  1. We should just have a North American currency and that way all money is even steven.
  2. OMG...
  3. Someone needs to pump our tires when certain members of the media tear us down so much. Also, what team doesn't pump their own tires? I think they all do it. They're trying to sell tickets after all. But I understand what you're saying.
  4. The point is that you shouldn't R rate something that shouldn't be R rated. Batman and Superman and most of the DC hero's shouldn't be R rated. That's not who they are. There are a few anti-hero's like Lobo in DC. But as far as this goes, why R rate it? To me that's just Zach trying to make another gimmick to sell things. You don't R rate something just for the sake of R rating it. It just shows me that Snyder is an idiot.
  5. Well...no not that part. LOL. Although it was funny.
  6. See, now to me Suicide Squad would almost make sense getting an R rating, either in the theater or on Bluray. That one makes sense.
  7. Have any of you ever used any of these credit cards that have no foreign currency transaction fee's? I know Amazon has one, and it's free, so no yearly fee that you need to pay. But I've read of lot of the reviews saying that people keep getting their Amazon Card locked because they bought something online and it looked "suspicious" and then it's a huge headache to get it unlocked again. There's a few other cards out there as well that do the same but there's an annual fee. Anyone use these and can you give some feedback? I'd like to get one but I'm not sure which to get. We travel a lot and I purchase things from the US quite often so it would be worth it for us.
  8. But even those events aren't that dark. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
  9. Geez, it's crazy what they can't detect.
  10. See the last paragraph above.
  11. I don't get how it could get an R rating either. That was kind of my original point. Having gory headshots and blood splattering everywhere doesn't really sync with Batman (maybe the Joker if he's even in the movie) so I don't really get how the movie can even reach an R rating. And if they're just throwing in curse words, that's stupid too. It's Zach Snyder, so you never know what kind of stupid things he's up to. As for kids, we don't watch the news so my kids never see all of that. And they don't really surf the internet much. If they want to research something I let them use my iPad and they are usually supervised. They do play some online games as well but that's it. The only TV we watch is PVR'd so they don't see commercials either, and we're a superhero family (well we boys are) so they only see the things that I get for them. I'm not into zombie's so we don't watch any of the zombie TV shows. I don't find it hard at all to keep them away from junk, but that's just us. They also have other activities, hobbies and homework to keep them occupied so surfing the net, watching TV or playing games are more of a perk for them. And I know what you mean about wanting to let them watch certain movies, I have to hold myself back from letting my kids watch a lot of stuff that I wish I could share with them right now, but they're just not ready for this stuff yet. A lot of parents are trying to let their kids grow up too fast rather then just letting kids be kids. Anyway, that's beside the point. My original comment was more of a "why would you make a Batman and Superman movie R rated"? The reason I was talking about kids was because they're superheroes meant for kids/adults. Deadpool the comic is meant to be R rated, it's more of an adult comic. Same with Wolverine (although I'd say Wolverine could go either way depending on the story). But Batman and Superman to me are more of a PG-13 type of thing. Batman could go pretty dark, but not really necessary. I just don't get why anyone would bother doing it for those specific heroes. It makes no sense.
  12. Who doesn't hate Regina?
  13. 1. I never said it was going to have sex or F bombs...I said Batman doesn't need to be brutal and that we don't need blood flying all over the place. I don't think they would put sex scenes into a DC Superhero movie or swear. I'm guessing most of the R rating will be from someone like Batman kicking the living crap out of someone. I'm just saying that's not necessary to entertain people. Nolan's Batman movies were PG-13 and they had some pretty crazy violence in them without having to go overboard. I've watched those dark DC Cartoons with Batman in them as well, and I find that when they go darker they just ruin that superhero vibe. 2. Kids don't need R rating to find edge, no one does really. That's just a BS argument by the way. I've watched R rated movies and I still love things like Pixar, Dreamworks, etc... that are low key, so saying because they've watched something with edge, that everything else would bore them is not a valid argument. And I don't blame the internet, I blame the parents.
  14. Personally, I'd prefer if they don't do an R version of BvS. Just sounds dumb to me. Batman doesn't need to be that brutal. And we really don't need to see blood flying all over the place. These characters are meant for kids as well as adults, no need to adult everything up. Cause you know stupid parents are going to let their little kids watch this. I think our kids are desensitized enough as it is. Regardless, I don't want to see an R rated version either. Superman and Batman should be heroes, not Deadpool antiheroes. Just my opinion though.
  15. I wouldn't mind if we opened into smaller markets like ND, SD, etc... I would love to have more then 9 teams in the league. The issue, like everyone has already stated, is the ratio. If you get rid of that ratio, that could possibly hurt lower levels of football for collage, university, CIS, etc... If there was a way to do it with the ratio, then I'd be all for it. Although I would never want them to go into a big area like St. Louis. As others have stated, I don't want to just have a football team in there for a few years just to have NFL steamroll it's way back in and take over. I'd like to keep it in smaller markets. You'd have to have some very smart executives that could convince the US to allow that kind of thing into their country. I'm sure it's not impossible, but the likelihood is a very low percentage that they'd be able to make something work.
  16. OMG...this better not be another half hour fight between whoever like it was in MoS. Uggh...that fight scene between the Kryptonians and Superman just went on forever. Then the whole "must destroy the Earth shatterer" which was another whatever length of time. See this it the problem I have with Zach. He's the "more is better" kind of guy. The "quantity over quality". This is what worries me about this movie. Yes action scenes are exciting, but once you've seen one building topple over, it gets boring after the 15th building falls...
  17. Way to steal Jpan's thunder.
  18. OMG I remember watching that show. That show was so weird.
  19. I agree with you on all points. Good write up.
  20. Agreed. The idea was good, it was just the story and execution of it all that made no sense. WAY too many plot holes. - Why they stuck around for 25 years and knew that Spock was going to appear at a certain spot...what?!?!? - How they're mining vessel (or whatever it was) had all those weapons. - Kirk's jump from cadet to Captain...seriously wtf??!! - The relationship between Spock and Uhura. I could believe this if, in the original series there was some kind of clue that they were interested in each other, but they never like that. Uhura had more of a bond with Scotty. Now if they had made that happen that would make more sense. - etc... I still didn't like Pine but that's just me. Shatner just had this presence about him that you rarely see in others.
  21. I didn't mind the movie like others did....except for the ending which was pure garbage. The way they treated Deadpool was terrible. And the whole "adamantium bullet to the brain erases your memories" was....stupid. They could have at least said the bullet contained some kind of serum that wipes memories or something. And in the comics Sabertooth and Wolverine are not brothers. But I don't mind that change.
