 3 from there. Move it back, and that field goal now becomes a punt. It just doesn't work on so so so many levels, it's not really worth discussing. But here I am...ugh the off season sucks.
  9. there is a reason it can't be substituted. You ever see the uprights sway in the wind? What do you think a lighter metal would do? This idea is dumb. In the CFL you get points if you get the ball across the goal line and it stays in the end zone. It's the way it's been and the way it should stay.
  10. Went to mini camp this morning. Nice to see players on the field again. Not much going on. Qb and rec/rb doing some drills and oline doin the same in the endzone. Dressler and Smith certainly stand out. And not cause of their size. Dressler has still got plenty of speed, and Willy hit him beautifully on a corner route. Smith is a very good route runner. Solid cuts and bursts in and out. Mcduffie also really quick, was impressive during a cone drill. Kris Adams is also a guy that stood out, to me anyways. Just looks really smooth.
  11. no **** the riders, Keep Richards and let him retire a bomber legend (hypothetical) AND grab Demski when available...watch them both score countless TDs on the Riders for years to come. GOOOOOOOOOOO **** yourself riders!
  12. I don't believe they play the same position. Demski been used more as a slot/WR than a RB. And I bet Harris plays another 4 or 5 years yet.
  13. It really all depends on how these next years goes for him. If he's a 1000 yard rec with another 500 all purpose or more His price is going up. With the lack of CND talent and a need for ratio breakers, I could see him being a high $ FA. Again though it all depends on how he plays this year.
  14. I've heard plenty of talk that Demski wants to play for the bombers. Don't know how that plays out against making money. But I'd imagine he makes it to FA barring any high deal the riders give him before that. Can we outbid every team to get him? Doubt it. So does his love of WPG over come his need for $$$? Who knows? I sure hope it does though. Stealing him away from the riders would be lovely!
  15. There are just too many variables to say that they themselves were horrible. Play called, and pressure up front being two big ones. You can be Deion sanders, but if the QB has 7 seconds to throw, good luck! Re watching the tape, our DB had excellent coverage often, but as the play went on, and broke down its literally impossible to cover everyone all the time. Hell I could beat Johnny Adams if the qb had enough time to throw the ball (sure he might need like a minute but still). Our weakest links were likely Washington and Johnson. Though they also did a lot of good things last year.
  16. Oshea said he would be going back to corner this year. We don't know for certain that Adams will remain a corner or move to Washingtons spot.
  17. just another post that highlights just how little you know about the game.
  18. Good points, but if you can take away the outside Recs, You can really dictate what the offence can do and put a lot of pressure on the slots. But same can be said for locking down one side of the field. Though there is no way of knowing if Adams would be as good of a HB as he is a CB. I think Randle might be the better candidate for the HB spot as he played well in the Sam position which is similar. But how has he recovered from the injury? It'll be interesting to see what we do for sure.
  19. Fair enough, I'd personally like him to stick to the outside, he's a lock down DB there, leaving more options to double team inside if needed.
  20. I'm only on year 12. Holding out for the right contract!
  21. Yeah not sure why someone would suggest they're going to move our best DB to another postion for a guy who was hurt most of the year? Put randle on wide side, with Johnny staying put.
  22. Or maybe this means Denmark will end up with SSK...which isn't as fantastic and upgrades their REC's....
