  1. BS. Granted he brought in a couple of semi decent receivers, but the rest so far haven't shown me diddly so far, including a dud QB, a gimped NI OLman...and was he responsible for our crappy kicker or was that Mack. I can't remember. I don't know why you guys are harping on Robyn and IC Khari. They're just stating that we won't know what kind of GM he'll be until August, and that's the truth. You guys were the same ones that said there was nothing wrong with Mack and that all the Mack hate wasn't justified earlier this year, and the same ones who said "oh you can't say Burke is bad when he took over in the middle of the year like he did blah blah" back in 2012. As if any of you know what this guy is going to be like any more then we do. We all like him so far and what he's saying, and hope he's good. But no one knows if he's going to **** it up or make us into a winning team just yet. Geez, stop crucifying people here and acting like they said "this guy was utter **** and OMGZORZ HE'S THE AWFUL!!!111!ONE!!!!"
  2. Except it's suppose to make fun of him, not make him look like a superstar. Like...Sackedhardi Jones...or Suckedhardi Jones....or something less stupid then those two suggestions.
  3. This...so TOTALLY this....LOL. I've seen this posted before, but reading your comment then looking at it almost made me spit out my oatmeal.
  4. Yeah, you know what. That's the same thing that was said by a few posters here about Burke last year. "Oh well...he came in a bad spot taking over mid-season". I've heard it before and I hope they don't hire him. Anyone who would keep Boltus in the lineup over Goltz is a complete idiot. I don't care what kind of ego Goltz had, at least he could run and pass the ball SOMETIMES instead of just fumbling it and jumping on it after the snap.
  5. Remember though, O'shea will have an input on D also. He might put some wrinkles on Stubler's D that the latter haven't thought before. Same goes for the ST. Isn't that what Burke should have had with our defense? And yet, lo and behold, our defense still sucked this year. I mean...he wasn't doing anything else right? He should have had plenty of time to help out Creehan. FYI I'm not comparing O'Shea to Burke...just more making fun of Burke.
  6. Really???? Lol dumbest post of the year here! The internet is now black magic? Who reads actual newspapers anymore I thought everyone reads the web versions now? I actually thought it was one of the better posts of the year.... It was meant in jest, and I found it quite hilarious! Exactly. Hence my interwebz remark. I liked it. And I actually did "Like it" by clicking the little button off to the side with the check mark thing beside it. It's the little blue box...well I mean there's a few little blue boxes, but this one actually has a check mark in it...like the ones we use to get from our teachers in school when we did well. Right...and beside this check box it says "Like This"...except without the quotations. I used the quotations to signify that that is what it says INSIDE the box and so you wouldn't think I was just saying Like This in my sentence and not getting my point. ...*cough*... I actually did just cough...I have a bit of a cold. You'll all be happy to know though that it's almost gone, thanks for asking.
  7. I think he's talking about this new thing the kids are calling the "interwebz" or something like that.
  8. According to wikipedia: "Cahoon spent part of his childhood in Southern Alberta and is therefore considered a non-import under the CFL's import/non-import ratio rule.[5] " So he probably lived in Alberta for 7 years before turning 15 since they said "childhood" and not teenage years.
  9. No. He's not. He played high school football in Brampton and spent enough time in Canada as a kid to be considered a non-import, but he STARTED his high school football playing days in Florida, which makes him ineligible for NI status. Oh sorry, my bad. I thought College had some part in non-import status for US citizens. "A player who was physically resident in Canada for an aggregate of 7 years prior to turning 15 or if he’s a Canadian Citizen, was physically resident in Canada for an aggregate period of 5 years prior to turning 18
  10. Hey, I'm just saying. That's the only thing that would keep him out of Winnipeg. Gives him at least some leverage on the bargaining table.
  11. Umm...what? You mean a non-import in the NFL? Considering he was born in Brooklyn, NY and went to Rutgers.
  12. He is if he ends up wanting to move back to his hometown and play for Saskatchewan.
  13. Oh, sorry. When you said that it sounded like you meant that the most notable player in Winnipeg at the 91 GC was saying that. I see what you meant now.
  14. Really Don Matthews? Can't believe anyone would even say that.... I think I see what Spuds is saying. Ya, undeniably a great coach when you look at his record overall, but at some point he just wasn't the same as he used to be.A '67 Camaro is a sweet ******* car til the engine blows and the wheels fall off. yes, thank you! higgins and mathews in their prime were two of the best, no doubt.. some coaches are unable tho to change their game plans for the changes to the game (mike kelly for one, lol) i think both guys just couldnt adapt their concepts and ideas to work in the "new" cfl.. yea i know its all cycles and blah blah but I really think Higgins wouldnt have been a solution to our problems.. Seriously? It's people like you that would have kicked out Ritchie because the last season in his long line of winning was just under par. OMG HE HAD ONE SEASON THAT SUCKED GET RID OF HIM!!!!!111ONE!!! Don is 74 and is dealing with Cancer and retirement. So you can't really use him as an example of "would I want him here right now". Of course not. But 10 years ago...hell yeah. And it has nothing to do with his last season or 2. Same with Higgins. The guy is only 59. Would I want him here in some capacity. Damn straight.
  15. Damn rights I would take Matthews. If he hadn't got sick and retired I would anyway. Guy was a control freak but he was a winning one.
  16. It's ok. We'll let you know.
  17. Yeah, it means: having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music. Synonyms: cheerful, gleeful, happy, glad, cheery, lighthearted, joyous, joyful, jovial; sunny, lively, vivacious, sparkling; chipper, playful, jaunty, sprightly, blithe. Antonyms: serious, grave, solemn, joyless; staid, sedate; unhappy, morose, grim; sad, depressed, melancholy
  18. Someone replied to Toth saying that a friend of theirs was on the flight with him and he was in fact on his way here. Although looking at Toth's twitter account he's all over the friggen place. It's like his mind is bamboozled with witzits and watchamacallits. So take his word for what it's worth...next to nothing.
  19. Oh that's who you played for in high school. Makes sense now.
  20. From the Ottawa Sun: http://www.ottawasun.com/2013/06/08/ottawa-redblacks-president-jeff-hunt-writes-why-the-name-was-chosen-for-the-cfl-team I personally think it's the stupidest name I've ever heard. Either way "Go Blacks Go" or "Go Reds Go"...they're going to sound racist. But whatever.
  21. Let me see...in 7 years as a HC he went 72-53 and brought his teams to the playoffs every year and won the grey cup one of those years.Yeah sounds like he really struggled as a coach. did he not ultimately **** the bed in his last 2 or 3 gigs tho? as it, cfl changed and he didnt? The only season he lost was the last season he was a HC when he went 7-10 and still made the playoffs. After that from 2008 till now he was the CFL director of officiating. What 2 or 3 gigs are you talking about?
  22. Let me see...in 7 years as a HC he went 72-53-1 and brought his teams to the playoffs every year and won the grey cup one of those years. Yeah sounds like he really struggled as a coach.
  23. One of the league's all time most notable players, the greatest receiver in the history of the Grand Ol' Loop........and he was right to say it. ...But that's neither here nor there. he was never right to say it. he was being a punk and his apologists know it. i wish John Candy were still around when he said that... Was that Williams that said that?
  24. Walters prefers Collaros that's all that matters at this point. Wanna bet that's who he prefers? Coming from a guy that just LIKED his own post.
