  1. Seems pretty odd. I assume it's just them talking up the players.
  2. Agree that Brown has won the backup spot. Better accuracy, touch, still plenty mobile. Been impressed. He worked the middle of the field really well for someone with limited experience. It is really weird seeing Bailey out there with a bunch of guys unlikely to make the team.
  3. Mostly that the CFL isn't the top football league, the product and coverage can be bad, sometimes things like rules or reffing. To these folks, who only want to watch "the best," it doesn't matter if there are 7 or 0 Canadians playing. They aren't going to watch and the league is unlikely to draw them in, in my opinion. The CFL should still try to attract new fans obviously, but you also don't want to lose the ones you have.
  4. I know many, many people who aren't fans of the CFL. None of those people complain about the Canadians. To me this would indicate that if you want to attract those fans, you are looking at the wrong problem.
  5. I think the CFLPA royally screwed this up but at the same time I am completely in favour of keeping the Canadian content. I also like it kept simple (no snap percentage) as that makes it easier on casual fans. I very much enjoy watching the best players compete in the NFL but can still enjoy the CFL for what it is. Take away the Canadians and you're left with a weird copy of the USFL and XFL, both of which I have no interest in. I like that our team is run by a bunch of Canadians. Reducing the opportunities for Canadian players has a downstream effect on a lot more than people think.
  6. Yes I was, but again from that first glimpse I wasn't 100% confident. The camera angle was hard to tell if there was air under the ball/hand.
  7. TSN botched the ending for sure. Watching the interception live last night I didn't even celebrate, I thought Rose may have had it touch the turf. Everybody on the field was going nuts and I was waiting for the replay... Don't know how they weren't ready for some big play (from either team) that deep into overtime.
  8. Complete "C"FL on display. Rouges were game-changing. Overtime thrilling. A team down 12 still had a chance to win in the fourth quarter. Sell new fans on the excitement.
  9. I get that we are all Bomber fans and so not completely neutral observers, but there will be no convincing me that pretty much all the TSN media folks were cheering really hard for Hamilton.
  10. Think Osh for sure is in the conversation now. For fans like me, Osh is the greatest Bomber coach ever and it isn't even close. That's what happens when you go through such a long Cup drought.
  11. HOOOOOOOOOOOLY GEEEEEEZE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT
  12. Not sure a FG does anything. Should have gone for it. If you fail they're still pinned deep against the wind. Bad night all around.
  13. Hurts worse than 2001. Buck took the week off planning apparently. Forgot about the rest of our players.
  14. Zach determined to lose this one. Man we need a miracle play.
  15. Collaros likely cost them the game with that point swing. Just doesn't feel like our night.
  16. They've got to adjust for Masoli. I don't think Evans had anything against this defense, but Masoli gives them a better chance.
  17. What a brutal half. Buck wasting most of our possessions trying to run Harris on first down. They look flipping awful on offense and there are no excuses for that. But man, hard not to see this going Hamilton's way now. The fans and TSN sure seem to be rooting for the Cats.
  18. I'm still baffled TSN has five channels (and "bonus" feeds available in their app), and can't put this on one of them. Kudos to all the award winners tonight. Particularly happy for Osh given the work needed to get this team to their current level.
  19. Problem is I think I say this after every game. I have absolutely, positively no faith in the CC.
  20. Playing Hamilton in Hamilton will certainly be a challenge, because neutral observers will default to "it's their turn this time." I expect a few big, soft calls to favour the Cats.
  21. Brutal half when we should have beat them early. Hope they wake up soon because they're lucky to be in the game with this many turnovers.
  22. Bombers sure seem determined to blow it. Need the defense to save us.
  23. These rules make no sense and reflect poorly on the league. Every other league has crafted a policy for this seemingly successfully. Now the TiCats benefit twice from this stupidity. Not only will Toronto start their backup, but their unvaccinated starter can play simply because the game is in Ontario.
  24. CFL product is always going to get dumped on when you see blatant bad calls like that. Refs gave this one to Sask, after Fajardo basically tried to give it away first. League should be embarrassed.
  25. I know gambling is a big deal and all, but I really think TSN does a disservice to the CFL product by making it so much of their gameday coverage. I don't gamble, but I'm not even sure these segments are really all that fun or useful to gamblers. Perhaps I'm wrong.
