I think you can collectively bargain around certain laws. Such as anti trust etc. I would think this would be one of those too No you can't. The only American sports league to be exempt from anti-trust laws is MLB. Rich was right about American labour laws being the reason the American teams didn't have to deal with the ratio. Then how does the NHL work? Or any sport that employs Canadian citizens. The players have to be demonstrated as better than an American. It's recognized Canadian hockey players are. Football is different. You mean CFL is different? Cause NFL would probably have to work the same way.

If they were to ever expand, just make them have to follow the same rules as us. That whole "they don't need Canadians on their team" was ridiculous. Although it didn't seem to matter since some of the teams were crap.

Zach Collaros is a terrible QB, Jon Cornish sucks as a RB, and Soloman Elimimian doesn't know how to tackle to save his life. Just my opinion.

Lawless is the stupidest sports writer in Winnipeg. I won't read his crap and if he is ever on TV I mute it. Do you ever have a balanced opinion? I don't have to be balanced about Lawless. I do not find any redeeming qualities in what he does. I don't read Paul Friesen either, because I think he is often just throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks, but I cannot argue that he does have valid points every so often. Lawless just spews out opinions or information that has not been vetted and in some cases has been flat out made up. I will stick with paying more attention to the real reporters like Penton and co. Again, I may not always agree with them, but they have a much better track record and try to stay away from spreading rumours. Umm...he didn't call you any names, nor did he bully you. He's just asking you a valid question and stating his opinion on how you come across. The only person I see name calling in this post is you calling Lawless stupid.

I taught a few people here...not sure if he was one of them. On behalf of those that teach...we apologize for helping him out. He did after all look like a lame lobotomized dog at the time, so we were just trying to give him a boost.

They also have an OC who understands how to beat a blitz and that protecting said QB is the #1 importance. How many qb's have been hurt in MB system while he's been with the bombers? What about his entire career? Not saying it's all on him either. But it's just interesting to think about. But they have a rookie OC and we have one with 10+ years of CFL experience... surely our OC must also understand these concepts? Should have said "they have a competent OC and we have one that's never proven that he's worth anything."

I like Mike, but I think they'll can him at the end of this season. And if Walters goes, that will almost definitely be the end of him. This reminds me of the Reinbold hiring. Everyone wanted Ritchie, but they hired Jeff. And we lost big time. This time, a lot of people wanted Higgins (not saying everyone), and we got Mike (although not quite the failure Reinbold was). Wonder if that means we'll end up with Higgins next year. In any case, if he does get the boot, I hope they hire someone who's been around the block. Not sure if we can lure anyone away or what the answer is.

If MB is made head coach of this football team, I'm just going to quit as a fan of this football club.
