  1. Harris.
  2. I wasn't going to say that but didn't want to get into a Mac debate with anyone.
  3. There are 12 listed there. Back to the Sask school system for you. What the hell...they must have updated the picture since I posted. I swear there was only 11 when I counted. I SWEAR!!!
  4. OMG I totally forgot about Fuji. He was awesome. LMAO Fuji: Knock knock SD: "Who's there?" Fuji: "Jehova's Witness"
  5. Why does it look like the Lions are missing a defensive player? Don't they usually put the starter for each role down?
  6. Puh...no way. Johnny Wayne all the way. You are OUT OF YOUR MIND! I mean what is wrong with you! I can't talk about this anymore... ...slams door!
  7. It's coming to the point where I really dislike both those guys...for no apparent reason, just from all the negativity surrounding the debate. It is a bit of a change though... for so many years the back up QB was always the most popular guy in the stadium! Plus Marve is hot. Not MBRG hot, but still hot.
  8. What!?!? Aww. Okay, I may have been a bit hasty. I'm open to change. But first things first - bomberdynasty has another post out there somewhere, I've got to find it. This stuff is gold Jerry.
  9. Also, shouldn't this thread be started tomorrow? It's supposed to be the Gif day thread MOAB!!! Psshh...typical.
  10. STOP IT! That is so disturbing.
  11. If you're not shy, I say go for it. Some people would be way too concerned about the judging eyes of others. Well....yaknowwhat...if the spirit feels free, why not the rest of you? (something something...joke about a lightning rod) I hate you. I feel like Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory when he can't think of a comeback after he gets burned by Leslie Winkle.
  12. Holy hell, some people sleeping at the wheel or what?
  13. He said they called for 5mm. My statement was meant more like a remark. I should have said "more like 5 inches". I wasn't correcting him I was saying it was way more then 5mm.
  14. Haven't tried Win10 yet. But don't get me started on Office 2013 and it's atrocious colors. Uggh. Hate is too soft of a word that I have in mind for it. You'd think they were going backwards or something.
  15. OMGZORZ, I used teh statz!!ONE111 Seriously. I just posted those to show how equal they were. Triple Marve's throws and they almost look identical. My point was, a lot of you guys act like he's this amazeballs QB that you are so sure is leaps and bounds better then Brohm when you've seen very little play time from him. Yes, he danced around a lot last year and made a few fancy plays, but that was it. He only completed 11 passes and ran for 45 yards. That's hardly anything to be judging a person by when comparing them to anyone else. I will agree with you that he does seem to give the team a lift. And I do want to see him out there. But I think you're being blinded a little by the fact that Brohm has played poorly this year. Also, I think you're comparing Marve from last year to Brohm from this year, rather then Brohm from last year (FYI my response before was made because Bearpants said last year, so I was talking about Brohm and Marve's stats from last year not Brohm from this year). I remember Brohm going in when Willy got hurt and he was looking pretty good. Now what happened from last year to this year makes me wonder wtf happened to the guy. Cause until he hurt his finger, he was actually looking pretty good out there last year. Not great considering he's been a QB for 7 years, but pretty good.
  16. Maybe the rational posters to a degree yes.. But there is ample reasons listed as to why this is.. I'll reinerate again tho.. -marve hurt -brohm is more experienced -brohm is more of a pocket passer These are the 3 that stand out to me as why brohm is ahead of marve at this point.. - when Marve was not hurt....Marve was outperforming Brohm. Once again, I'm going to ask the question, when? When has Marve outperformed Brohm? In practice? In preseason? It's comments like this that make me want to lose it on people. Practice and preseason mean almost nothing. Again, I'm not saying Brohm doesn't suck, or that I don't want Marve to play. I want Marve to play, and I hope he succeeds. But we haven't seen anything from him to say he is better then Brohm yet. The rest of your comments I agree with. Last season? BROHM, B 2014 WPG 39 70 55.7 454 54 0 0 1 1.43 69.6 MARVE, R 2014 WPG 11 22 50 140 42 1 4.6 0 85.4 So you're telling me that you can tell by these stats, that Marve outperformed Brohm last season? Really? Looks pretty similar to me, other then Marve running a lot more then Brohm. With this little amount of playing time behind Marve, we can't really judge if he's better then Brohm. Again, I hope he is if he ever gets to play because I'm tired of watching Brohm. But you have no proof yet. Every time I hear people say "WE NEED TO START MARVE, HE'S BETTER THEN BROHM", all I keep hear is the past few years bouncing back..."we need to play Brink, he's better then Buck", "we need to play Elliott, he's better then Brink", "we need to play Goltz, he's better then Buck/Elliott", etc... And when they got to play what did we hear from the same people who were screaming and yelling to have them play? "Get rid of Brink/Elliott/Goltz...he sucks!".
  17. The problem is that for decades now the Bomber organization upper management has had a dislike for scrambling offenses or mobile QB's. The pattern we observe is so ingrained across a period where there were so many different head coaches and offensive coordinators that it must be mandated from certain members of the BOD. In my opinion Winnipeg's problem of having consistently lousy teams for the last 25 years is a testament to the failure of this BOD governance model. Governments are not capable of running organizations with excellence. Politicians are known just to provide the minimum level of service that is acceptable to prevent mass revolt - nothing more. The BOD has become nothing more than an old boys club, and there are no new ideas or different strategies being applied to run the organization. It is top-down, politically run, and completely dysfunctional. As long as the bills get paid, I don't think they really care that much about quality or winning - they are used to having a fan base that comes out even when they are not winning. Wade Miller is just a slightly more likeable PR-friendly version of Bauer that brings all the high-level sophistication of a Booster Juice stand to the organization. (Think Corky from "Life Goes On") His role is exclusively to keep the wheels on and the money flowing in through the ongoing losses. Despite some differences in strategy, Walters is much more like Taman than he is like a Roy Shivers as he can't consistently find good import players. Things are still not going in the right direction there. Mike OShea is Mike Kelley version 2.0 minus some of the Drama (Lets just not think about that one at all!) Bellefeuille is not any better than Crowton when you look at the bottom line (scoring TDs) where things actually count Willy is a Buck Pierce clone, and behind that O-Line, even after the so-called improvements this year, his career will be much shorter than one would expect etc, etc, etc. The more things change, the more they stay the same, and the losing ways keep rolling along... This isn't rebuilding, and this team will not be markedly better in another year, two years, or even 5 years. It is "rinse and repeat" mode to the max. Drop the BOD governance model, get an owner who cares, and then we are talking... What the f..... Are you high?!?! - The BOD don't micromanage this team. This team is recruited by Walters and his team. - I'd take Wade Miller over Lyle Bauer any day. - O'Shea is nothing like Kelley...like...AT ALL. - As much as I hate MB, he's still way better then Crowton who was the worst I've probably seen. At least MB is mediocre. - Willy is NOTHING like Buck. Marve is more like Buck then Willy. Buck was not a pocket passer. Please tell me you're just messing around and being really sarcastic.
  18. This is why I can't stand MB. It's raining out, and instead of using his RB's, he's got Willy and Brohm tossing the ball around slipping through the receivers fingers. It blows my mind.

  20. Hard to disagree. Brohm has not looked good but I also don't believe marve is ready (or healthy enough) to take brohms spot. I truly believe marve needs to prove he can run MB's offense (as crummy as it can be) without needing to run away at first pressure every time, Riddle me this folks. Marcel's offense is vanilla, outdated and simple.. If this is the case, why can't such an elite stud like marve pick it up and use it to his advantage in practice or scrimmages? Hard to disagree. I'm not trying to defend MB here but how do you know his offense is "vanilla, outdated & simple"? Have you ever been a coach at any level? A CFL OC? What exactly are your football qualifications based on to make such a statement? Come back with a new & complete CFL offensive playbook & show us how you would call the plays against every defense you'd see. Oh & don't forget blocking schemes as well. If you haven't read the entire thread, Spuds is quoting what other people have stated in this thread many times already, including me. He's not actually saying MB's offense is vanilla. If you've read anything from Spuds in the last while, he's actually been the one defending MB.
  21. In this case, it's Wiececk's verbage and not a quote from O'Shea himself.Did you miss where he says Oshea said this?Man do you need to be there to believe? Are the reporters twisting and lying now to make Oshea look bad? The direct quote from O'Shea is the one that is IN QUOTES. I.E. "Robert Marve hasn’t been able to take reps for the last two weeks,". The statement "and O’Shea says there is nothing Marve could show in practice this week to earn the starting job ahead of Brohm if Willy cannot go", is not a quote from O'Shea, otherwise he would have put it in quotes. The two sentences don't even make sense when put together. If Marve is hurt and he "hasn't been able to take reps for the last 2 weeks", then of course he won't be able to do anything in practice to win the starting job. Sounds more like Wiececk is trying to get people riled up by wording it a certain way.
  22. Did you yell out "BROHM SUCKS! STOP HIGH FIVING HIM!"? If not...you're not a real fan.
