  1. I'm not sure. I just think it's a bit early to write off the 2025 roster lol
  2. 5 yrs is a life time. Especially when you're a shifty type of player. Does he still have that speed? Look at how 4 yrs impacted Lucky. Say what you want about him, but it was clear last year he had lost a step/his burst.
  3. I would have liked to see Garbutt in TC and let the best player win the spot. But not too disappointed by him leaving either.
  4. Love it!! Now get Kenny!!! https://youtu.be/-t0QnwYYAQs?si=8Y07vqzP_58vByni
  5. dont forget Reddit ICQ was my first go to
  6. 13yr olds? maybe 10 yrs ago. Mostly 30+ now
  7. Which ones weren't in their prime?
  8. Bryant, Nuef, Gray, Hardrick, Nichols, Holms, Rose, Jefferson, Jeffcoat, Alexander, Biggie, Kramdi (debatable about impact i guess), Wolly, Schoen. The guys you have listed there. Janarion was essentially let go a mistake no doubt, but he didn't take another offer over the bombers. Bombers just didn't offer. Richardson was kind of the same. Walters knew what it would take to keep him and he chose (wrongly again) not to compete. Sayles is overrated imo and is much like Houston. Chunghs replacement was in house already. So that leaves Lawler who came back and admitted he should have never left and Couture.
  9. lets just blame Obama and call it even
  10. If I'm not mistaken, Schoen said that his late signing last year was waiting to see what teams would pay him ABOVE what the bombers had offered. No one came to the table with an offer than blew him away so he came back. Not sure why that would be different this year as I don't see anyone ponying up huge amounts for him after last year.
  11. I don't understand this rumour that Schoen isn't a deep ball threat? lol. WTF have you people been watching? He's made some unbelievable plays on underthrown/challenged deep balls. He's also taken 20 yard catches to the house. He's a threat to score from anywhere on the field. This is not to take anything away from Lawler, who is obviously one of the best. Both will be back.
  12. Thought the Redblacks picked him up. But I'm not sure he every dressed
  13. This math doesn't math....unless the elks just aren't going to replace him.
  14. I believe Walters has stated a few times that he has an amount allocated to each positional group. So I'm not sure the savings on WR would then transfer to DT or vice versa...not saying it's impossible. I just don't think that's how they work it. And if we're going off that, Wollys $$ will be spent on WR.
  15. I have direct knowledge of this
  16. I remember hearing he was considering retirement after the last GC win. So maybe he just hangs em up. I can kind of see the reasoning behind this. But it also must mean they're targeting a cnd on Offense via FA right?
  17. Why would the NFL compensate the CFL? Honestly....why would they?
  18. Bighill signing here after coming back from the NFL was nothing short of HUGE! He's been nothing but an amazing leader on and off the field. His involvement in amateur football makes waves with kids everytime he's around. I can't thank that guy enough for his play. And his influence off the field will be felt for a long long time. Whether he realizes it or not. "That's Adam Bighill" heard weekly at U of W by children being introduced to the sport. The guy is a legend.
  19. The 2nd half of the TO game near the end of the season was maybe the best adjustments Buck made in his time here. They came out in the 3rd and marched the ball down the field with quick passes and runs. That's what got them back into that game and I'm completely baffled they went away from that in the GC.
  20. for sure. At the time though, I don't think anyone thought paying those guys was something they needed to do. Could they use them now...absolutely, but no one can see the future.
