  1. The unknown that is Miles >>>> Etcheverry
  2. I hope Jay Detain makes the special teams tackle after he punts it.
  3. I was expecting things to move quicker. As it is I really want to get Miles or whoever it is in place, we still have some positional spots open too that will need filling.
  4. I like to imagine you as an impulse driver... Nah, just wearing my heart on my sleeve. I think all of us had looked forward to Stubler as our DC & now he's in Calgary.... Huge letdown. Well you did go from the 'excitement with the O'Shea hire' to 'mediocrity continues' in the span of a few seconds once this decision came in. Just saying...there's probably an in-between state that you could reach. I don't think any of us are happy to lose out on Stubler. Not sure that condemns us to the gloomy picture you apparently are envisioning.

  6. Twitter is just giving us the usual names...I think I am giving my vote to Barron Miles. Wasn't it rumored that Washington wanted to pull him over to BC, even if it was a lateral move?
  7. Phew. Crisis averted on that one.
  8. I'd be down with that. Has it been reported anywhere? Still, must admit I will be a little disappointed now in both coordinator hires.
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  10. Really hoping O'Shea can really sell our own FAs and some other ones to sign here. Getting Turner back is great. Also happy to see DeAngelis go. I am confident O'Shea will figure out our special teams. Maybe the years of having comical special teams will finally be over.
  11. I'd sure hope so. "We're gonna follow the Crowton plan" probably wouldn't be the best opening line.
  12. Right now I am really hoping we can land Collaros and Willy. It would be hard to pull off since I doubt Willy wants to move to another backup spot (though he could be sold on stepping in if Collaros sucks). I was hoping Nichols would hit FA but now our options are slowly shrinking.
  13. Ya we are VERY Canadian so far.
  14. The guy spent years as a CFL QB working under many different offensive coordinators, he has spent time as a qb coach presumably working with still more offensive coordinators including on of the best just this past year in Cortez. That to me is a guy who has seen enough different perspectives on offense in the CFL to not be tied to any one thing. Here's the thing with Khari, I want him back just cause he's a Bomber not a ******* Rider. Get him back where he belongs. Yeah he might not end up being a great offensive coordinator, but then again he might be, where as Bellefool has a lot of past experiences with the job to look at and say "not very impressive at all" Two points I guess I have: Re: CFL QB experience. It's a dangerous game to put that much emphasis on that. The easy example is that Gretzky was a terrible choice. Even if I ignore that thinking, his experience isn't likely that much of a differentiating factor from other players like Maas or Marcus Brady, for example, and I could make the argument that both were more cerebral players than Khari even though Khari was the far better QB than either of them. Re: Bomber/Rider. Personally I just want to win football games. I want the coaches here to be ones that give the team the best chance of achieving that goal. Hiring Bomber legends is not likely to lead to success if you base their resumé on their playing days here.
  15. There is one more thing I've been thinking about... For those that want Khari: his experience (and only years of leading an offense) were under MB. So basically, if you want Khari, why would you not want MB? You could make a fairly strong argument I think that MB taught Khari quite a bit, so much like how Stubler is viewed as the veteran teacher for the defense, MB could be the veteran teacher for the offense. Basically we hired the teacher and not the pupil. Now personally I thought Khari's resumé was pretty darn thin and was hoping for some wildcard candidate over both of them, but I'm not sure how we get Khari >> MB or even Khari > MB.
  16. I like that we have an experienced mind on the offensive side of the ball now, but experience is only good if it comes with proven success too. This is probably the first Bomber offseason move I disagree with.
  17. Here's to hoping this isn't true...
  18. I think we made out okay today. Without seeing the lists it was hard to know what to expect. I'll miss Miles the most, I think he could be really, really good. Losing Green is a laugher and Kohlert stings but it wasn't some major hit. I would expect Etienne to re-sign here, plus Walters knows Canadian talent. I have confidence we will handle the ratio well this year.
  19. How will we recover from this devastating loss? Who will decide heads or tails at the coin toss? Shoot we're never gonna know which one to call.
  20. So disappointed we lost Miles, I think we probably protected a few more defensive guys and just gambled that no one wants people from our craptacular offense. Ottawa did well at QB, Glenn and DeMarco are a solid 1-2 as veteran-young'un. I would say we are in prime position to get Collaros still.
  21. I wonder who is our Plan B...
  22. What else would have preferred him to do in this short time? We can only judge him on his actions. Right now the sample size is small, but it is positive.
  23. I thought it was a pretty good listen. I am just really, really curious to see them round out the staff.
