That's a fair point. But at the same time, there's still a 0.00001% chance that someone might see it who has the correct connections and can make something happen. Even if it's not with your organization. Maybe I'm biased as I wouldn't have the career I have now if I had continued to follow the protocol. I agree that it likely doesn't look good, and likely won't work. BUUUUT, it might. And it's that small little chance that makes people like Randle (people who need to do everything they possible can to gain an advantage) do these types of things. Anyway, I know you're a fan of Randles and I do respect your opinion. Just trying to help explain why someone is driven to do weird things like that. When you want something that bad, you do everything and anything you can think of to get it. Even if that means looking like a desperate idiot.

Exactly, you do everything ******* possible to make your dreams come true. Will this work better than other methods, likely not. But at the end of the day (career) I'm betting he wants to look back and be able to say he turned over every stone possible. They call it a grind for a reason. You don't sit back and wait! I love the ratio. It's part of what makes the league special. However I wouldn't mind seeing the ratio drop to 6 players even next year. If a 10th team is added, it should absolutely be dropped by 1 player.

Id 100% rather go against the NFL reg season than NHL playoffs.

Going to a man coverage D the majority of the time just doesn't make sense anymore. With the way the rules are you're setting yourself up for failure. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't think planning your scheme around man coverage is the way CFL D can be played with any long term success. And when the receivers are open the way they are that speaks to breakdowns more than scheme not working. So what needs to change? I want Hall gone, but I don't want the D to get worse. If he stays there's a chance at them getting better I suppose. But that could be said with anyone really. I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.

I think this is a solid move by the Lions honestly. Proven winner, knows the game etc. The power structure is weird though.

That includes his deep ball. He must have a strong arm to hold the ball that long and still hit him in stride. So basically every one in the CFL is a journeyman than? Bowman, jackson, hazelton, sinopolli, williams, harris, flanders, bryant, etc etc etc etc (just include damn near every player) is a journeyman with that as the guideline.

I completely disagree with this statement. They aren't all stars. but they are solid. Didn't Coates have the 2nd most amount of catches in the play off game? Behind only Dressler. I thought I read that. And Journeymen??? Both have only every played with one other team.

I'm not sure I'd call Knox a bust, I think it was a combo of his lack of understanding the D and needing another CND starter. I'm rooting for Knox to have a break out year next year. That guy can bring the lumber!!!!!

I honestly think they were ready to move on from Hurl last year and try out Knox as the MLB, for whatever reason didn't have the ability to find a reliable back up, or another starting CND and brought hurl back in. Fully believe they settled for him and he wasn't what they planned to go with until late.

He's still got 13 years.....lol
