If by some chance you are serious, what should the Regina team have to give Edmonton for taking their Head coach? They gave permission though. Do you think it would be fair if Steinhauer quit and signed to coach another team despite Hamilton saying no way. You can't just allow people to ignore valid contracts. Morally Ottawa should let the guy go..legally they shouldn't. And yet anyone can give proper notice and quit a job in the real world.

When I lived in Edmonton and had Eskies season tickets, the 50/50 was drawn, and you had to claim within 5 minutes. If the winner didn't, they would redraw at the same game.

The winnings went to the next games 50/50 and because of the pot being so much bigger, 50/50 sales were way up. In light of recent events, that 50/50 draw has to be in question now too. It was claimed. But the person was ineligible. Completely different scenarios. Any idea of what made the person ineligible? Worked for Team, relative of someone who did, age, etc?

They'd be better off posting a picture of the winning number rather than typing it out. I'm meaning on the screens in the stadium and on the website. PS On a side note, why wouldn't the guy have gone to check the ticket after seeing the right number on the screen at the game?

You lost me here. The home team is a huge factor. The 2011 Grey Cup was sold out because the Lions were in it. I know because I saw about 30,000 fake fans show up for the game decked out in orange, who probably hadn't been to a game in years. The Cup last year wasn't sold out because the Lions weren't in it. It wasn't "trendy" to be there so the fake fans didn't show up. I was in Abbotsford a few weeks ago having lunch with a guy, and he has Seahawks and Canucks season tickets. Almost everyone in the restaurant that he knew also were Seahawks season ticket holders. When I asked him if he went to any Lions games he just laughed at me. It's not "cool" to say you are going to the Lions game I guess. That was my point though, it wasn't needed before and I even brought up how it seemed to only start in 2011. 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 sold well without the home team involved. I wasn't knocking Winnipeg when I brought up the home team thing and I know it provides a boost, but somethings off with the CFL these days, seems to have started in 2013, when the ratings were on pace for record highs, then IIRC once the 3rd week of September hit, they took a tumble. BC is in big trouble IMO, all the work that Bobby Ackles did there disappeared pretty quickly after his death. 2007 - Riders / Bombers in Cup in TO 2008 - Montreal was playing at home 2009 - Riders in Cup in Calgary 2010 - Riders in Cup in Edmoton 2011 - BC was playing at home These years were either the home team or Riders involved. The Riders in Edmonton or Calgary for regular season games sees quite a spike in attendance.

Which games this year were we embarrassed at halftime? Besides the Hamilton blowout, we were in most games if not leading at some point in the 3rd or 4th quarters.

If the Bombers were playing in the Grey Cup in Winnipeg, the profits and attendance to all functions would be better. The Riders cashed in on that in 2013. Put BC and Hamilton in that game, and the atmosphere the whole week would have been drastically different.

Can we give out participation ribbons too? And not keep score, but decide the game with a coin flip at the end? IMO, if you want to watch a different game, go watch a different game.

I agree, that a loss is a loss in the standings. But if the team is playing hard, in the game for 4 quarters, and has a chance to win at the end, I enjoy the game. Falling down 20 points and then bringing the score close in garbage time is not a game I like to watch.

Disagree. Tim Burke era was the worst. Kneeling down to go to overtime? Hall and Boltus as QBs in the last game? I left the week 19 game at halftime. Halftime. After I drove 2+ hours to come to the game and my dad drove 4+ hours. Left at halftime.

The Jets never played or made the playoffs from 1996 to 2015. The Blue Jays made the playoffs for the first time since 1993 (22 years). What are you trying to say? Should we try to miss the playoffs until 2034?

Wow. Just wow. I came online to read a thread titled about MOS, the Bombers, Noel and/or the Jets only to find fighting, rants, and discussions about McDavid, the Oilers and buying tickets above, at, or below face value in western Canada. Can you guys make your own threads and move your conversations? Or do you need to hug it out?
