  1. And that is the problem exactly. There should be a debate. Because so far Drew Willy is not getting it done. He may be the best we've had in awhile but that does not place him above criticism and serious questioning - which has yet to occur. And if we don't debate it we'll stick with him and keep losing. I could go on about his shortcomings - taking too long to get the ball away, taking too long between snaps, not establishing any rhythm, NO ability to sustain a drive, not having that critical QB peripheral 6th sense, not having the killer foot-on-their-throat instinct etc ... You don't agree? Watch Tedford and Lulay will demonstrate how a pro style offense is run on Thursday. lol I like how you start talking about Willy, like it's all on him. But you tell us to look at an established starter AND his coach. Willy can only go as far as his OC. And MB has proven time and time again to have all the qualities your putting on Willy. Lots of us have been saying it since last year. This teams Offence will continue to struggle as long as MB is calling the plays. It is that simple. Willy has the talent to get the job done, MB does not. Willy has won inspite of his OC and lost/been injured because of him.
  2. So the loss is on Brohm? Get real. Willy has yet to score a TD vs Esks in three starts. You're not wrong about what Willy has done against Edmonton, but what do two previous games have to do with Saturday? You sure have a strange desire to go out of your way to hate on Drew Willy. I don't get why folks are blaming Brohm for the loss. That makes no sense. Willy's numbers were hardly any better through 2/3 of the game. Willy was like 7 for 17 and 81 yards. Every time Willy loses it seems like he can do no wrong. He's always aabove criticism. I don't hate Drew Willy. I'd like to see him do well. But we've given him every opportunity through more than 20 games ... and maybe it's time to admit he's just not the second coming everyone thinks he is. who is calling him the second coming? If you can't see he's the best qb the bombers have had in a while, you might need to take a CFL 101 course or something. When not being hit like a rag doll he's putting his team in a position to win almost every game. Does he make mistakes? Of course, he's a 2nd year starter playing with a fairly weak team and a horrible OC. Drew willy is by far the bombers best chance to win right now. There is no debate on that.
  3. can someone do me a solid and post it as a pic, Can't get the link to work on my office PC
  4. marshall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. In the OP it said Picard was sick today. Yes I know. Your point? It's not surprising that with Picard sick they would need another guy snapping the ball and that Neufeld would be that guy. What's with your snarky comments lately Jacquie? I was just stating a fact, that Neufeld was playing centre in practice. It's a notable development, even if Picard was sick. yep, Jacquie is the one being "snarky" I, for one, think it's notable considering how Goosen is waiting in the wings .. The clock is ticking for Goossen. He appears to be bypassed for a starting role, and I am beginning to wonder what is missing from his game. I don't know...he's still young, and this week we are going up against a very good Defence. Might just be an experience thing. I know...you can't get experience unless you get experience....but this might not be the dline to do it against.
  6. I remember watching cornish drag hurl like he was a little boy on a one play. Can't wait till we get an impact MLB and not someone who is just taking up space.
  7. I honestly had a defender hit me harder then that while I played a game of touch football...no penalty...touch football. I wasn't even mad about the no call, cause it was a fair play. What does the Cfl want the defenders to do???
  8. Kevin Glenn pulling a classic Kevin Glenn. Nice to see it happen in green
  9. Apparently I don't know how to post a video instead of a link....so sue me.

  11. except that we've won the last time we've played in each of those cities.
  12. Bastien has been just as bad if not worse. So I doubt it. And to be fair, JFG only really struggled in the Hamilton game.
  13. I hope we blitz the hell outta of them.
  14. well there goes his chance for 18. Too bad. so sad
  15. wtf is this thread becoming?
  16. Collaros hasn't looked that horrible since early last year. Just a brutal game by him.
  17. Ryan Smith, Chad Owens and Weston Dressler say hello. I am starting to see why size doesn't really matter in the CFL at the receiver position. Speed is what kills. Jamal Richardson, and (can't remember first name) Elliot. Each one of those players have guys with size on the field with them.
  18. still would rather have Adams big size compared to Veltung's speed.
  19. I really hope this isn't true come game time. Makes no sense at all. Veltung would presumably start at receiver and Stoudemire would take over return duties. ooohhh....I was thinking it was on the D side of things....Offense makes a bit more sense.
  20. I really hope this isn't true come game time. Makes no sense at all.
  21. True enough, but successful offences use many players. But it's true, those guys will get the majority of work.
  22. To be fair Adams has been open. Just not getting the ball. I don't understand why. In fact on one play last week he was wide open down the middle of the field. We got a first down anyway, so it did't hurt us too bad, but he was scoring if he got the ball there. I think Willy said after the game too, that he needs to get Adams more involved. That's easy to answer (though you may not like it). Drew Willy (specifically) and CFL QB's in general. That's the way the game is played today. They have their 'favourites' and they also have their 'plays' they are comfortable with. I said it many times last year when I was screaming for Willy to be benched - he has tunnel vision and doesn't see the field well. But there a ton of CFL QBs you can paint with that brush. I remember Brock and Clements both being masters of 'spreading' the ball around. Brock had his fav's too for sure but usually for the deep ball. Anything short to middle he was able to find the open guy. Clements was brilliant at it. Willy is the new generation. They're told the play and are afraid to improvise. You watch him against the Stamps, watch how he um, ahem, 'surveys' the field. He's usually zoned in to one guy (maybe two) that's it. And with his happy feet he's too uncomfortable to scan anything more than that. Oh well.................... Can't really disagree with this too much considering the way the Offence has looked this year. Willy certainly likes Moore and Denmark. Kholert too. Nothing wrong with it, but we need to spread the ball around to be successful long term this season.
