Get a grip on reality. In the first blowout vs TiCats Drew Willy was a whopping 3 of 6 for 48 yards and zero TDs. In the next game vs Esks Willy was a masterful 7-17 for 81 yards. Next blowout vs TiCats Willy was 16-27 for 171 yards with one TD and one INT for a pick 6. As Winnipeg's starter Willy produced a total of 8 TDs in 7 games, before his injury. He had virtually the same QB passer rating as rookie Rakeem Cato, who, at that point, had played one less game. Winnipeg's O production has been mostly putrid, with the occasional big-play exception, regardless of who is in at QB since around the the halfway point of last year. Injured. Injured. Injured. Yeah, Doublezero, you really need to check the facts before you post. He got injured in each of those outings like Goalie said. You act like he threw for 48 yards in 4 quarters. And btw, that 171 yards was 2 quarters before he wrecked his knee. So he was on his way to 300. Do you even watch the games?

You can tell he's nervous about Nichols. Look at how much he's sweating while answer questions.
-
I'm not been picky but that's just not true, even in win 3 I believe he didn't even break 200. Actually Willy only had one game this season where he broke 300. 3 or 4 others were over 250. The rest he was hurt. Or had got injured that game so you can't really count that.
-
Absolutely you do, not disagreeing with that at all. And I am nitpicking at this point, I get that. I guess I'm just disappointed that the guy we've been developing was so bad, he got beat that quickly. Or that he wasn't replaced sooner, given the amount of injuries we've had. I'm happy that a guy we just signed is so good that he's already beat out a guy we've been developing for a few months. Great job Kyle!! Glass half empty... Glass half full... Actually, if you have an empty glass, it's empty. If you fill it up half way, it's half full. If you fill it up all the way it's full. If you drink half of it, then it's half empty.

Oooh. My nipples are hard.... Did I miss the Lemon signing? I was going to say the same thing. I don't remember us signing Lemon yet. Don't jump the gun guys.

I wish people would stop saying we should get Buck to play. Do you really think he wouldn't have already suited up if he wanted to play? Guys probably nowhere near game shape. Plus, I don't think he wants to get killed again behind that Oline with MB offense.
-
Yeah, someone also put his Position as Dickwad.
-
Not a big Nichols fan either, but I'm happy about this. Edmonton probably hates Saskatchewan as much as we do so they were like "just give us some token pick and you can have Nichols".

Sorry, my Walters point was more towards his other moves, not the Lewis/Longo one just FYI. It was more towards the Walker and everything else he's doing.

Dunk: Chevon Walker to sign with Winnipeg

Ah ok. Don't remember reading about him. Or I was so uninterested in the news that I forgot about it. -
A Comprehensive Review of Kyle Walters
Logan007 replied to AKAChip's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't think he seems to have the knowledge enough to know who we do and don't need. He talks a good talk but he's not bringing in the talent. -

We have 5? Who's the one I'm missing? Willy, Marve, Brohm, Davis and? -
Ok, I use to be a fan of Walters. But no more. He would be good if he worked in tandem with someone else, but at this point he just doesn't have the contacts or the experience.

if the back is experienced but not good enough is it worth it? I'd rather try a rookie out. That's how we got Marshall. If you keep using retreads you'll never find any good rookies. At this time of year especially you should be bringing in rookies for a look see unless you're planning on going deep in the playoffs and want that veteran insurance policy.I truly believe Walters and O'Shea are still pushing for a Grey Cup run this season. -
Just say "NO" to Taman.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 78 Saskatchewan Roughriders 5. What? Are we all of a sudden going to start running the football or something? Cause the air attack sure isn't going to give us 78 points.

Markus Howell as the new OC - Free Press

You know what...the MB fan club is over there... ...go sit with them. Youtube super stars. That's the angry video game nerd on the left and Keith Apicary on the right. Both are far more successful than anyone the Bombers have employed this season. Dude, I don't go ruining my jokes with your knowledge of the interwebz. -
How the heck did I get Kyle Orton on my team when he's retired? Should he have been removed from the list of available players?

Different schemes would make a difference though. Only if you bring in Paul Johnson and the triple option. Marve can't pass, probably can't throw either, Brohm can't throw for sure. Good luck. Throw in some screens and crossing patterns. Makes it easier on the QB and makes a QB look better. Or running plays as well. Running plays are goooood. And not just straight up the middle plays either. Marshall only got the ball 9 times and Thomas 3. -

Not sure what you mean, I don't see many calling for MOS's head its Marcel B. we are taking about, Mike O'Shea is a great leader and players do want to play for him however his one big weakens is he is putting Coaches and Players ahead of the overall good of the team and a top level HC Never does that, I do think that MOS will be a very good HC one day my issue is will he learn from his mistakes quickly enough if he is learning he will replace the biggest problem on the team sooner than later ( Marcel B. ) Have you not read the forums? Lots of guys here are saying we should fire MOS. -

Geez, way to get me all excited with the topic. Then a big letdown after reading it was just a column by Lawless. -
AW, I knew I should have posted right saying someone was going to come on here and say "well we need to give him some more time". Dang...now I can't say I told you so to anyone.
-
See...that one time a few weeks ago I was saying we should start Davis. Now look where everyone is. YEAH DAVIS GO!!!! #teamdavis, #futurestarqb, #supremeoverlordofcfl

You want a proven head coach then your only option is Trestman. No not Higgins. Everyone else with experience who isn't 100 years old has been given a shot to be a head coach and failed. That's why it's always coordinators getting hired these days. You know what' better than firing a decent head coach in Mike O'Shea? Giving him enough depth on the roster so that a few injuries don't derail the entire thing. We need to stop blaming coaches here. Kyle Walters seems to be the teflon man but 2 years now he has simply not brought in enough talent from the States to this team and his drafting is fairly over rated as well. He's done some good work in signing CFL free agents but outside of that he is lacking and needs to be better before we think that a new coach will magically fix everything. Except for MB. We can always blame MB.
