What I find hilarious about this, is that if we don't get Burris, Lawless will be bashing Walters down the line for not spending the money and going after him. Don't forget to mention that lawless is also fat and bald. You're statement is speculation with no basis in fact. Gary didn't bash Walters for not landing collaros. In fact he defended him. Yes it is speculation. You're just a wizkid aren't you?

I think Burris is holding out because he wants a 3 year deal and Bombers only want to sign him for 2. Someone tweeted that last week. Not sure which guy and I'm not about to route through all their tweets to find it, but I think that's what's holding him back. But who knows really.

I agree with the article from Lawless. But I guarantee if they followed his plan and they ended up having another bad year, Lawless (any many of us) would be blaming the Bombers for not going after Burris harder.

I think it's more because he knows this is probably his last stop and he's trying to suck out as much money as he can before he retires.

And this is why I would give Goltz another chance, at least bring him into TC. When you have 3 different QB's who dumped on Burke/Crowton and being disgruntled and apparently bad attitudes.... it's a little bit to much coincidence. Boltus needed to be cut because quite frankly whats the point of having a 3rd string qb if he can't even do a basic sneak? If you wern't going to play Levi then why not at least sign McPherson just to help close out the season.... I agree. Goltz got a raw deal. No on ever properly trained him, and then he was thrown into being a starter. Then when he didn't do well, all he was told by Burke is how bad he played. And I don't think he was so much a prima doña as he was trying to inject some life into this Bomber team by showing some attitude. And then he was punished for it by our amazing HC. I'm not saying Goltz would ever become a great QB, but I think with someone training him he could have done better then he did.

No offense, but I seem to recall a lot of people saying that Collaros in the Peg was automatic and now this fanbase makes it sound/seem as though Burris and Willy were the plan the whole time and suddenly it's a better situation. Sounds more like opinions changed because we couldn't take the cheerleader to the prom, so now acting as though taking the audio video geek was our first choice all along. I don't think anyone said it was automatic. People didn't think anyone else wanted or needed him. We were wrong. Big surprise. Stop twisting what people are saying. Also, I don't see anyone on here that thought Burris and Willy were the Bombers plan all along. Most of us thought they wanted Collaros. Some, like Mr. P said he wanted Willy and Burris, but most of us thought they were going to go after Collaros. He's gone now...we're moving on. What do you want us to do, continue to whine and ***** that we didn't get him and hold on to the past? No, we've let it go and now we're looking at who we want second since someone else won out on Collaros. Now we'd like to get Burris and Willy. Hopefully we at least get Burris. But you never know. If plan A doesn't work, you modify your goals and hope for plan B.

I understand and agree with both points, my point was pretty simple I would think, Goltz didn't deserve to see the field, he was atrocious out there, he could run.............. that's about it. Leaving Boltus out there was a stupid mistake though, especially in short yardage situations. Right, but our point was just that, we were stuck with both of them, Goltz should have been used. I still think he's the best short yardage guy out there right now. Should bring him in as a short yardage/RB and mix up what he does.

Boltus *shudder* i realllllly hope that experiment has run its course.. Im nervous that with marcel back.... It hasnt. It really would be nice to know WHO decided and why they gave Boltus play time while Goltz sat on the bench..... I'd feel at least slightly relieved if it was revealed that Burke insisted on playing him rather then MB.... Let's not pretend that Goltz played well at all, or that he even deserved another shot. Aside from Boltus being horrendous, there was no other logical reason for Goltz to ever see the field again. Yeah you're right. Goltz, being able to run the ball and actually make a few plays by throwing, was just as equally bad as Boltus, who couldn't even hold onto the ball after the snap.
