Not a huge fan of having Collaros as the Bombers QB, but for the life of me, I can’t think of a better realistic solution. Status quo and the club will be lucky to win another game this season. Having said that I truly believe the problem is play calling on both sides of the ball, but that’s very unlikely to change. The offense is very one dimensional. Whom ever called the last game on defense should continue calling the plays. The front 7 looked way more aggressive.

Can’t help but wonder why this guy dropped off this badly. He was very talented and has all the tools to be a dominant receiver in this league with the exception of the one that is key...heart. It’s just not there this year. He said all the right things after he was signed, but just couldn’t/wouldn’t walk the walk. Shame.

What is the likelihood of the Bombers trading for a deep threat receiver before the deadline?

Duke Williams would be really nice too. I suppose it would be asking a lot for 2 receivers. Maybe Williams and Zylstra? Would the Bombers be one of the teams with the most cap space considering Nichols six gamed and Mathews released?

Ricky Ray would do great with job with this online and the offensive weapons at his disposal. Contract would be for half a season.

It’s a bit of an interesting scenario. Nichols is a better overall qb right now, but given his age and injury history you have to think he is close to peeking if he hasn’t already. Strevlor s the best of the back ups hands down...actually he’s better than half the starters in the CFL. He has a ways to go to become as complete as Nichols, but he has a lot of the intangibles that can perhaps help him surpass Nichols in a couple years. The debate can also be made with regards to O’shea and Lapolice. Which of the two will benefit the team long term? If the club wins the Grey Cup I would be more inclined to perhaps trade Nichols and maybe let O’Shea go to Toronto. Nichols and O’Shea could possibly save the Argos. Strevlor would continue to grow under Lapolice’s tutelage, and would give Laoplice a multitude of ways to be used. Again I would only give any consideration to this idea if the Bombers were successful winning the Cup this November. Just my opinion as not only a Bomber fan but a fan of the CFL.

I was hoping to see Janarion Grant in for Walker. Probably because I forgot who Mike Jones is. Was he in training camp? I don’t recall him standing out.

Lawler replaced Matthews against Toronto as Matthews was injured in the game against Ottawa (injury #2). Lawler had one catch for 38 yard against Toronto. Matthews was then a heath scratch for the second Ottawa game. Tell me what am I missing.

Just for clarification...Matthews is a health scratch because his replacement(Lawler) is playing well the previous game(s)?

Fair enough. It has been a small sample size. I guess I’m just saying the combo of his bad luck regarding his injuries, underwhelming game two and 3(which I believe was out the second half) and the incident at LaRocha is a bit surprising to me. There’s a ton of time for him to turn it around and I hope he does. Even if he doesn’t...the team seems to be well stocked to keep winning without beat.

Lol. If there’s no concern by anyone why would Wyman even mention it in his tweet. I’m just surprised how his season has started out. Did not see it coming. Including the incident the other day. Freaking out is a bit of a stretch. With or without Matthews the club looks to be well on their way to playing in the cup. I believe your missing point. It’s more like disappointment or shock that one of our biggest free agent signings is going to be a healthy scratch for the second game in a row and has done squat since returning to the Bombers including exhibition. Nobody expected him to pull a Bowman. At least Bowman made it into some games. I’m a huge Matthews fan especially since his press conference after signing, so yeah it’s a bit surprising. It’s not a concern with regards to the team in anyway.
