  1. Edmonton BC Creative thinking to get more fans in the stadiums...
  2. AWESOME...or Some AWE
  3. Did You Know... Yeah, but who doesn’t get a field named after them? Like moi. Ok, maybe a draining ditch culvert isn’t the same thing, but you know what I mean...
  4. AND Last Saturday’s XFL debut on ABC, featuring the Seattle Dragons at the Defenders, generated 3.3 million average viewers. The reduction from one Saturday to the next at the same starting time (2:00 p.m. ET) amounts to 1.173 million. That equates to a slippage of 35.5 percent. On Sunday of Week One, the ABC/ESPN game was televised by ESPN, and it drew 2.5 million viewers. The Week Two Sunday game experienced less of a dip, by 103,000 viewers and 4.12 percent. However, broadcast TV usually generates a much higher audience than cable; thus, it’s fair to assume the audience would have been smaller if the Week Two Sunday game had been televised by ESPN — and that the audience would have been larger if the Week One Sunday game had been televised by ABC. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/02/18/xfl-ratings-dip-on-abc-in-week-two/
  5. Awe. What a cute signing..
  6. No. It’s his choice. Some May call it the D.D. factor...
  7. No way. Keep them on offence.
  8. We did know this.. The Bomber culture keeps on growing. We know it. We hear it all the time. But I still like hearing about it. Here’s Josh Johnson and his take... “I had a few offers… I was talking with Calgary, with Winnipeg and still in contact with Edmonton,” said Johnson in a conversation from his offseason base in Florida. “But talking to different guys around the league and the guys who play in Winnipeg and they were all talking about the organization and how it changes you as a player, about how much they loved playing there.“I know they have a great coach and playing against Coach O’Shea and seeing how he coaches makes you want to play for him. Being a small league you hear so many different stories about playing for different teams. A lot of it is from coaches and when you are around guys who understand the game it makes you want to be a part of it. Talking to so many guys, it had me stuck on coming to Winnipeg.“Plus,” Johnson added with a chuckle, “I already know it’s a good decision because I’ve had so many people welcome me to Winnipeg. It’s really been ridiculous the response from fans, different players and they’re all telling me I’m going to love being there.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/02/17/already-know-good-decision-johnson-looking-make-winnipeg-football-home/?utm_source=dlvr.it
  9. Exactly. A Walker and a runner. That would be nice..
  10. Really? If you have options...you look at them. The option they tried, Collaros, is a veteran. It only made sense. That doesn’t preclude McGuire not playing well if he had to go in. It was a bold move that worked out well for us at a time we needed it. Nobody knows how McGuire would have done, or will do now, but there is a belief in him. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
  11. C’mon. What better time for CFL 2.0 than now in the year 2.02.0
  12. Derek - get out of Saskatchewan now, before it’s too late. You were way off base with your earlier power rankings and it hasn’t gotten any better if you’re seriously picking Saskatchewan to be the top team in the CFL Derek, run, run now, and never wear green again.. EARLIER... AND NOW.. There’s more...
  13. Now you’re talking BC.. No better deal in the city of Vancouver than this. A family of 4 can watch pro sports for under $70!!!! This is a promo I was waiting for. This allows families to go to a game without blowing their entire entertainment budget. Well done BCLions. #CFL - Eric Edlund
  14. Seems about how things have gone so far..
  15. What was amazing was first seeing Whitehead and his ability to change directions instantly at pretty close to full speed. You don’t see that kind of ability too often. And even more amazing was the non-use of such speed and agility. Hitting Whitehead on short passes, at a standstill, was perplexing. There was not enough plays that showed the speed and prowess. If a player has certain abilities...use them to your advantage!
  16. Star receiver Derel Walker doesn’t care if CFL general managers say all the money is spent. Walker wants his view of value on the next contract he signs. However, TSN’s Farhan Lalji reports Walker’s ‘side still may not fully grasp the realities of the new free agent market. $280,000 last year. $2??,??? this year. https://3downnation.com/2020/02/13/receiver-derel-walker-may-not-fully-grasp-the-realities-of-the-new-cfl-free-agent-market-report/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  17. Roh to the Boatmen eh? I’m happy for him.
  18. I’m ok. It’s firmly entrenched in my memory banks...
  19. What are the other 8 teams saying about Jefferson?
  20. I like the Antigha signing. It’s right along the lines of how the Bombers approach re-stocking. The guy is young, experienced, and versatile. Just how the Bomber defence likes them..
  21. Willie writes... These last few days have been incredible for me and my family. But being back here in Winnipeg now, it just feels right. The relationships I’ve built with the guys who have been here for a while really do matter to me. Guys like Andrew Harris, Nik Demski, Paddy Neufeld, Stan (Bryant), Yosh (Jermarcus Hardrick), Darvin (Adams), Jackson (Jeffcoat), Thomas Miles, Bigs (Adam Bighill), Meddy (Justin Medlock), Remp (Chad Rempel)… those guys played a key role in my coming back because they made me feel comfortable here from Day 1.Coach O’Shea made me feel very comfortable when I first got here last year, too. He told me he wasn’t trying to change who I am or put me in a box and ask me to be a robot. Coach Richie (Hall) was the same. He wanted me to learn the system, but be the player I am and be the baller I am. I felt like I did that, especially having Bigs and Jackson behind me. I wanted to be a vocal leader for the team and try to help make my teammates better. In the end, it just felt wrong to leave that. This is what I’m out here for: I’m here to win games, be a part of the community, help my organization and help players grow as men and athletes. I’m an open book to my teammates. They can come talk to me whenever about anything. I’ve been through a lot of things. I’ve grown as a man, as a husband, as a father, as a mentor and as a coach. We’ve built something here in Winnipeg. I’m building something here in Winnipeg.Again, why would I want to leave that and start over? This is where I want to be.https://www.bluebombers.com/2020/02/13/words-willie-jefferson/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter - Willie Jefferson
