Where's Sam Canadian.. I miss his enthusiasm.

Well I find it much easier to insult and attack posters if I don't know them. Soooooooooo.......

To be totally fair, you had the benefit of actually being there, as opposed to pretending to be there.

Cotton had a fumble yesterday, but other than that I thought he looked great. Looked like he was running with a purpose...running angry. You don't agree with that? But how did he look in the jet package?
-
Huh? he is choosing to sit out on his own since he want to be 100% Your reality and mine are very different. what don't you understand? lol like are you serous. Its ridiculous to think that a player, a draftee no less, is sitting himself out so that he is 100% for the season and has already made the team. No.. no he has not made the team yet, he may have a leg up as he is CDN and was drafted, but the team is not goign to keep him around if he isn't able to play.

complete and utter horseshit. Experience teaches people how to react better under pressure LOL I was going to comment on Resurrection's post.... But this pretty much sums it up.Experience doesn't come in 5-10 games. Do the Bombers wait it out and continue to pay willy 400k next season if he is progressing slowly this year? My worry has been that over paying willy before he is a proven commodity may force us to cut him due to Salary concerns vs letting him grow more at a lower wage.Regardless I'm not upset we signed him long term, I'm just hoping his wage doesn't force him to be cut if he plays at a Kevin Glenn + level year year or next. Which, to me, is still a large win since we haven't had a consistent (maybe) since Glenn

complete and utter horseshit. Experience teaches people how to react better under pressure Experience in the same situations lets you process things easier in the future. Not sure you can teach experience. Confidence in yourself plays a bigger role in making better decisions on the fly. If you are unsure of what you are doing then it's too late. That my experience though and I'm not sure if that applies to football.

Multiple 2015 CFL Combine Participants Failed Drug Tests
Adrenaline_x replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I find this interesting. You think they would have their cycles figured out so it would be out of their systems before the combine. -
Thanks for amusing me while pooping.

So far there is only some evidence that willy is better then any QB we've had here since 2008. We haven't won more then 7 games since 2008(I think). Soooo. I dunno. Over paying for an average Qb so that we don't possibly lose him but might have to cut if his salary is too high if he is only and average qb ( which is still better then we've had). Give him boost in base pay and then back fill with incentives. If meeting completion %, TDs,int, yard, wins, goals he gets a bonus and maxes out at 400-500k great. Little risk and great rewards. Less reward for willy, but if he believes he is an elite qb and will have a great couple of years then it's a win for him. You don't pay 120k for a crown Victoria hoping or believing it's going to transform into a jaguar becuase u upgrade the rims, tires and intake (ol, receivers, coaching)
-
I don't agree with paying willy 4-500K and cutting him if he doesn't play like an elite QB. It either is he plays at an elite level and we are happy or he doesn't play at an elite level and we are force to cut him/renegotiate. What if he plays like a Danny Mac, or Kevin Glenn level for us? Better then all the QBs we've had since Glenn but not in the top 4 for QBs in the league? do we cut him because we are overpaying him? Do we try and Renegotiate his contract to pay him less and he walks like Lefors did? I'm all for paying him a mid-tier base QB contract (250-350k) that makes sense if he is above servicable like Glenn etc, but will incentives that lets him get paid 400-500k like a top tier QB is he plays lights out? I think by paying him elite qb level money might force our hand to cut him if he turns out to be better then all the rest we've fielded in the past but isn't playing like burris, tate, ray, lulay? There is nothing saying we can't succeed with a Kevin glenn type QB that contributes enough to help the team win without having to carry the team on his own..
-
Maybe burris money with performance goals? Start all 18 = bonus. Win 12-14 games = bonus. If he plays at a level with the league elite then pay him like an elite starter. If he's a mid tier incentives/bonuses should reflect that. I would like avoid risking him to free agency or and possibly locking him up long term. If he doesn't reach the potential we all think he's has then we cut him when someone takes his place. I'm think Sam Canadian can make a come back still no? But if we can also sign Ricky Ray why wouldn't we do that? Maybe willy as a number two (doubt he would settle). As for lulay, baring an incredible comeback I think his days are numbered with the shoulder injuries.

OL has been such a trouble spot for the past 4 years i'm thinking they will be going OL for pick number 2. What was our biggest issue last year? Willy was getting beaten (heheh) because the OL was letting guys through instantly and he had very little time to setup and throw the ball or find an open receiver. If we have the best Recieving core but no time to throw to them it doesn't matter. If you have the best oline but no star recievers, well the reciever are still going to get open or make a play maybe not as easily as a Star reciever.. if not you throw to one of the other 4-5 recievers on the field and trade, draft a receiver next year. Picard is aging and will need to be replaced in the next year(s) so we better have someone to take his place. My thoughts anyhow.

I thought crouton, LAPO and mike kelly were great offensive minds. Not so much if u don't have the talent or all the coaches. Since buck is the RB coach wouldn't he have some input into which RB takes the field.

HA!I appreciate anyone who puts training camp reports up, but you sir, give the impression that this is SRS BSNS and get uppity when someone else gets more credit than you do. Definitely comes across as attention and approval seeking. For me it's all about giving credit where credit is due. That's how I am at work and it's very much appreciated by my subordinates, colleagues and my supervisors. It's not about seeking approval or attention. Different environment here I guess...which is seeking approval... how you not grasping that? Credit where credit is due is not the same as seeking approval. If he was posting solely for stature or perceived stature amongst over posters or to be accepted as part of a group then perhaps you could say he was seeking approval. But giving credit is different. Giving him credit for his had work writing and posting his reports of tc etc is different. He puts in a lot of effort to share with other people and does it for the community and not for himself. I for one would be sad to lose out on these reports because all chest pumping that goes on here a lot of the time. Appreciate the fact that gbill, mike and other contribute to this group in ways that other members like myself can't and let it go. anyways.. back today lurking... It's a ******* internet message board, if you need credit for anything you are seeking approval plain and simple. Some people around these parts definitely get off on trying to be seen as important. It's akin to having a conversation in a group and asking everyone for credit for a comment that you made. You see how shallow and ridiculous it is? It is an Internet forum, but you are pretty active on here which suggests that you find the core group of posters as friends and take pleasure in being here and discussing whatever topic is up for debate. You are getting something out of this and aren't here just because. You, I would argue, get off on arguing whatever it is you are for or against, and I've seen you flip flop just to argue against someone else. But none of this changes that seeking approval and seeking credit are two different things. If you can't see that then that's unfortunate for as I'm guessing you tend to get locked into one world view and have a hard time adjusting that as new info come up. That's cool, but it doesn't make you right. Seeking approval from you peers is not the same thing as seeking credit for your contribution. One is seeking validation from a group of your self worth. the other is seeking realization for the work you have done

Looks like he dropped out to take care of his Kid and then had another kid. If he has the speed and skills to make the Team as a reciever/returner than great! If not, then he can move onto to another team/something else.

400M is better then any professional football player in any league heheheheh

I wish that were true but no, it will not be positive simply for the fact that Dallas doesn't have to account for him in their game plan. nahnar nahnar nahnar. I was right.. heheheh

Our post seasons chance seem to be getting meeker every day. Wheeler hasn't be doing much, sooo... Maybe having him out will be a positive.

I think LAPO was a good coach with a horrible cast of players to play with.. Even with that, he managed to take the team to the greycup with a broken down Qb, a weak oline, and a good defence. The team cratered after lapo was removed, and Burke didn't do anything with the same cast of players... We finally looked like perhaps we are on an uptrend, AFTER changing the GM, The whole Coaching staff and a bunch of players including the QB. So.. I think Lapo is a good Coach and did well considering what and who he had to work with.
