  1. ugh how many times did we see this on sunday?
  2. See marcel's entire career. Pretty much every single problem that's happening with this offence can be seen in any team he's coached. I don't want to blame everything on him, cause football is pretty complicated and lots of things lead to mistakes. But We've seen this exact thing play out on every team he's had his hand on. edit - I feel like I'm continuing to beat the hell out of a dead horse. But this is literally the biggest problem with the team and how they are performing.
  3. Then it will be game # 2 this year that the offence clicked....great.....
  4. I wanted to toss my beer at MB like I said I would if he did that...but I was drinking Rum. And that **** is expensive. That Aug 9th stat and the Denmark/Moore TD total make me want to sell my seasons. I've been through some shitty seasons with this team, but this team has NO hope as long as MB is here. And it's hard justifying my time and money spent on this bullshit. FYI, that's something I've never said before even during the 3-15 year, even through all of jim dailey, mike kelly etc etc....I just can't put up with this level of obvious ineptitude from our Offensive coach.
  5. So now the score will be what on saturday? 30-15 for SSK, instead of 37-15....great
  6. I'm a Mos fan....But if nothing changes ill loose my ****. This is pathetic!!!! Honestly I'm. Ready to clean house. And that's not something I take lightly. I have no hope with this regime. **** Marcel, tracey, oshea, and Miller.
  7. I'm in Regina right now and fairly drunk. But I'll say AGAIN!!!! Bombers won't win until Marcel is gone. He's a ******* loser
  8. Brohm is a waste at this point. But unfortunately we don't have any other option. So I'm not sure I'd say he's being rewarded being the starter. It's literally the teams only option at this point, and I'm sure Brohm is aware of that.
  9. I honestly have such a hard time responding to your posts. They're filled with such misinformation that it makes me really wonder if you are capable of seeing things with an unbiased eye. I mean really, you made two statements in that entire post and neither one of them is anywhere even NEAR true. Willy has completed 23 quarters of football this season, so for the sake of giving your argument a bit of merit, let's say 6 full games even though it's one quarter and change short of that. He's thrown for 8 touchdowns and we've rushed for 3 more on drives that he's finished off. So on average, it's basically double what you suggested. When Brohm came in against Hamilton, it was 17-7 Hamilton. In the first quarter. That is not a game that is out of hand, never mind "well out of hand". When Brohm came in against Edmonton, it was 4-3 Edmonton. Neither one of these is a ridiculous situation for a backup quarterback to enter into. They should actually be the exact kind of situations a backup QB is mentally prepared to enter, seen as how the body of their work isn't really expected to come in mop up time after their team is already well out in front. Feel free to share your opinion but don't try and lace it with pure bull**** and expect to have it slide. While I agree with most of this post Mike. average of 2 tds a game is still complete bullshit, especially this year. But as for the other comments, yes the games he's stepped into have given him plenty of time to show something...even a glimmer of hope that he's improving...but we only see 3 passes in a row bounce off the turf. Brohm is brutal, but I'll say MB is worse. Oh, for sure not good enough. But that doesn't make the facts in his post any more accurate. I said I'm ok with Brohm starting this weekend. Given who is available, who would you prefer? Could Brohm have been better coming off the bench? Maybe but I'm not going to vilify the guy because given the limited reps he does appear to do some things well. Better than Marve. And he does some things tempo-wise better than Willy. Unfortunately it's been a perfect storm for him. As for Drew Willy - he has NOT been able to produce 2 TDs per game. Far from it. Since he arrived in Winnipeg Willy has generated less than one strike per game, on average. In 24 starts for him its 22 TDs. And 19 INTs. That level of O production is not going to win games in Pop Warner, let alone the CFL. Winnipeg's can't run, can't pass O doesn't scare anyone, even with Drew Willy at the helm. In the 7 games he's appeared in this season its 11 tds which is 1.6 per game. 1.83 if you realize he was in for essentially 6 games. A little better than you had it down, no? Or do rushing tds not count? I'm not sure what you're trying to say. But no 11tds in 7 games is not nearly good enough. I'm not trying to bash Willy here. I'm a huge fan of his. but 2 tds a game isn't good enough.

  11. And they are welcome to him. He shows every indication that his problems are bigger than his talent. CFL recognizes NFL suspensions. Blackmon is an incredible talent... if he gets his act together (HUGE IF) and gets his suspension lifted there's no doubt he'll get another NFL opportunity... I use him regularly in Madden! Sooo yeah....don't really know where I'm going with this post....
  12. Does he start next game? Is Brohm shown the door to make room? I'll say this .. if I have to watch Brohm one hop passes again I'll be terribly .. terribly disappointed. To that Mike said:"Out of my cold dead hands". Great move for free. How did Walters do that? HAHA Riders... You lose again. A little premature with that I think.
  13. Franklin started last game.... and played quite well.. Oh I thought he came in the 2nd for nichols....either way not a lot of experience.
  14. Not the biggest signing, but hey...he's better then Brohm and has played decently this year. And for a 7th rounder....hard to say no to that. I guess Reilly is coming back soon. Hard to believe Edmonton would put all their hope on a guy who has yet to start a game.
  15. Nice shiny ring he has on though. yeah there are plenty of GM's out there who have multiple shiny rings who don't totally run teams into the ground.
  16. I don't want Willy back this season. MB will get him hurt again. You can write it in stone. Only when MB goes do I want to see Willy behind centre this year.
  17. I'm not totally against this, as long as we use his skills properly. Knowing MB though, I won't be surprised when we watch him on 2nd and 4, take a hand off from shotgun.
  18. Wrong to whom? The fans? We can criticize all we want and have our reasons for doing so, but we aren't in any position to say his roster moves are wrong, or right.I don't think I know more about football than MOS but evaluation of performance isn't as hard as you make it out to be. He deserves to be questioned. Question O'Shea all you want. Evaluation of players doesn't start and stop with just what you've seen on TV and at the games. There's a lot you don't see, unless you're at every practice and in the meetings. I hate that rationale. It's apparent that O'Shea is stubborn, sticks with players far too long and has terrible roster management. There's a significant difference you need to learn when it comes to throwing players under the bus in the media and holding players accountable for their actions and play. Is cutting or sitting a player the only way to hold them accountable? some people seem to think if it doesn't happen infront of cameras/microphones or on twitter it means nothing is happening at all.....
  19. gotta eat my words. I pretty guaranteed Simmons would be on the game day roster. Wonder why he isn't. Though I'm glad we are going to get veltung and Gordon on the field along with moore and denmark. Lots of speed!!!
  20. I honestly can't tell if you're being serious here. The runs I saw had him tackled by his foot a few times, and stopped while trying to push for more yards. Also don't forget about his last carry where he tried to go outside (when nothing was there) and ended losing yards that took them out of field goal range.
  21. He's claiming people here are saying this is a make or break career moment for Goosen. No one said that. He's a first round pick who has barely played. We just want to know if he can. If he can't it doesn't mean his career is over. If I don't get it, maybe you can clear things up for me, sweep the leg. "Its time to see if Neufeld and Goossen have a future in this league or if our drafting and trading are crappy." That's a quote from this thread. Which is why I said both players have a future and Goossens should be with WPG. As for the CGY/MTL comparison. We have to compare our situation with theirs. That's how we get better. We now have a draft pick that's a starter his rookie year, allowing one project behind him is ideal. Next year hopefully we pick up someone else that can start but if not, take another project and Goossen should be ready to go by then (I think he can fill in now nicely) but if he isn't, we still have the means to develop 2 players while Picard is here and chungh starting.
  22. I'm assuming you didn't watch last night...or any game during the NFL season last year.
  23. Except the 4 games our QB started and finished where our offence was not a problem at all, other than some redzone issues vs Montreal. I disagree. While our team certainly has some talent issues. Our offence has seen plenty of problems even in games we've won. Especially in the 2nd half. Our O doesn't seem to be able to finish teams or take advantage of mistakes that they make. It happened in SSK, against MTL, BC and in CGY. I'd like to see what another OC could do with the talent we currently have on Offence. We have multiple 100 yard game, receivers on the team. An Oline with some talent (yes some holes too) a running back that has shown he can be productive when given the chance and a QB who can make all the throws accurately. I'm not saying someone else would come in and we would be putting up 45 points a game or something, but it would be interesting to see. And I hope we get to see it next year regardless of what happens this year.
  24. No way Higgins ends up in Wpg in any role under O'Shea. Why would O'Shea hire his potential replacement? Does Mike O'Shea strike you as the kind of person who wouldn't hire someone because he's afraid they might take his job? His coordinators are both former head coaches. And neither Hall nor Bellefeuille have had success as head coaches, but Higgins' resume is much better- maybe good enough to be considered. If by some bizarre twist the Bombers get swept by the Riders, I cannot see O'Shea surviving. I can't see a scenario where O shea is fired before the end of the year. I think Miller and Walters know what the issue is with this team, and O'shea is not on the top of that list.
