  1. Why? He did better then MB.
  2. I don't know if we can pin the failings of the 2014 offence on Bellefeuille or the OL. Is Bellefeuille's offence (and Willy) effective with a league average OL or better? Does the offence (and/or the QB) make the OL look worse than it is. Personally, I think both statements are somewhat true. Bellefeuille's offence can't truly be evaluated if the QB is having to improvise as often as Willy had to in 2014; but the guy was a statue in the pocket as the season wore on. I think if we're throwing money at problems, I throw it at the OL and the DC. If the OL improves, Bellefeuille's offence MAY be better in 2015. Etch's scheme is a known quantity, and HE brought in the players he wanted to fit in the scheme. That's not a failure you can lay at the feet of the players. It's the OC's plays that tell the OL where they need to go. According to January, the schemes were not very good and made the OL look bad. And from what I saw, I tend to agree. You can give MB all the best OL in the world and I bet our offense will still suck.
  3. Cortez - cortex, do they both connote cerebral? For me, the mystic of Cortez has worn off. He was unremarkable last year in handling Sask.'s offence, especially with DD out. He's morphing into what looks like, a grumpy old man and if he can't get along with anybody, then why would we want that? And what's with our own fans disrespecting our own OC's name? Why is he deity or something? It's a football forum. And I'm sure Marcel wouldn't care. Get over yourself. You sound like a Rider fan. It's an easy but unoriginal mangling of one of our coach's name, and gets old. And it isn't about me. You need to understand the difference. You sound like an utterly humourless person. To each their own. Just an FYI...you do remember Nate use to do that name butchering all the time right? Just saying...
  4. Cause he puts a good offense on the field and has for quite a number of years now. More than that though, Bellefool needs to get gone. We'll never be a winning team with him around. Yes this! Let us all high five to this!
  5. Today comes with a 2 for 1 special with this post. What a country!
  6. Reports out of Ottawa have Jason Maas being named their OC. Already a thread on it. http://morningbigblue.com/community/topic/6159-jason-maas-ottawas-new-oc/
  7. I don't care how nice of a guy you are. If you suck at your job, then you need to be replaced. I don't know how he keeps getting hired in the CFL when he's never really had a successful season as an OC. I agree with MBRG...Etch's D, although mediocre, kept our team alive when MB's play calling was crapping the bed.
  8. Sorry, for some reason I thought you were a woman. No problem. No matter which plumbing i was born with, I am still me and this is far from an insult. He's more machine now, then woman....twisted and evil.
  9. I'm so tired of MB and his crappy offensive schemes, I want to boot his ass out of Winnipeg myself.
  10. No one has to "support a gay lifstyle"- all people have to do is treat them the same as everyone else with the same rights and priviledges. Sexuality is not a digital either "perfectly straight" or "totally gay" choice. Sexuality is an analog thing along a sliding scale and homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom as well. I have seen a few examples of homosexuality in animals, but only when the other option wasn't available. I have also seen bulls and boars beat each other into a bloody pulp. At any rate, I don't think comparisons to the animal kingdom help homosexual rights very much. For example, many male mammals and birds do nothing to help raise their offspring. Do we then use that example to defend deadbeat dads? As my last comment on this- homosexual behaviour in animals (including primates) is not contingent on a lack of choice of partners- it appears to be innate. If you think that being gay is a matter of choice, ask yourself: when was the time when you found yourself equally attracted to both genders but made a conscious decision to go one way or another? Do you know how hard it is working down the hall from Voodoo? The sexual tension is CRAZY! But I chose not to cheat on my wife. But I can still check out his hot ass whenever I walk behind him. MEEOW!
  11. Let it go, not happening. Let it go, let it go,..
  12. Tracker's a girl?
  13. I think it was the way the characters interacted with each other and the dialogue, as well as the special effects, that made the original 3 so good. The comical interaction was great, especially from Han. Also, the originals had a clear cut hero, and a villain. And there was also a clear plot to the movies. The prequels had no clear hero, especially the Phantom Menace. The Phantom menace also didn't have a clear villain. And the plot was....what exactly? The blockade? OOOOoooo...I'm on the edge of my seat. And he used way too much CGI IMO in the prequels. But the saber fights were good. I also enjoyed watching Liam Neison, Christopher Lee, and....umm....Yoda...... My kids love watching the originals, but as soon as I turn the prequels on they get bored and walk away after a while. At least we have the originals...love them. And I hope this movie does really well, because I miss that feeling I get when watching Star Wars. And I don't mean nostalgia. I mean that feeling you get when you watch a movie you love, new or old. I really hope JJ pulls it off and I just leave the movie theater wow'd. I think as long as the story is solid and the banter between the characters is good and there's some decent humor thrown in along with some good saber fights, I'll be happy. I don't want much.
  14. Except the ending of both was awful. "I've got the higher ground"/"Into exile I must go" were two very good example of how bad a writer Lucas is. Yes you're right, closely followed up by "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Oh God, dont remind me. Just dreadful. Lucas is a lousy, lousy writer. I know he came to resent the backlash but what did he expect? I'm glad we all agree on that. Oh and let's not forget how compassionate ObiWan was for leaving Anakin siting there sans limbs burning in the fire. "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!........oh crap look at the time...sorry buddy I gotta run, I'd help you out of that fire but....umm.....yeah..."
  15. Basically it just shows that you can't make that leap... 10% of the general population being gay has no bearing whatsoever on the percentage of gay athletes. What is the percentage of black people in the USA vs. the percentage of black people in the NBA? Doesn't correlate very closely does it? Or the percentage of black people in the NHL for that matter. I was actually going to make that exact same point! Although it brings up an interesting point, what is the percentage of gay people per ethnic demo? Does it maintain a constant through all ethnicities, subject only to cultural influences ofcourse? Stats I've seen is yes, though its always subject to self declaration. Basically impossible to say. There is also the belief that everyone is gay. What's wrong with being happy? ARE YOU ANTI-HAPPY TUP?
  16. Did you miss the uni-ball robot?
  17. Change is good, but change for the sake of change is not always good. And unfortunately for you, all the old actors WILL be in this movie in case you didn't know. Luke, Han, Leia, Chewy, etc... will be in this. What they're trying to do is tie in the old with the new, which I think is a great way to keep it going. I know they will be in it, but I'd hate for them to be the main characters, and I really don't think they will be the focus. It's not unusual to me to not see them appearing in a teaser trailer, in fact I'm glad because that tells me they will be secondary characters rather than Luke and Han vs the universe part 2. Hmmm well, Ive heard it described as Ford's movie and he's supposedly the star of the first one. I think, from spoilers and speculation I've read that Luke wont show up til the end and will have a larger role in the second one. Im fine with them having big roles. Just because they are older actors doesnt mean they arent good. Will be interesting to see if they deviate from the idea that the saga is about the Skywalkers if if Luke and his family still play central roles. I heard the same rumors. I just hope the one about Luke only showing up later is not true. I want to see some trained Jedi in this thing.
  18. I really hates that Falcon shot. Its getting a lot of love online but to me its the opposite of what JJ promised - he said they were going to tone down the CGI and the trailer features a goofy CGI action shot of the Falcon. I would have preferred a more majestic shot of it rather then spinning all unnaturally. There are some story curiosities like Storm Troopers existing 30 years after the fall of the Empire but cant really be critical until the entire story unfolds. I thought it was silly to not feature anything that grounds the new film with the origionals. Even showing the image of Vader burning or the droids would have been better. immediately showing "young" actors in very uncompelling shots makes it seem a lot more like Episode 1 than Episode IV.
  19. Change is good, but change for the sake of change is not always good. And unfortunately for you, all the old actors WILL be in this movie in case you didn't know. 20. I would argue this point. Darth Maul's double light saber opened the door for modifications in The Phantom menace so I don't think you can lay the blame on JJ for that one. Not saying that his hilted version is a good idea, just that it's been done before. A double light saber has been in cannon for a long time, it's not actually new, so I don't mind that. I just think it looks dumb with it coming out the sides like that. As long as it serves some kind of purpose then I won't mind it.
  21. Yeah, I don't like that he has to always "improve" on things that don't need improving. Lightsabers have been a certain way for thousands of years in the Star Wars universe, and now all of a sudden they need to be changed? Just keep it basic man. He's a guy that makes change for the sake of change, and it can ruin things. Kind of like his Klingons in Star Trek. They were fine the way they were, but he had to make them look completely different because why? And the shaky cam of his...uggh. I didn't mind his iStormtroopers, but as soon as I saw the shaky came when it focused on the troopers, I was like...geez not again. STOP TRYING TO CHANGE WHAT MADE IT SUCCESSFUL! Same shot with the Falcon going all upside down and the camera following the turns but at a slower pace just seemed so unnecessary. I did like the new uniforms and the upgraded X-Wings. But yeah, can't tell a lot from 1 minute of sporadic footage. I hope it's good. I don't need it to look exactly like the originals, but I sure hope it feels like them.

  23. Because it's the CFL. Even a former player like Garcia thinks he can come in cold with no experience & be successful. I like Jeff but it's the height of arrogance that he thinks he can be a better coach than some of the guys who put in the time & sacrificed to learn. Slap in the face to them if he does get hired. . Hope he gets hired as HC and OC somewhere. Cause he'll make a good TSN analyst when he gets fired in 4 months. I don't think he'd make a good TSN analyst. He doesn't have that nice voice that some guys do...although Schultz somehow made it so...so much for my theory. Garcia never said he'd make a better head coach then anyone. He just said he's ready to be a HC. Don't put words in his mouth. And just because none of us think he's ready, doesn't mean he isn't. It's rare, but it happens.
  24. Well, A) he's a freakin amazing QB, he's married to a playboy playmate of the year. I just want him here in some form. He was a leader on the field and seems to have a good offensive mind and could read a defense really well.
