  1. How about now? After a close loss to the best team in the league using our 2nd string QB which was acquired 3 weeks ago? My opinion is unchanged on MOS.
  2. My choice for next season is O'Shea.
  3. Did someone say Cronk?
  4. I would keep MOS.
  5. Are you really that surprised? NFL gets $7 Billion a year for all of their TV rights. CFL gets $40 Million per year. They have much more money to pay for talent and production. I can watch every game in the CFL. You can't say that about the NFL (due to scheduled at same time, lack of nationally broadcast games, or cost of NFL pay per view).
  6. "Matthews has such as calmness. It's one of his best qualit... (silence)" as Edmonton intercepts him for a pick 6. Well, that story ended. haha.
  7. How did the Jays play in 1992 and 1993?
  8. I think we can now re-hire Jeff Reinebold.
  9. For those that do not know, Adidas owns Reebok.
  10. Stats that matter: Wins & Losses Nichols is 1 - 0. The rest really doesn't matter. End story.
  11. How hard is it to change the one running play and the three passing plays we have? Well two and 6 if you count flipping the plays...
  12. Argos wore their signature jerseys a couple of weeks ago. Bombers have to one more time as I understand it.
  13. Well Richardson tore his acl so how is he there. I'm guessing Marve picked him up and drove him there. Depending on the leg, it may be hard to drive after ACL surgery. The starting QB from Saturday with a day to day leg injury is much different than a backup D-lineman with a multi-month injury.
  14. If Marve is hurt, did it happen on Monday when he was working at Tim's on Portage Avenue with Louie Richardson? http://twitter.com/Wpg_BlueBombers/status/638760497517498368
  15. 150% this....... Or to put it another way 27,000 or so is a pretty good average attendance for a mino league sports franchise and better than most other teams in the exact same league. east Final vs Hamilton was sold out. Check your facts kid. I apologize. East final was sold out. 2007 semi final vs Montreal was just over 22,000. As for this year's attendance, looking at the east side and end zones from the west side upper deck, the 27,000 average from this year looks quite inflated.
  16. Ridiculous argument. SOME Winnipeggers prefer weekend games. SOME winnipeggers prefer Thurs night games (ie. people who like to camp and have cabins). SOME people don't mind the beer prices hence the huge beer snakes in the endzone. Some do mind therefore they buy water or just go without. You are in a city of nearly 800,000 people so there will be varying opinions. Earth-shattering I know. Winnipeg has the second highest revenues in the league for merchandise sales. What does that say about the other CFL cities? Q: "If they are cheap, they wouldn't have record levels of household debt, would they? " A: NDP, Sellinger, Taxes. Who knows how to spend your hard earned money better than you do? Greg Sellinger. Q: "Winnipeg has the second highest revenues in the league for merchandise sales. What does that say about the other CFL cities?" Our accountants are better (or more honest). Publicly owned teams will report their earnings, privately owned companies may not.
  17. Winnipeggers are cheap. There is no doubt. This isn't a rumour, a stab, or a joke. It's true. They don't like weeknight games, they don't like Fridays, they don't like Saturdays and they don't like Sundays. 8 pm games are too late, but 6:30 pm is way too early. 7pm games have fans, but some like 7:30 better. Beers are too expensive... unless you're building a beer snake. Everyone loves their Bomber gear... at the locker room sale. They want all the sporting events, concerts, entertainment at their fingertips... but man does it look good on their flat screen TV. Even the playoff games of the past have not been attended well... Semi Final vs Edmonton.... East Final vs Hamilton... PS As an out of towner, the biggest stopper to the Grey Cup Tickets are the unavailability of hotel rooms at the moment. Try book a room online right now.
  18. Dear MOS, You've got our team in a playoff spot at the moment. We're playing meaningful games right now. Our 3rd string quarterback did not look out of place with only one 1st team practice under his belt. Why is everyone else complaining?
  19. Well, assuming our guys are healthy, bigger, stronger, faster and younger, I see no problems with our starting lineup.
  20. Mike Kelly with no Jet Package.
  21. Never ever have believed in houseclearing. That guarantees you will not make the playoffs the next season. You bring guys in and may the best talent win - except for the Canadian ratio thing where you don't have to be better. Worked in Hamilton. Cleaned house in 2012 with a 6-12 team including a first year coach and brought in Austin plus several others and the team went 10-8 and made it to the Grey Cup. Went to the Grey Cup last year too. Honestly, some people have these preconceived ideas of how they think things will work out without providing any evidence to back up these preconceptions. I'm not saying the Bombers are due for a housecleaning just yet. Let's see how the season plays out first. No excuses for the team to not win at least one of their next three. I think they have a shot at winning two of the next three personally. It worked? Really? 2nd place is the first loser. Just like Hamilton in 2013 and 2014, we lost Grey Cups in 1992, 1993, 2001, 2007 and 2011. We don't celebrate those years.
  22. I vote Jock Climie for OC. My 2nd pick is Rod Black. Either way, they would be off the air.
  23. Stoudamire has had mistakes and the mistakes have been at the worst possible times. That is why people are complaining.
  24. That was one of the most obvious PI calls all year. Basically the definition of screening Not disputing the call at all, just don't like the punishment of automatic 1st down on the one. Too often It allows teams to score when they can't earn the TD, it's a crutch play used to get them into the endzone. Would rather it be changed to a 10 yd. penalty with auto first down, fair for all and it wouldn't change the results of a game as drastically. If it was a 10 yd penalty, you see more pass interference than less. Anytime a DB would be wbeat they'd tackle the receiver (or screen) and take the 10 yard penalty.
