I'd take him as a QB coach any day. Although if he's turning down an OC job, I doubt he'd want to come here to be a QB coach, unless he wants to start off small and work his way up rather then being thrown into the big shoes and have a chance of failing right off the bat.

I don't know if I'd say Flutie was the best, but he was the craziest SOB I've ever seen play. That dude could pull a rabbit out of his ass if he wanted to. He made plays when there was no play to make. It was incredible to watch him.

I don't see Hank taking a back-up role, and it's time to give Collaros a shot at starting, especially if we give him starter money to come over here. Exactly. Hank won't take a backup role until he starts going downhill. And after this years Grey Cup appearance, I don't see that happening. Someone will want him to start somewhere. And Collaros won't take a backup role either from what I can tell. If he's trying out for the NFL he obviously thinks he's ready for the main event.

Umm...yes. I can have all the unrealistic expectations in the world, but all that is going to do is disappoint me when they're not met. There's no point in setting yourself up for disappointment when you don't have all the variables. Once I know that then I can start to formulate what I expect out of the team. I can't say "I expect them to make it to the grey cup" then they go and hire some terrible DC and before the season even starts I'm going to feel as though we're already defeated. So, yes, who we sign as our DC and the rest of the coaching staff as well as who will actually be on our team, will change what I am expecting out of our team this year. If you hire a crap DC like Creehan, you can expect to make it to the cup all you want, but you're going to be pissed at the outcome.

It's easy to make reasonable assumptions. Most of our coaching staff is set. We will have one of Collaros, Willy or Burris at QB. Likely sign a few free agents and bring in some new bodies from down south to compete. Looks like everyone wants to be difficult here so feel free to lock this thread. We have like, 4 coaches signed. How is that "most of our coaching staff"? We have no DC, not QBC, no OLC, no assistant's. Hard to come even close to saying what our expectations are right now.

Kind of like Tim Burke's defense of the last two years? I'm sure opposing teams were shaking in their boots. Let's be honest with each other, there is a lot more than the coach that goes into how a defense performs. I'm thinking if we are going to make any noise this year, it is going to be because Mr. Walters finds us a couple nice free agents. Overall, the players are going to make more of a difference than the coach. Just my opinion. Again...Tim Burke sucks as a motivator. He had Coach Harris helping him out before that. Notice after he died the defense started sucking?
