  1. Thanks, I am pretty fast. Anyway, gotta go limber up....and STREEEEEETCH....
  2. Yes, this exactly. Reading all these comments about "it was quite in there, how could he not hear"...O'Shea said there was technical difficulties. Willy couldn't hear what MB was saying because of the helmet radio.
  3. 1) How did that play affect the outcome of the game? 2) I bet if it had been a Bomber receiver, people would be saying it was the correct call. Even Irving and Currier thought the correct call was made. Because it gave them a first down when they should have kicked it away. It kept their drive alive when it could have been our chance for another crack at some points before the half. Then on our TD, we may not have needed to go for the 2 points, and instead of having to make the TD on the last drive we could have just went for 3. It's all speculation on my part, but any of those 3 bad calls could have turned things around for us. I didn't even mention the bad clock management that froze our offense right as we were skipping along on that last drive.
  4. Dude, you and Kpt and everyone else blaming Willy are letting your emotions cloud your judgement. You're just looking for someone to blame for the loss and you're putting it on Willy. Had he scored the TD at the end you'd have forgotten any other mistakes he made today and be heralding him as the savior. But instead you're taking the last plays of the game, which were butchered by the refs constant stopping of the game while they had momentum, and feeding off of that. I have not once seen you complain that it was Lirim's, or Wild's fault for losing the game because of that botched punt attempt. Have you not noticed that we're not the only team in the league that is low scoring for the last few weeks? Something is going wonky or the defenses are just overpowering the offenses. You're blaming Willy as if he should be throwing for 400 yards and going 30 for 30 in attempts. He's a rookie QB and he's barely getting time to throw. Wanna know why he's throwing for over 300 yards? Cause he's a pretty damn good rookie QB! Go eat your Collaros or Burris cornflakes...cause it's too bad we didn't get them right?
  5. I know why we lost. There weren't enough GIF's in today's GIF day thread.
  6. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers Call his own play. You got it You guys act like this is the NFL where the QB has 40 seconds to react if he doesn't get the play call in. The coach tells him that MB makes the play calls, not him, and if MB isn't sending in the play call or they're having technical difficulties, the QB doesn't have time to go...oh screw it, I'll just call a play and then have time to tell his team what the play is. He's either got to be given the OK to call his own play, or be told he has to wait for the OC to call it. This is a rookie starting QB here. This isn't Ray at the helm who's been doing this for 10 years. Geez you guys, think about what you're saying.
  7. There were 3 bad calls that I saw that could have made this game at least possibly winnable. 1) The skipped ball that was caught by Hamilton. It's not the fact that they didn't have TSN feed, it's the fact that you're all watching the ball yet none of you saw it hit the field first. 2) The caught ball that was fumbled which could have been run back for a touchdown. 3) The roughing the kicker called where he barely touched the kicker yet he fell down as if he was tackled by a 300 pound DL. Not only that, but he was bumped into him.
  8. The Bombers gonna bring on, the Willymania
  9. OOOOHHH nice. Love to see Sask lose. Unlike a lot of people here, I actually like Edmonton, so I'm happy.
  10. Parks and Rec is to me a show that's a lot like Arrested Development in that the cast looks pretty good but the show I just don't find funny. Yes exactly. I wanted to like Arrested Development and couldn't even finish one episode. I got through one episode of Parks, and tried bits and pieces here and there but it just underwhelmed me.
  11. I wish I could find that Miller/Lovitz/Hooks/Carvey/Myers/Hartman/Sandler/Farley on video. I found a few skits but I'd love to rewatch that whole era. Oh, and if you've never seen it, google audition tapes for Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and a few others. It's pretty funny/weird to watch them stand their auditioning and no one is laughing on the video...except you of course and sometimes who they're auditioning for. Speaking of Pratt, I'm not a huge fan. I find him ok, but I don't know how he's as big of a star as he is. I liked Guardians of the Galaxy and he did really well voicing Emmett in the Lego Movie, but outside of that I never hugely liked what he's been in. Tried watching Parks, but I just found it boring. On that note, "YOU'RE THE DEVIL!"
  12. Not all of us are that old, cut us some slack. Ah, it has nothing to do with age. I had to watch them on Best of SNL to see their skits. They're just classic comedic actresses.
  13. Come on...Gilda Radner and Jane Curtin. Nobody beats them in SNL for the ladies.
  14. Aw come on...at least put some effort into it man. Apparently the Bombers rarely play with a limp Willy You can't keep the Bomber's Willy down (see, a little adjustment makes it sound much better) The Bomber's have a tough Willy, he just keeps going and going and going... The opposing teams keep trying to beat the Bomber's Willy..... ...ahem...anyway.
  15. Signing him to be our backup would've been nice.Crompton had the misfortune to be in Edmonton when the circus was at Commonwealth, much like Elliott was here in Winnipeg last year, so in both cases, their real value was unknown.I'm just nitpicking, but Elliott wasn't here last year. It was the year before.I stand (sitting actually- its hard to type while standing up) corrected. Not if you have one of these: Is that you in the picture? You're a little more "feminine" than I pictured you. I wish. I could use a frapaccino right about now. Plus....I'd have my own boobs. Oh you have your own boobs.. Don't lie.. They just called moobies.. I wish. But I'm skinny.
  16. It's ok ISO. Floyd's sense of humor is as dry as sandpaper.
  17. Completely off-topic (obviously) but Andy Samberg's impression of Nick Cage is probably the best thing to come out of SNL over the past 10-15 years! Not to derail the thread but this is massively false... Exactly. Nothing good has come out of SNL in the past 10-15 years. speaking of things that are massively false.... This past season sucked hard, but prior to that the cast was pretty ******* good and did a lot of really funny sketches. Said no one ever. Really!?! I dunno, I never watch it. Best seasons for me was when Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Mike Myers, etc... were on the show. I never got to watch the original cast or the Eddie Murphy era, but I watched clips and those were good too. Everything after the Phil, Dana, Mike, era was just crap with few skits here and there that were funny. Like the More Cowbell one.

  19. Fine then... Nothing THE BEST has come out of SNL in the past 10-15 years. THERE HAPPY!?!?!

  23. Nothing unusual there as head coaches often pick their own staffs. I know, but Brice is stating that if Etch is still here next year, the blame should fall on Walters shoulders. Which is incorrect. Etch is O'Sheas call but what options did he have, apart from retreads even worse than Etch? Its Walters responsibility to steward the "vision" of the club, thereby attracting quality people. Right now we look like a young, athletic team with a lousy defense against the run and no o-line. Pass the buck or not, its still on Walters watch. I thought we passed (on) the Buck last year. Unfortunately the Buck bounced back...in another form mind you.
  24. It also has to do with who is available at the Defensive Coordinator spot, not just who's willing to come here.
