I've lost all hope in Willys ability to make the quick decisions needed to be a productive starting QB in this league. His confidence has been shattered and I can't help but think that he is suffering some effects related to concussions. He just reminds me of Pierce near the end of his career. Dazed and confused. When he has the ball he just seems to either not be processing quick enough or he is second guessing way too often.

Daniels has not impressed much either, but I worry about not having that big physical receiver who could potentially go for that jump ball. The problem for me is that Smith, Dressler and Denmark are very much the same type of receiver. Speedy, shifty, smallish, but amazing hands. The Bombers seem to be missing the Matthews/Arceneaux type of guy.

Now given the Big Blues glorious fortunes as of late maybe this would be a good time to discuss potential upcoming problems....albeit good problems... The club does not suit up for another 14 days and there will a number of players returning...who comes back in the line up, who is out, who stays in and who is out the door? Is it also maybe time to look at cutting bait with our two DL draft picks bouncing around from one nfl team to another? Maybe certain teams up against the cap and not having particular good years (hello Sask and Mtl) would be possible trade partners. It might be a good opportunity to further strengthen the depth of this roster.

Matthews would definitely be my number choice. He would complete this receiving corp and make them scary. I doubt that he gets cut from the Ravens though. If he did I'm sure he'd be snatched up by another NFL team. I wonder if Darren Cameron still keeps in touch with him?

I would think that there is a good possibility that he may not make the Vikes...I just wonder if the Bombers would make a serious pitch for the guy at this point. I guess it depends on what the injury situation is at that point. I could totally see the club sticking with Dressler, Smith, Denmark, Kolhert, and Mayo/Adams. Not sure who he'd replace. McDuffie as DI?

Any ex CFL guys trying out down south that would be worth keeping an eye on? There are always some guys on the bubble that are cut loose that could make that little bit of a difference. Eric Rogers would have been a nice add. Too bad about his ACL.

Before I "like this" ...is he not locked in for one more year?

Is Joe Fuller trying out for an NFL team? I thought he was pretty good for the Stamps last year

Do we have anyone on our neg list that we can even hope to be excited to possibly sign one day? Grasping as straws in desperation to not totally lose all hope in this team. I'll take any type of rumours to cling to.

Willy seems to have that Buck Pierce deer in the headlights gaze. It could be argued that perhaps it's a bit of PTSD....he's just too hesitant on each and every play regardless of how much pressure is coming. There seems to be that he has zero confidence or perhaps the synapses just aren't firing fast enough. He no longer displays the "quick kill" instinct he once had when he first came into the league. Nichols is a just plain and simple a bandaid solution that is just going to delay the progress of the two fresh and hungry guys on the depth chart. Both Davis and Bennett are our the only hope we have. There has been not even a whisper of any type of potential saviour-like QB's on our neg list to even wish for. I see this situation getting worse before it gets better unfortunately. We aren't even close to a rebuild yet.

I tend to see it as the Riders are the ones "holding out" by low balling him. They should be paying him a first-overall salary. Sounds like they set the tone

I'm very disappointed that Knox isn't practicing. I had really thought that he was going to be a great addition to the defence. Too bad. Hopefully he heals up soon and can at least get into a preseason game.

Is Demski a FA this Feb or next?

A better question is...Where is The Muamba Mambo tour at? We should have a gps map allowing us to follow his next North American tour.

Does anyone know the contract status of Coombs and Demski? I believe they are both FA next year. Could the Bombers consider going after either of these guys? With Harris here there is probably less need for him, but Demski would be a nice versatile guy to have and would be a nice promotional 1-2 punch with Harris.

So which two are going to get the axe? Bombers are 2 over if I'm not mistaken.

saw the Turner move coming but I am feeling a bit uneasy about letting Denmark go. Getting Dressler and Smith filled holes we already had at receiver. Now we have one again. I curious who they figure will be our starters.

I wonder if Denmark has any trade value? Riders could use receivers. 4th or 5th round pick?
