Hollywood fantasy... It's fun to watch & get into as a fan (which I enjoy) but nothing based on reality. A theory is just that, a theory. Therefore if that theory is used not based on scientific fact, it is therefore a fantasy. So anything that is not reality yet, to you, is Hollywood fantasy? So I guess all the scientists out there who work in theoretical physics should just rename their field "Hollywood fantasyists". I guess Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking should have probably taken up other fields of work, like juggling or something.

There's also something called Hyperspace, which is what Star Wars uses. This is the folding of space so it makes going from point A to point B a lot shorter. It's a form of creating your own wormhole. There are many other ways to travel faster then the speed of light, that they have theorized, without actually having to speed up your ship past the speed of light, if that is even possible.

I believe in parallel universes, but I don't believe any has crashed into ours. Although how would we ever know. One thing, the Forrest Gump quote...it was said more then once in the movie, which is why people tend to get it wrong. So true, I just wanted some exploration dammit. The one ep they got right was when the Communication officer took a pet home and it was turning out well and they dropped it off on another planet. One of the writers explained this. The Kelvin scanned the Narada and all that future tech was put it into the memory banks which were saved when they left the ship. Considering how much better 2 was she might have saved it. Course season 1 had some great TOS-type eps. The drug addiction one my fave. Surprised you not bring up the 'holodeck' episode. Oh vey. I never watched all of Enterprise so I missed the Holodeck episode.

Science fiction is based on technology that we could have. It's based around our actual reality. Fantasy is not based in our reality. It's magic, technology that can and can't be explained, etc... Star Trek is Science Fiction. Star Wars is Fantasy. Yes they're closely related, but there's a reason there's 2 different sections in the book store.

Shhh I haven't watched the last episode yet. I just finished Episode 5.

I knew as soon as I saw the transporters that it wouldn't be long before they started using it all the time. After all, who wants to watch them go down to a planet on a shuttle all the time? Yeah, they had some things right, but like all prequels, they decide to change things in order to make their stories work, and that usually ends up in disaster. Ah well...hopefully this is a continuation of the old story line and not attached to the new Trek.

No...ALL TNG EPISODES WERE AMAZING!!!!1111 Except for the first 2 seasons which were kind of lame. BUT EVERYTHING AFTER THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I still hold by what I said. Enterprise was not the Trek people wanted. They tuned in for the first half of the season because they were hoping it was Trek...it was not. Plus, it's too hard to make a prequel to something who's technology is already considered lame (TOS). They need to move forward, or restart from the beginning rather then make a prequel.

Pfff...no it's not. I liked the first episode. A couple of things I didn't like but overall I thought it was good. I like variety. Plus she's hot. We'll see how it goes, it's only been one episode...well 2 now but I haven't seen the second one yet.

Yeah, only reason I care is because I don't want to give CFL haters another reason to tell us "CFL SUCKS!"

Not every show is for everyone. I can't watch Game of Thrones. Which is odd since I love all of that mid-evil stuff, D&D and what not.

Thing is, if someone wants to get into these theaters and do some damage, they're going to figure out a way how. But I can understand them wanting to minimize any troubles considering things that have happened. And lots of kids are going to be there as well. I just hope that stuff doesn't start happening up here in Canada.

My two fav's were TNG and DS9. I'm not sure what it was, but my brain couldn't take the hokeyness of TOS. Voyager was ok, although at times very boring. Enterprise was just not the Trek people wanted. Prequels are more or less never good.

I think diving directly towards the knees would be good to get rid of. But grabbing someone's ankle and tripping them up would be legal.

It is spin. No one here knows what's going on, but everyone thinks they do and are seemingly getting mad about all the possibilities. One person says they're talking to someone and everyone jumps off the deep end with all their conspiracy theories. It's hilarious how crazy this thread has become over one simple line. It doesn't even say the person he's talking to is another coach, but OMGZORZ!!!111 WADE MILLERZ SPOKE TO SOMEONE!!! That's all we know. We don't know if MOS and him were talking and it went something like: WM: Hey Mike, I heard you wanted so and so as your such and such coach for next year. I know you're busy, did you want me quickly chat with him for you to see if he's even interested. MOS: Sure. But hey, if it entertains you, keep spinning your wheels.

I hate those shots to the knees. Seems like that's been happening more and more lately. It's a legal hit but the rules need to change for that. We need to have better rules to protect the QB's in this league.

Sorry, I was harsher then I had wanted to be in that post. It was a bad day of reading other people's crap that they were trying to shove down other people's throats, and I lashed out at your post. I'm going to just break away from this thread and post in fluffier threads to keep my head cooler.

I think there is a thread with a long debate about this. But a white person wanting it changed doesnt speak for all white people, First Nations people not wanting it changed dont speak for all Aboriginals. Its a racial slur. And it's silly that its still even debated. That's like telling me that when Russell Peters makes fun of East Indian's, that it's racist. The N word is a racial slur that should never be used...yet nowadays people are using it left right and center as if it's no big deal. It's one thing if someone says it to someone else or to a group of people as a slur, but calling a team Redskins that even the aboriginals on the team don't care about, then who cares? People like you need to get off your high horse. All that "political correctness" that people spew and telling us what we should and shouldn't be allowed to think is right or wrong, is what's wrong with this world. Just remember, you don't speak for all the Aboriginals in this world either. It's your opinion, and that's it. FYI, I'm just using this post as a point. You tend to do this in a lot of threads where your opinion is the correct one and whoever doesn't follow it is a racist or doesn't know what they're talking about or is just plain wrong.

I think they should get rid of the rouge altogether personally. It's like rewarding someone for screwing up.
