I only want to comment on two... First one... you're ageing yourself with this comment about shaving... I can just imagine when you see Waggonner, Newman or Shell... "get a haircut you hippies!" Second one... don't you think there might be a correlation between us releasing a player and him signing on an NFL squad? Yeah, I'm not a fan of the scruffy, unkempt look for sure but I don't hold the players to the same standard as the coach. Hate the dreds on Stoudermire! Hated them on Suber too when he was here. But I do believe your head coach represents your team. I like the Tom Landry clean-cut look. If my coach looks like he cares about his appearance then that is likely to rub off on the players. If my coach is prepared that also tends to rub off on the players. If the coach looks like a disheveled bum, well ... Tell me more about the "second one". If we release a player, and he gets picked up by an NFL squad. Chances are we released him so he could get picked up by an NFL squad. As in, he was aware (or his agent at least) of the NFL as a possibility, so asked if he could go and try to catch on. Being the NFL, the salary alone makes it worth the shot. And if we say no, that's a huge Dbag move to make and likely something that other players will hear about and remember.

I'm not sure the lists people will make will hold much water. Considering we don't really know what has been his decision or not, except for a few choices during the games. I'll take a shot though. Wrong - Surrounding himself with losers. Literally - MB and Etch aren't winners and picking them (assuming he did) and now keeping one (assuming it was his choice) have been huge mistakes. Right - I like what he has shown in the last couple of weeks. His ST scheme has been working much better. And I personally like the way he handles the media. I think he could have a bright future as a HC, in WPG? Maybe, but I think he will succeed in the future due to the fact players like playing for him.

Bucknor is starting. Thats weakness. Getting a legit canadian safety back could allieviate that problem. maybe thats what we are angling for.. We know Bucknor was exposed a lot this season. Waggoner and Newman or Morgan i assume are all potential Safety prospects while Jones I think is a Bucknor 2.0 I'd like to see an all Import secondary. None of the guys you listed (though still unproven) give me anything to hope for, except maybe Waggoner. I hope we sign another CND onlinemen this off season (don't know who is available) and hopefully a solid Dlinemen - Steele anyone? I know he wants to play here. We just need to get it done! Must not want to play here that bad since he signed an extension that'll keep him in Edmonton through 2017 about a week & a half ago. Really? Damn I didn't see that. Well I guess he's happy. I know for a fact he tried to get here but at the time Management wasn't having it, and to be fair his play at that time wasn't what it is today.

Just being a good team player, trying to stay positive. I wouldn't have expected anything less from one of our guys, especially Vega. Yeah I know. But it's like, come on man....everyone knows those are horrible, don't try to act like you like them. I laughed when I read his comments and I wanted to take him aside and explain that he would be better off not lecturing people who have been following this team for their entire lives who "we" are. exactly! There's people on the other Bomber forum thinking the same as me. It's actually very a likely theory on what happened. How does him being taken from our PR make us look bad? Yes he would have to want to go to MTL instead of waiting in WPG where he wasn't going to start, likely be listed as 3rd string for the start of TC. In MTL he has a very real chance of starting next year. And maybe even some game time this year. I don't see how that could be seen as a black mark on WPG. Unless someone just wants any and every excuse to see it that way. But what QB doesn't want a chance to play? And he wasn't going to get that here.

I don't know...that doesn't make sense to me. For two reasons. Huff has a winning season this year, why kick him out for a new coach??? Also, Dave D has pretty much said he is going to be in CGY for a while. And doesn't his wife have something good there as well? I can't see Dave D making a stink about not be a HC and suggesting he would go elsewhere if the move isn't made.

What have you done for me lately? and that is the problem with glenn. sure. hes been in the league for 15 years as a starter and backup, hence his numbers but nothing screams out at me as starter material.. backup? Yup. Nichols too seems backup worthy only but he still has a chance to improve.. glenn is on downswing and of course anyone whos a fan of the CFL can attest to glenns lack of interest and fire in the belly coupled with his love of 4th quarter INT or fumbles.. Not to mention his Brock Ralphesque love of contact and rattleability.. He's 28 already and been around the league for several years, just how much improvement do we really expect out of the guy? Considering this seasons statistics only Glenn has a better passer rating too, and considering the absolute **** show that the Riders are that means a lot. Old man Glenn on a massively dysfunctional team is better than Nichols. You are letting your massive bias against Kevin Glenn cloud your judgement here. Glenn has been a legit starter in the CFL many tmes, Nichols has never been able to do that and I don't see it ever happening either. He's played in parts of three seasons, so that's "several"? Having MB as your coordinator is not something that's likely going to lead to a lot of success. And if you hadn't noticed, the Bombers really can't be described as a powerhouse either. And your massive bias FOR Kevin Glenn clouds yours. Not for a while he hasn't. And we're not talking about the Glenn of years gone by because that's completely irrelevant. The only valid comparison is who they are right now and what they might be like moving forward. And as I see it you are talking about two guys who are both backups at this point. And what about Nichols time in Edmonton? They tried to give him starter reps a bunch there and kept moving on to raw rookies in favour of him. People don't like Glenn I get it, he's got his flaws, but he's a pretty good qb when there's no pressure to win where as Nichols is a pretty mediocre back up qb. no they didn't? Nichols lost the starting job due to injury. He beat out Reilly, but busted his leg. And reilly took over. They didn't move on to "raw rookies" at all.

I laughed the entire time Taman was there because I knew it would come to this. Only one Rider fan I personally knew agreed with me and though he was happy about the grey cup, knew that what Taman was doing was really going to cost them later...Not sure he ever thought it would be 2-13 in cost but I'm sure glad it is!

I get what you're saying Iso. And I think we would have seen Davis had Nichols not been traded for. I know, if Davis was good maybe we wouldn't have had to trade for Nichols. But we gave up nothing to get him and it's better to have experience then none. So I don't think it's a case of him not being good enough to move up the chart. I think it's a matter of experience right now. He doesn't have any. And unfortunately even brohm has shown more then him. So he sits where he sits. Next TC will be the real test for him.

If the board is going to interview Taman for GM, they ought to make sure he can work a calculator as part of the process. They also better reduce the seating to about 10,000 at IGF. Cause ain't no one going to that ****.

I knew it. There was one hit where I swear he hit the ground and was out cold. But popped back really quick and got up. I remember someone helping to make him stable. Too bad, hope he plays it smart and realizes there's more life after football.

Let's keep in mind that 2 years really isn't that long to be developed into a starting centre. Many others have taken longer.

That trade will be huge for cgy come playoff time. I don't know what anyone else thought, but some of those hits Cornish took vs edm sure made him look wobbly..

I don't hate KG, but this doesn't really change MTLs prospects for a playoff spot. Though, with AC calling the plays that may help a lot as himself and KG are the same in getting the ball out quick, don't get hit type of play.

I would guess that if he's asking for a lot he's probably found something worth keeping as a career....Soooo he can be choosy.
