I blame the House of Duras for causing Worf, son of Mogh to get into trouble. In my eyes Jacquie....you just won the Internet.

We definitely need a change at OC, but no LaPo. Should find another (reduced) role next year for Buck Pierce too, IMHO. I just can't see what he's bringing to the O. Running backs coach? Really? I don't understand this love for Pierce? What makes anyone think, in his banged up brain damaged head, that he would be even remotely good at OC? Edit: Sorry, misread your post. Thought you were saying Buck should be the OC.

Bombers add Cam Marshall and Deantre Harlan to PR
Logan007 replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Half of this video was people cheering or highfiving. He seems a little slow as far as his speed. That being said, he's looks like a good "smash through walls" type of back, and he slips away from the D pretty good too. He looks like he either finds the holes, or makes his own. I'd take him for his smashing ability regardless of him not being that fast. -
K.. Fine fine.. He was an Exceptional Above Average QB... That's all I'm saying.

Last month I pulled in the Bomber lot in the morning to go to the store and thought I could get used to doing this every day. I was just thinking the same thing. Except that I didn't pull into the Bomber lot last month... ...I was across the road "watching" you.

Ahem, as I said, looks better smaller: -
Brohm has a broken thumb; Willy to start

One of the things this site could use - an FAQ section. Mine would be about how to put the gifs in the posts. There are so many facepalms needed right now. A facepalm parade. It's not too late to act. Won't somebody please think of the children? It's not a GIF, but does this work for you? It actually looks better smaller. You can see Captain Picard facepalming himself better. -
Brohm has a broken thumb; Willy to start

I'd hold onto Marve as long as we can. Until they can replace him or Brohm with something just as good or better, I wouldn't give either of them up. I like Brown, but you don't start handing over good QB's when we finally just got a decent crew. -
This is the same guy, in his rookie season, that threw for 661 yards in one game. He also won his last Grey Cup when he was 41 with the Argo's. He threw for over 5000 yards in a season when he was 42, and threw 33 TD passes. He broke 1000 yards rushing in his last season with Ottawa. He broke 700 yards rushing 8 of his 23 years playing. And it looks like he was the first string QB 20 of those 23 years as being a QB. For a guy you're deeming as average, he sure broke quite a few records. No, he wasn't the greatest QB, but he certainly wasn't just average. I'd say he did pretty well for himself.

Brohm has a broken thumb; Willy to start

Typical knee jerk reaction. Marve did well in half a football game therefore Willy should sit. -
Yes he looked much better than Grigsby ever has here. I hope his play continues he was very promising in TC but did squat in the regular season up until last night. Nice to see I explained it to you many many times, you actually have to give a running back a chance to see what he can do. Cotton won the job outright in training camp, but got hurt and Grigsby had 2 good games to start the year so they didn't make a change, but Cotton was always the better runner because he was better able to slip through small holes and pick up positive yards. It was never about how many rushing yards each got, it was about one back being a ***** and the other actually being able to get positive yards from some bad situations. They actually gave him a proper chance against Calgary and he had a similar yards per carry as he did in the preseason. Least surprised guy about that is me. Now now. Careful now. Only Mike is allowed to make predictions that come true. Mike, why isn't your sig "CALLED IT!"?

I blame Worf, son of Mogh. That guy is ALWAYS causing trouble.

And how are we going to protect Brink, Elliott and Goltz in the upcoming expansion draft? It's an embarrassment of riches!!! Umm, Eliott is with Ottawa now, and Brink is with Montreal...HELLO! We only have to protect Goltz. Geez yer so dum sometimes.

I'm surprised none of you mentioned Friday Night Lights on Netflix. Other then season 2, I thought it was a great series. Community was great for the first few seasons, now it just seems like it's turning to crap. Loved How I Met Your Mother...until the last season, specifically the last episode...total let down. Star Trek the Next Generation on Netflix WOOOOO YEAH!!!.....................................*looks around*........*crickets chirping*.....................Well I rewatched it so nyah! Orange is the New Black is too weird for me. Watched a few episodes, they were good...but it was just too weird. What I watch now on TV is a combo of what I like and what my wife likes: - The Flash - Gotham - Scorpion - Once Upon a Time - The Big Bang Theory - Blackish (this is a surprisingly funny show) - Marvel's Agents of Shield - Modern Family - Brooklyn Nine Nine - Bob's Burgers - Star Wars Rebels (watch this with the kids) I think that's it. Which seems like a lot, but it sometimes takes us a couple of weeks just to get through 1 week. Keeps us going over the weeks where there are reruns.

Gary Etcheverry prediction came true!
Logan007 replied to Pitthead's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Too bad he wasn't gone last night. I don't think O'Shea will get rid of him until he's got a replacement ready sign and take over. -
MPI gives me far better rates than the company that I work for (that sells auto insurance in the US). Not sure where this myth comes from. Because my friend that lives in Wisconsin told me his rates that he pays for his car and his motorcycle. It's no myth.

I'll be waiting outside the store with my gold pellet paint ball gun.

The Free Press noted that Brohm has moxie, so that makes things interesting. Do you put more stock in moxie or the "it" factor? I remember back in the old days when almost everybody thought Willy had both moxie and the "it" factor. Willy had the disadvantage of having to go back out and prove it week after week though. It's harder to deify a qb that way. PL, you're daydreaming or something if you think Willy doesn't have the "it" factor. Let's look back to the time that Willy came out and replaced Durant in 2012 only to kick our asses throwing for 188 yards and a TD strike. I bet everyone thought he had the "it" factor back then. Some of you guys are just out in the clouds when you've only seen these guys play 1 half of a football game.

Willy was better at the beginning, when he didn't have the fear of the opposing D going for his throat every time he hiked the ball. As time went on he lost some of his quickness, I think, because of not wanting to get hit so much. When you lose confidence in your offensive line, it causes breakdowns in the QB play. But I agree with you, Brohm, Marve as well as Cotton, made the Oline look a lot better then it did. Calgary's D was on our QB's just as fast as they usually were.
-
Cotton played behind an oline like we had the first games of the year where Grigsby ran for 120 yards. In last week's game where Cotton played behind the same line Grigsby had been he did just as little. Cotton did have a very good game but surely you will admit the line was totally different than it had been since the beginning of September. Actually, no, I don't have to admit that. The pressure the D had on our QB was just as bad as usual, we just had Brohm who was getting rid of the football faster, and Marve who was running away from the pressure, which tells me our Oline was not doing much better then usual. I think Cotton is just getting his groove back finally now that he's getting reps and starting to read the defense better. You're right, it is just one game, but I think if they keep giving Cotton the ball, he'll really show when he can do. Also, the first game we played was against Toronto when they were at their worst. That's when Grigsby ran all over them. This was against one of the best teams in the league, who just came off fresh from a buy week.
-
I just hope his knees can hold up with all the running he's doing.
-
Eat that doubters. See what happens when you give your RB more then 10 carries and he actually knows how to run through holes? 14 attempts for 108 yards and 2 TD against one of the best teams (if not the best) in the league. Grigsby was a fantastic receiver, but he would hesitate when those holes were opened for him. Cotton see's the hole, no matter how small, and runs straight through it. Loving me some Cotton again.
-
I hate you for being in Banff...because, you know...no fair! But I agree with you, limited reps, how can anyone say he's better then Willy or think he's good enough to trade?!?!!? He only completed half of his passes for 64 yards. But he ran for 36...and didn't slide, which can become his undoing if he doesn't protect himself when he runs. He did however complete some pretty swanky passes, and he didn't really have our best receivers in the lineup. So I'll give him that.

Wow, someone interested in our QB's for once. That would be the first time since Danny Mac.
