Did You Know.. Saskatchewan and Winnipeg have met 14 times before in the playoffs (in either single game or multi-game series) and the count is an even split at 7 wins each to date. Their most recent meetings were in the 2018 and 2003 West Semi-Finals. ___________________________________________________________________________________________Ranking last in passing and getting to a Division Final is rare as Winnipeg has done in 2019. The previous team? Toronto in 2010 Winnipeg tied for #1 for avg drive start position at their own 38-yd line and #1 having opponents start at just their own 33-yd line(The Bombers have won the field position battle in 15 of their 19 games including the S-Final) Winnipeg specialized in making explosive plays. Of the Bombers' 45 TD drives, 21 of them (47%) had a 20+ rush/30+ pass The Bombers gained 41% of their total passing and rushing yards on the ground. Next most? Montreal at 32%. SSK was 30%. The Riders had the best Team Pass Efficiency Rating at 101.6 and had the fewest INTs with 11 (2nd-lowest in club history) The Bombers ranked #1 in keeping teams out of 2nd-&-short - 85% of Oppt 2nd Down Conversion chances were in 4+ yards Pass Knockdowns: Saskatchewan had 44 compared to #1 Winnipeg with 77 (the 3rd-highest total in CFL history) Winnipeg had the highest % of their punts "Outside the Numbers" with 66 of 107. They were #2 in Net punting. Saskatchewan also dominated 2nd Dn Conversions. They ranked #2 at 50% and were better than the opposition in 13 of 18 games Saskatchewan had the fewest 2-&-Outs with only 76 and ranked #1 at 7.25 yards per play on 1st down. Winnipeg's Red Zone rankings were the best combination in the CFL - #2 on Offence at 67%, #2 on Defence at 54% Saskatchewan led the CFL with 56 Sacks Made. They had more Sacks than their opponents in 12 out of 18 games Saskatchewan led the CFL allowing 294 yards/gm - their best result since 1988 (276/gm). They have been #1 two years in a row Winnipeg drew the fewest Penalties in the CFL at 7.1 per game, 57 fewer penalties than Saskatchewan. Despite having the fewest penalties, Winnipeg drew the most Def. Pass Interference calls with 12 and ICR calls with 14. Saskatchewan set a club record with just 25 Turnovers - that total is tied for #3 all-time lowest in CFL history. _________________________________________________________________________

It might just all be a name change from The Extra Point to “Go For Two Points When The Situation Calls For It.”...and how to fit that name in...
-
Booked it. And I got the last one...
-
Seems like that is already in the works..

September 6th 2017. Fake injuries? Nah, a professional football team would never do that...

New material on the market: Strevelon. Guaranteed tough. Takes a pummelling and keeps on rumbling. Wrinkle free. Tumble dries. Comes with a warning about handling only with one’s arms. Eats up time and space, and is very efficient in small areas. Makes everything around it look better. Read the directions carefully. Missed directions is always a common offshoot. Economical too. Running mostly on nickels. Can be changed to work in other quarters. Limited time offer...

Hesitant throwing motion...wouldn’t take much to disrupt it. Cannot see it..

It truly sounds impractical. I think the Bomber brass have a good idea about the validity of this ludicrous release.
-
No, we’re not on the same page. My last sentence was not a statement. Our QBs were Streveler and McGuire. There was no Collaros. I’m not so sure they could have pulled off the same record. You’re not giving credit where credit Is due. Nichols was the QB for those games, and won them. I’m not a big Nichols fan but he did perform/execute to help those weaker teams post those records. That’s my statement.
-
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you imply that Nichols benefited from playing such weak teams? Maybe any of our QBs could have won those games by that logic then?
-
So, you’re saying he didn’t have a part in winning the games against the opponents before him?
-
It’s no wonder they play that damn 7-11 commercial so often.
-
Thanks to Nichols, who, in no small part, helped win, what, 7 games out of our 11?
-
I’m glad you can see it because I see little difference in a scenario where it’s impossible to say that.
-
Maybe this is why TEP bluebombers.com is having a “closed to the fans” week...
-
i think I remember seeing something promoted along those lines. Gaitor aid was it?

You all need to apologize to Paul LaPolice.

Follow the bouncing ball. I’m talking one game. And who says they have to. I’m not exactly a LaPo LoVer, but when he swings and hits a home run, it should be acknowledged. -
Did You Know.. Calgary converted just 33 per cent of their second-down opportunities (6-of-18) When the Blue Bombers travel to Regina for next week’s West Final, it will be the first time the clubs meet in the West Final since 1972 Rider fans really wanted to see Zach Collaros in the Western Final this year.. ..only not with an opposing team. The Bombers limited Calgary to just 207 yards of net offence, including just 116 yards through the air. 👁🗨 Hell, I remember some games where the opposition had that at the half.Chris Streveler took 23 snaps and did not even attempt to throw a pass in Sunday's #CFL West semifinal. He ran 13 times for 82 yards. When was the last time anyone saw a stat-line like that for a quarterback? Zach Collaros took 36 snaps and threw for 193 yards.

Slight exaggeration there. Bad punt..cheap penalty and we were down 7. Then teams traded 2 and outs. Then blah, blah, blah! We get a FG and safety 5-7 is the score after a Quarter and a half. Calgary TD Bomber FG (they still count) 8-14 Halftime. Then the 2nd half was ours. So, not so bad eh? -

Ah grasshopper, good results are often the reward for patience, deception and Paulfoolery. It’s called setting up your opponent. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and voila, the big picture becomes more evident. -
Well, it wouldn’t start with a Beeeee
-
If the Bombers can be only half as focused on getting the job done as you are focused on complaining about us not getting the job done, then we will stride out of there with a victory...easy peasy. 🤭 🙃
-
Collaros or Nichols can put the vet in our offence. Streveler puts in the ran.

The defence created that situation. Mitchell knew it wasn’t going to Bo*de well for him. He didn’t execute. He panicked.
