I completely disagree. Nichols made the reads and scrambled on atleast the one TD after the pocket collasped and extended the play. Nichols put the ball where the defence wasn't. Rielly did as well but missed recievers/open players.

I would argue that Nichols won us the game more then anything else. He was accurate, and threw for 3 TDs. he Barely missed Mr Whitehead by a foot? My biggest take away from the game is that we went deep multiple times with great success.

I agree, but i bought into them sucking last year and came in second on the backs of the defense. i always think they will be bad, so this year i'm thinking they will be pretty good, just so that they suck. Logic you can't dispute.

i'll give ripper a pass on most things as he adds to the disccussioon vs some of the circle jerking that goes around sometimes. I also respect that he supports his team with 6 season ticket seats.

BUT HE WAS THE GREATEST DEFENSIVE MIND OF ALL TIME. Too bad he gutted the team but did have more success with the defense then i expected last year. In All seriousness, when the 3 of the 9 teams in the league are having issues getting fans to attend games or making a profit, i think a salary cap is a necessary mechanism to keep the league alive. Its also why i really like the idea of CFL 2.0 with getting internation viewers to tune into games, increasing viewership is one of the main ways to increase stagnant revenue.

I hope they finally take a few steps back, but each year, they seemingly manage to stay strong regardless of who comes and goes.. Huffer, Dickenson and BLM seem to have a bag of magic.. or.. The rest of the league just sucks.

looking at Rider fans alot of them have a realistic view of the west.. and a few are out to lunch putting the bombers at the bottom and out of the playoffs. Now the bombers may not be world beaters this year with O-line changes but i'm not sure how they figure the additions of jefferson, mathews, whitehead et all aren't going to offset some of those losses.. While the Riders lost their " greatest defensive mind the cfl has ever seen" while losing jefferson and still relying on macadoodoo and Carlost. Maybe they suprise us and the offence improves enough to offset the drop in the defense but, the defense is what won them games. BC Could be really good with Reilly if their O-line can provide alot more time then they did in Edmonton. Not sure about edmonton and Harris. Calgary looks to be just as good as years past. I think Hamilton does really well and will wait to see what happens with the rest.

I think this rings true. Strevler came in straight out of college and took over the #2 without ANY pro Experience so Bennet was kept as the number three. With Nichols being hurt before the season started its possible Bennet was kept as security incase Nichol's injury was longer term instead of releasing Bennet last year. This Year another College kid without ANY pro experience came in and played as well as Bennett. I would think you would keep the new kid with limited playbook and onfield experience if he has the same grasp of the game as the 3rd year/string Vet. I liked what i saw from Bennet this year and assumed we would keep him over Mcquire, BUT, and its a big BUT, Maybe the bombers are finally recruiting future CFL QBs like Calgary/BC have been doing for seemingly ages? I can dream anyhow.

As much was i would love to see impeachment proceedings start, i don't see it happening. The REP hold the senate and aren't going to vote to impeach. All the REP house and senate members are a disgrace. They are locked on that this is a DEM vs REP issue, when its really A REP and DEM vs a Corrupt President issue. The Reps need to realize that trump is corrupt and made many different attempt to obstruct justice and let him burn on his own. Purging trump before the next election is their best chance for redemption. But i hope they go down in flames like the morally corrupt tire fire they are.
