  1. I like how Suitor praised Sunseri for "giving the ball" well to Allen just before that.
  2. This is crazy
  3. Frankly I think that giving Pall a shot can't really hurt that much.
  4. Hoping that it isn't terrible. If Willy is out, we are done.
  5. Oh, and cut out this crap meme that the taxpayer gets to be informed of everything and have a say in decisions. I hate when people tell me that. Yes tax dollars went to the stadium, no you do not get to decide how to run the Bombers. At some point Wiecek will probably write that the Bombers should develop a phone app so we can all vote on every play call. 'Cause, you know, TAX DOLLARS and such.
  6. **** the media. This is continual whining and BS and I freaking hope someone from the Bombers tells them to stuff it. Have you guys ever walked by the group of them at camp or practice? They talk amongst themselves, check their phones...and occasionally turn their heads to the field. Better yet, when they do pay attention, half of them aren't able to understand exactly what's going on. I get better reports from MBBers.
  7. Hate this move a lot. Grigsby has improved but he's still far from what I look for at RB. Running from the backfield often puts his weak vision and poor decisions on display. Putting him in space does at least show his speed and cuts. Interested to see if Cotton gets a shot somewhere. Really think he would flourish with full time carries.
  8. I think its going to be fun (and already is) to watch Rider fans say that a QB like Durant isn't important. You know, just ignore all those times when they said he was important.
  9. Saskatchewan is in trouble. Have to think they finish somewhere between 3rd and 5th now.
  10. Strikes me like Wiecek was hoping to get a "sky is falling" narrative to write his article, Osh didn't bite and so Wiecek decided to tell him how he should feel, because as a sports reporter he's qualified to tell professionals what emotions they have.
  11. Money quote from Lysko: "He pays the bills. Great. If that's your criteria for good ownership, that's fine. But I'm not sure it should be good enough for the CFL. That a guy doesn't not pay his bills. There should be a higher level of responsibility in terms of infrastructure and staff. But the league has no leverage to try and correct this situation. (Braley) can do whatever he wants. He's a poor operator. And he's always been a poor operator." Lots of what he said there is what has been said here. Having one person own two teams is more than just poor optics.
  12. Sad to see Suber go. I was always a fan, even if he tapered off a bit last year with the rest of the D. Looks like both teams get what they want and need.
  13. Decent but I was expecting better. After the cool helmets I was looking for more of a splash. Reebok has had some home runs and some strikeouts. This is a double.
  14. Think Henoc is definitely going to make the Colts.
  15. Man having one of those Canadian defensive linemen here would be so flipping awesome.
  16. If he's out I start Sears and JFG over Romby and Sherman. Unfortunately it Romby got (from what I could tell) all the reps at WR with Moore out today.
  17. The second worst part of this (first is him returning for games against us) is that this is now going to be the TSN Talking Point for the game. Glen Suitor might have an orgasm in the booth.
  18. I was at practice today. Saw the injury happen live and was swearing for quite some time. Unamba came in uncontested off the left side on a blitz, Willy went to throw to that side and Unamba jumped up to try and block the ball. Willy hit him on the follow through - personally I couldn't tell if he hit the helmet or he jammed it somewhere in the pads. He was writhing in pain for a couple of minutes on the ground and then got up to have the trainer look at it. At one point the trainer moved it and Willy clearly felt pain again as he pulled away a bit. He was walking around fine and not visibly in pain after about five minutes. Sounds like it isn't too big of a deal now. Hopefully it isn't.
  19. Not a chance they allow this.
  20. I liked Jim Bell (as an outsider, never met him) and wish him all the best. Always hate to see someone lose their job. Still, Wade Miller has really helped this organization. He might very well be a jerk (he's very business oriented, which as positives and negatives), but he's the jerk we need right now. This organization has been a complete and utter mess for a long time. We needed someone who has a strong plan, isn't afraid of changing things and most importantly helps the franchise. I was worried when we initially hired Miller just because our history of going 'back to the past' hasn't worked out well and this franchise needed someone who was going to steer the ship, not sit in the life raft. Miller seems to be that person.
  21. Really like Hamilton's, really LOVE Montreal's. I wish we had gotten a nice one.
  22. I still don't understand why the thinking that it will even out in the end holds water. Of course in an East vs East game someone wins and as a result an East team will finish with a semi-decent record. What this scheduling has shown us is that that team simply isn't likely very good. So what if Montreal beats Ottawa, Hamilton and Toronto once? Beating bad teams does not automatically make you a good one.
  23. Alex Hall is better than Greg Peach, but with that said I'll also note that Peach has been a really, really good lineman this year for us. After seeing him last year I was worried they would keep him only because he 'tries hard' and has a 'high motor.' This year I think he's shown that he's more than just effort.
  24. I liked the idea for "Green is the new Orange", obviously since it plays off the tv show. "Green is the new Blue" is lazy. It doesn't make sense in that it's not witty or funny. They took a good gag and thought they could re-use it, but it doesn't work as well if it's not linked to Orange Is the New Black. I don't really care either way, but if you're going to have some fun with rivals at least make worth the time of reading the billboard.
  25. What is all this talk about Hall not being a great player? Dude was dominant here. I would love to have him back. The whole "not being a run stopper" thing is just a meme that really comes from him being a lean, athletic end. Obviously he's known more for his outstanding pass rush, but I would not classify run-stopping as a weakness for him either. Re: Etch defense. Etch loves versatility and speed. Hall really can only play end here but I think Etch would do wonders with having another dominant pass-rusher with a ton of speed. Would not be surprised to see Hall wind up on occasion dropping into coverage in the flats on designed zone blitzes. Vega-Turner-Thomas/Anderson-Hall? Sign me up.
