  1. Did you read the thread at all? No one was talking about how great of a GM KW is, or how he can do no wrong. We were all talking about how he answered a question on how important it is to have a starting QB back....WTF have you been smoking?
  2. This is getting just getting sad. Can we move on from J5V and actually talk about something relevant
  3. Adding to the two points already made. There's also significant evidence available that suggests throwing the ball away or making quicker decisions helps ones career even while playing behind a poor Oline - see AC and RR as well as Khari (though lots of that was toss up prayers to MR.85)
  4. fair enough about the sarcasm. But again, the question wasn't about his health. Speaking of Drew Willy, he says he’s healthy and raring to go for mini-camp, training camp and the season. What will it mean to you to have that No. 1 quarterback back? There's no question about his health in that sentence. There's a statement about him being healthy. And then the interviewer goes on to ask - What will it mean to you to have that No.1 quarterback back? - That's the question. I know that, because that sentence ends in a "?" that's how the bizarre English language works. The part about his health, isn't a question, as it ends in a period "." I'm also not sure where he "blames" drew willy alone for all his injury woes. But I'm getting the feeling it's pointless to try to explain anything to you.
  5. at least you admit you don't know much about football. now try coming to terms with your lack of reading comprehension. Speaking of Drew Willy, he says he’s healthy and raring to go for mini-camp, training camp and the season. What will it mean to you to have that No. 1 quarterback back? The question was about Drew, and what it means to have him back. It wasn’t about how the oline could improve. Everyone knows a better Oline would help. But there are other things to discuss about this team besides the poor oline play.
  6. to be fair, the CFL probably has a larger say in what gets or doesn't get done. Though I don't know for sure, I'm just assuming they do. Mostly due to that gong show 3rd jersey they tried to pass off as a bomber jersey.
  7. it's in the article that they are going away from gold pants and toward blue. Which to me, is just ******* dumb. It's almost as if the CFL is trying to piss off the fans. I know they aren't. I'm just saying it's no secret to what jerseys bomber fans like. Why not just give it to them???? We haven't seen them though, so hopefully mike is right and the blue pants are a once in a while thing.
  8. I feel like this should have been a reply to one of those PM's
  9. "The new pant design, described to Metro Winnipeg as "way different," will likely move away from gold and into a royal blue primary with white side striping. It remains unclear whether the uniforms will use multiple pant designs between road and home kits. " Oh Ic, from the article....I really hope that's not true. And the gold pants stay. If they **** this up when there sooooo close....I'll be pissed.
  10. What? Where did you see that?
  11. you got to adjust the color on your screen cause that Gold looks just fine to me.
  12. He was a few years gone I believe.
  13. I don't see Miller or Walters letting anyone go mid season, unless we start off something just so god awful there is no choice like 0-8 or worse. I think Oshea is here for the season no matter what. And his fate for next year will be determined then.
  14. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts on MB's time in MTL as well, and why with the same Oline they improved so much under another coach the following year.
  15. Very nice read. Where the **** is this type of stuff in the WFP???? Honestly, for all the posters getting bent out of shape for the back lash at Doug Brown. This is a great article, that's not positive, mostly negative. But a great read. Not convinced on his play design comments, but otherwise very well done with a lot to make you think about. Anyone know if he has other articles out there? - EDIT- Just answered my own question....
  16. lol - uh have you been watching this franchise for the past decade? Media not being a cheerleader is refreshing for you????? Who the **** is the bombers cheerleader in the media, besides the guy they pay? I guess it hasn’t been made clear enough that it’s not his negativity that gets under the skin of some people. It’s how he presents it. Even when he’s on the radio and talking about the good aspects of this team, or defending them. I honestly can’t listen to guy for more than a minute (he never talks for less than a minute if given the chance) cause he just talks and talks and talks about nothing at all. Or just repeats himself and his point in different ways. He’s comes off as someone who just likes to hear himself speak. Which I personally find very annoying. I also work with a guy like this, and he extends meetings for no damn reason all the time! It’s the worst!
  17. I think the saviour on offence will be the 3 headed monster of Dressler Smith and Harris, how you account for all 3 on every snap is beyond me.
  18. exactly, it's not that I disagree with him. It's just he says the obvious, over and over and over again. His article's aren't "hard hitting" like they state they are in the bottom "Doug Brown, once a hard-hitting defensive lineman and frequently a hard-hitting columnist," They're more like, a gentle tickle that everyone who knows anything about the team agrees with because it's so damn obvious.
  19. Doug brown does a lot of talking....still waiting for him to say something though.
  20. also Supermans casket at the end was a nice little tribute to the comic. Need to read that again now!
  21. I personally really enjoyed it. I liked that it was dark and gritty. Especially considering the ending. I didn't want that goofy, hopeful stuff in this. And I thought the few jokes they cracked where....ok. But not needed. Though the plot holes are pretty glaring...I'm not sure if it's been mentioned. But not a chance in hell Batman just tosses that spear away and leaves it there. I thought they did a good job in the luthor story. Though his motivation is a bit of a mystery besides him just being bat **** crazy and power hungry. (which is what lex luthor is) but this was just his beginning. He's just a "kid" compared to the other two, hence his remake into the bald lex at the end. I'm guessing we see a stronger Lex in JL. I loved the fact that they killed off Superman. Yes I know, he's not really dead...but that's how the story line goes. He comes back, i'm guessing they'll rush that timeline a bit for the movies sake but who knows. Justice league might take place multiple years in the future from BvS. I'm just glad they didn't string this out and make another few movies of the same old Superman. We've had that. We've had too much of that as far as I'm concerned. I want to see what happens in a world without superman. I really hope they don't rush him back in JL maybe an appearance at the very end to save the day somehow or something. But I'd be ok if Superman was left out completely in the first movies main plot. I was really worried they would **** up Doomsday, I thought going in that they were going to kill him off with everyone living etc. Was pleasantly surprised they got him to kill superman. His creation, overall look and eye beams where off. But I wasn't expecting a movie to portray him perfectly. A little bummed that he's dead.....but whatever, on to the next great villains. As for the Batman dream sequence. I thought they tried to make it seem like the Flash is talking about superman, but I think it will end up being about Lex. Who will be a villain going forward and somehow be involved in bringing Darksied to earth. Likely before Supermans return. Or at least they make it seem like that (lexs speech at the end about him coming etc). How Louis plays into that I'm not sure. Overall, I thought it was great. Basically what I expected/wanted with a few exceptions. But I will definitely be adding it to my superman collection.
  22. lots of pissed off players!!!
  23. half time should always be one of these 3 as far as I'm concerned - Kids soccer, Kids football, or dog races. 100% more entertaining than some of the crap they've been putting out there.
  24. you realize there isn't a North american sporting league where the owners build the stadium right? Not even in the NFL. Governments take on the majority of the cost for these things. So it doesn't matter how much $$ a teams owner has when it comes to building a new stadium. It's the city that will have to take that on. If they aren't willing, the owners won't step up. Though in CGY I'd be surprised if they don't announce one coming in the next year or two.
