Off topic? It's the movie thread, the only topic is movies. This is regarding movies, it's all good. Yeah I could possibly see this as a Bond intro.

Haha, yeah it does sound a bit like a dance party music. I still like it. And when you put it at the beginning of the movie it feels different. Writings on the wall was just trying too hard (like you said). And his high pitch voice just annoys me. I don't think it deserved it personally. A lot of people couldn't believe Lady Gaga didn't win it.

You liked the Spectre theme song? I thought it was one of the worst Bond songs out there. Live and let die, Die another day, Goldfinger, Skyfall, so many good ones.

You guys are lost. Candace Cameron is the only one worth having on that show. She's the hottest and closest to my age. And Kimmy is a freak...A FREAK I TELLS YA! Although I'll give her this, she's someone I wouldn't mind as a close friend.

I don't think it matters to them. The fact that not one was nominated, to them, is a huge deal. Even though I think, and I think most people think, the Oscars are a big farce anyway.

I think because of Will Smith not getting nominated and nothing being nominated for Straight Outta Compton (being a huge hit in the black community), among other things, a lot of people were saying it was racist that no black actors were being nominated. Amazingly the black community didn't seem to give a crap about any other ethnicity not being nominated. Just something I noticed.

Michael B Jordan did not deserve to be nominated for Creed. His performance was good, but nothing Oscar worthy. To me he was just MBJ...again. Like all the rest of his performances. I didn't see the movie with Idris Elba so I can't comment on him. Nor did I see Will Smith's performance. If they were snubbed it sucks. I know the Oscars do that a lot to certain actors. Like how was Jim Carrey not nominated for his performance on Man on the Moon. That one was just ludicrous. I remember at the time he had said something that he didn't care about the Oscars. I think a lot of people also wanted him nominated for The Truman Show, which he did a good job in as well...not sure if it was Oscar worthy, but at the time it was a really good movie.

I've heard of so many people that get sick using those 3D tv's. I would never buy one. Just another gimmick to sell stuff. Give me a sharper image over 3D any day.

LOL "surpass 2.7 billion". Dude, the 3D gimmick you got from the first one is gone. And it takes you 10 years just to do one movie. It's going to have to be magic to even get to 2 billion.

I agree with you though. I don't want to be the "Chargers of the CFL". I never got where the lightning bolt came from. And then they started calling the cheerleaders the Blue Lightning. Pretty soon they're going to change us to the Winnipeg Lightning because "Bomber airplanes are too warlike". ...I don't know where I'm going with this...

I barely watch any of them either. Most of the time none of them spark my interest. Although I'm trying to find time to watch the Martian, that looks good. And I saw Creed which was also good. The rest...eh. I may watch them at some time or another. Although the Birdman is still sitting there collecting dust on Netflix so...

I think John Carter was more from not being sold properly. They didn't really do a lot to push the movie and let the public know it was out there, so I think that's more why it failed. I watched the movie once it came out and was surprised how much I actually liked it. I thought it was really good. Silverhawks, man I haven't seen that show in ages. But you're right, very similar style.

I watched like, 10 minutes with my wife and felt like gagging. I didn't laugh once and it made me sad to see how fat Bob Saget got, not to mention he doesn't seem to even be able to speak properly during some of his lines. Although John Stamos and Lori Laughlin looked like they barely aged. And Candice Cameron is hot, but not enough to keep my attention to actually watch this..."show". All the reviews I've read state that the show isn't very good, but I'm sure the regular viewer won't have the same verdict. My wife insists on watching and I don't know why, considering that I barely ever hear her laugh. But hey, if you're enjoying it, all the power to you.

There's a mix in Egypt of black and middle-eastern types, but in the time they're showing in the movie, it should be mostly middle-eastern types. Aside from the fact that I always thought it looked ridiculous, almost none of the races are correct. Not to mention that almost all Egyption gods have heads of animals, not humans. The whole movie wreaks of stupid.
