When your nickname starts with a “no”...
-
I wouldn’t say that exactly. It’s just if you have a chance to acquire a veteran backup, for a pretty reasonable price, do you not look into it? What if it turns out we do need him? It’s a flip of picks. Doubtful that it goes beyond that. Veteran presence. All the rest of it may never come in play..

No time to fret..it’s just insurance.

I cannot think of a worse time to consider LaPolice as our future Head Coach..
-
Collaros over Franklin..including bubble wrap. At least Collaros can play QB.
-
Run and shoot me?
-
This is what Streveler could evolve into..just not under LaPolice. If they go after Masoli, it better not be with LaPo still on the staff.
-
I thought you wanted no Police involvement..

Whoa there. Are you insinuating that he is consciously calling the games he is because of being disgruntled? While I don’t stand behind OC when it comes to play calling, I don’t agree with your insinuation. That would be noticed and his future in the game would be in jeopardy. The man has integrity, he’s just a bit out of his element, dated, and mired in his own thinking. For all his understanding of the game, he lacks the ability to actually “see” the game.

In Montreal? What will we see in this duel? A duo doing a dual running job on an expectant defence? Nah, that would be smart football.
-
First a pass and drop to Demski. But Adams whiffed badly on a pass from Streveler that would have gotten a first down. This was a bad way to start the game and was foreboding.

It is LaPo. Don't you think a competent OC would actually know that Saskatchewan would plan a way to stop Streveler.. and that he would preplan some counter measures in anticipation? He didn’t. He played right into Sask.’s plans and made no adjustments when he did see it. Hell, if you see some guy spying, you throw to where the spy guy vacated. “it's on Streveler to make use of the tools at his disposal to move the offence. He couldn't do it.” It’s up to LaPo to provide those tools. He’s the master of the morning isn’t he? Thanks to this plain-Jane yogurt offence we still don’t know about Streveler because he wasn’t given much of a chance. Streveler, square peg into a round hole game plan.

Ridiculous..

I was wondering the same thing. My Head Coach has to do better than signing off on a “LaPolice Offence” simply because “he’s a good Coach”. Look at the game plan for goodness sakes. It looks to me like Saskatchewan sent it over. The ‘keep Streveler’ in the pocket theme’ was executed perfectly. In other words “stifle the two-pronged running game we had” that was so successful. My suggestion would have been to keep running it until it was stopped..with a few misdirections thrown in. Oh, and throw to receivers who are moving, you know like other teams do..with success. But really, what’s the point now? LaPolice won’t change unless a Head Coach shows up. (I’m talking to you Mikey)
-
You admit that, but yet you degrade a somewhat rookie QB?!?
-
With an offence designed the way it is, we will not be able to determine what we have in receivers until LaPo is gone.
-
I’m reserving any judgment on our QB situation until they get rid of the O.C. He is making a mockery of how to run an offence. Everybody talks how stubborn O’Shea is, but barely mention that LaPo thinks everything he does is right, and the way to a successful outcome is to stick with his game plans, even though it’s painfully obvious that what he plans does not work. Trying to turn Streveler into what LaPo wants in a QB as opposed to using his assets, is beyond asinine. Play into his strong points and let the opposition try and stop him. Instead we see exactly what opposing teams want...Streveler in the pocket. Turn him loose, let him have fun again. How frustrating it must be for the players on offence to know what they can do, as opposed to what they are being told to do, and knowing full well..it’s not working. We don’t use our weapons...that’s what sad.
-
Good gawd..the D did come to play..
-
It’s not Streveler.
-
It’s not Streveler.

Can’t wait for LaPo’s new book coming out shortly on how to neuter an offence..
-
If it wasn’t for the defence, we would be in serious trouble. You’re looking on the wrong side of the ball.
-
Mat for the w, as in what is going on with this guy?

Great, now use him!
