I've been hard on Owen most of his career. I honestly think he's been overrated for most of it. Last nights catch though...WOW. What a beauty. Saying that, I still wouldn't want him. Even just to sign him as a free agent. The guy has been making far too many mistakes this year. K well maybe as a free agent signing...but it'd have to be for cheap.

Bucknor plays way too far off the receiver. I don't know if it's because he lacks speed or what but throwing under him is easy as pie. Somehow he still manages to get burned deep too so I really don't think much of him. Not sure why he is even on this team. Surely Walters could have done better by now. He does make a decent play every now and then. But I agree, especially as the field corner, it always seems like he's giving the REC too much respect. Get in their face damn it!!!!!

Yea but instead of a sharp edged weapon like a katana or ninja star that multifaceted guys like williams or owens are.. Ours is kind of like the weapon a brutish ogre carries a la big tree branch or club. While I get your point...Williams has done nothing this year on Special teams. And Owens fumbles the ball 1 out every 3 touches this year. Stu hasn't been given a great opportunity on Offence like the other two, But I'd want him over williams and owens this year.

I also thought it was a catch. But don't we have someone watching a lives stream of the game? I saw a few screen shots from the broadcast that showed it was clearly incomplete. Do we have anyone doing this? I always thought we did...but after friday I'm not sure how anyone could have missed that.

I'm watching Hockey now - will be fully vested when the season starts in less than two weeks. I agree it was a chincy call but the player was not on the line. Only issue I have with the call is the lateness of the flag. I agree with other posters here - the line judge watches the line from the sideline, and usually throws the flag right away. Only thing I can think of is he confirmed with the line judge from the other side first. i.e. he didn't want to throw a flag if a bomber receiver from the opposite end was on the line - thus negating the call. When the other sideline judge said no, he threw the flag. No different than the Sk too many men penalty in the G.C. a few years back. But here's how I see it, the bombers were playing the defending Grey Cup champs and now, with the loss of Collaros, the best team in the league. They hung with them all game, really fought it out. Those guys complaining about the Bombers O - hey that's a Rich Stubler Defense, and Rich knows Nichols very well. He made his adjustments and it took the bombers a while to figure out what to do. That's why they're the CHAMPS. Good on Wpg! I expected a blow out and instead was treated to a close game that had a heartbreak ending. If the bombers had played that way a few more times, it wouldn't have been a must win. It still wasn't IMO - B.C. will be slaughtered by the Eskimos today. Bombers still, have a good chance. They just gotta keep playing this way every week. If they do, they'll win their share of games. If they lay an egg last week, it's on THEM - not an official. You're allowed to be one yard back from the line. That's in the rule book. The pictures clearly show him half a yard back, in line with the tackles (who were aT least in line with Nichols). While I'm not convinced it's a conspiracy....it was 100% the wrong call.

how we can have such atrocious reffing at the biggest time of cfl exposure in a decade blows my mind... we look so bush. Even our instant replay guys cant get **** right! Our jumbotron guys have been horrible for a long long time. Horrible timing, both for when it's bad for the bombers and when it's good for the away team.

My buddy timed it....7 seconds after the whistle (end of play). That's how long it took to throw that flag. A flag that should have been thrown as soon as the ball was snapped.

That's why there's different levels of "talent" in the league. If you make those mistakes too often, you I'll be replaced. Also it's not a mistake if the refs actually screwed up...they are humans it happens. But you can't put that on the players. And from all the evidence including the rule book....all signs are pointing to the refs ******* up.

I have a picture of the play and it sure looks like the tackles are just as far back as Adams. They are definitely behind Nichols.

He won a grey cup with a team Buono built. Once he had a few years as the head coach things started to fall apart, granted there were some injuries etc. But I don't think Benevidez will be a head coach again any time soon.
