I can see them throwing a lot of money around this year. I'm going to bet they make a big play for the Grey Cup this year big time since it's going to be here and they end up spending some serious cash and pushing very hard to do so. So I wouldn't be surprised to see some really good players end up on our roster. Just my speculation.

Plus Lewis puts on more weight every year. Next season he ought to scale out about the same as a Ford F150. Pretty sure the suggestion to sign Nic Lewis was as an offensive lineman. LOL. If we're talking anyone up for grabs, I would add: QB: Brohm OL: Heenan WR: Tasker, Grant, Miles, Carter RB: Walter, not sure I'd take Steele, but Sutton looks good. Haven't had a chance to look at the defense yet. I see Cotton and Sutton as both similar back. I like a combo smallish and bigger RB. Cotton stands as 5.08 while Steele is 6.00. Cotton gets the big yard runs while Steele (or a bigger back) gets the short hard yards. Yeah that's true, I wasn't thinking that. A good combo would be something like Cotton with another big back like Steele punching through the defense.

As much as I don't like Etch's defense, I think Marcel's offense is worse. If I had to get rid of one over the other, it would be Marcel.

No one is saying Goltz was a good QB, we said he's a great short yardage guy and great and running it in, in the red zone. No one on here is saying he could throw the ball.

And yet, Dave -- of ALL PEOPLE -- has been able to come around on the idea of it. He was one of the most vocal about not wanting Etch here in the first place, but was able to see that the defense really wasn't the problem this year. If Dave can change his mind about something, anyone can.....even curmudgeonly old Iso Al.... That's because I am an open minded individual who bases his opinions on evidence and logic. This exactly. Great short yardage guy. The fact that no defense seemed to stop him when he came out to do short yardage for us astounds me. I mean...look, Goltz is out there, they're obviously going for short yardage, yet he pulls it off and then some. Just because he can't throw worth anything.

Why not? He's one of the best short yardage QB's I've seen. If you've got a good starter, then having Goltz on your team to do short yardage is a no brainer.
