Did I miss Ottawa hiring someone?

Yup, it's been reported here plenty by posters who go to practice to actually watch. I've also seen it first hand, standing around not even looking at the field. That's why during TC it's best to come here for information. Most of the time the media doesn't do a good enough job. I will say it's likely not that great for the average fan to not get the media coverage all the time. But at the same time, is it any better to the average fan if the reports are all bland and basically crap??

What are the expectations of that LB we just signed?

Sorry, but you don't get to be the leading receiver in the league by just "padding your stats". The guy has become a game changer that you must account for. Not giving him the credit he deserves for his play the last few years is ignorant at best. Yup, he's drops the ball. But if you can be a top receiver even after all drops, what does it matter?

Marcel B has been hired by the Lions. Not sure in what capacity.

If our Offence improves slightly that will (going off this past season) be enough for a playoff spot alone. We were far off. And had we won a couple of the games we lost by just a few points. We make the playoffs.

I'm not so sure. I'm guessing Thorpe isn't too happy with being passed over for the HC job a few times now. I know I wouldn't want a disgruntled D coordinator on my staff. Especially with the offence the ALs have right now. Wouldn't be surprised to Hear Thorpe is getting fired in the next few days

It would be impressive, although a bit of a stretch. What happens if Chris Jones bolts for the good ole south? Lots to keep our eyes on. Not that much of a stretch, really. Redblacks went from 2-16 to 12-6 and a Grey Cup appearance. Doesn't always have to be a ten-year plan like the Bombers. yes cause we haven't been to the cup in ten years......I get what you're saying, but the constant bs about the bombers always being bad is becoming a bit much. how about Kyle Walters just does what every other GM in the league can do and find some pass catchers on his own from the states? There's only about a million of them down there. If they are that easy to find EVERY NFL team would have "perfect" pass catchers. Most NFL worth their weight have at least one star receiver who can be dominate. The same goes for CFL teams. Arcenaux (spelling?) Walker, Rogers, Roosevelt (SSK? I think that's his name) TO has a plethora along with Ott/Ham. Maybe the only two teams that don't are Montreal and WPG.

I realize you are spit balling numbers to just try to make the riders look bad. John Murphy's contract is up with the Stamps and he applied for GM job with the riders so we didn't exactly pull him away from the stamps. 400k is more than a head coach makes so highly doubt that number unless u can provide a link or proof. Even though Murphy wasn't hired as GM he has received a promotion here. As far as Jones at 600k, that's a great price for a coach/gm combo probably far less than the bombers are currently paying their 2 people in those positions. O'Day may be at 250k, likely going rate for a AGM. As far as Taman/ Chamblin, coaches get fired all the time and contracts have to be paid, how much did bombers pay Lapo to sit at home?? I think you're out of your mind if you think 600,00 is far less than what the BB are paying oshea and Walters. I'd be surprised it was more.

I don’t think it’s that obvious Noeller. 3. Earlier this year there was another 50/50 draw that was not claimed. The winnings went to the next games 50/50 and because of the pot being so much bigger, 50/50 sales were way up. In light of recent events, that 50/50 draw has to be in question now too. It was claimed. But the person was ineligible. Completely different scenarios.

I was lynched by my friends due to my dislike of Pierce at the QB position from day one. Didn't think he was much in BC and didn't expect anything from him in Blue and gold (I was right). Great guy though. But I feel a lot better going into next season with Willy now, than I would with Pierce even in his prime. I'm betting we see a much improved Oline. Likely will be the most improved aspect of the team (assuming the talent we have stays). I'm more concerned about our Rec now. It will be a true test to see if it was routes or talent that was hurting them these past few years. I suspect it's somewhere in the middle. Hopefully Moore returns to his down field threat skills that we saw in BC. And denmark actually gets to see more then 1 ball a game.

o.k...who is the best choice and why? Someone who hasn't failed here twice already for obvious reasons. Lapo has been stuck on TSN for the last few years, that says something to me about how in demand the guy is. Yeah he's the most experienced candidate out there... but that isn't exactly much to hang your hat on. Actually if you watch the interview you will hear that he said there are reasons why he stayed with TSN and turned down potential offers. Not to mention it's been reported/confirmed Oshea talked to him about the OC job when he first started but lapo said he wasn't interested at that time. Probably the payout from his last stint outweighed that of an OC Actually, I just read about this, this morning: MOS says he called Lapo when he first got the job, but never offered him a job...just called to "talk about football".... The exact quote "O’Shea revealed on Tuesday that he first approached LaPolice about the Bombers offensive coordinator job when O’Shea took over as Bombers head coach prior to the 2014 season, but LaPolice told him he wasn’t interested at that time."
