  1. I hear what you’re saying, but, this is Streveler we’re talking about. The running is a part of his game. As he gains more experience he may cut back on the running but, how can you take away part of his weaponry? It just wouldn’t work at this time.
  2. D.Y.K. Last week, Winnipeg became the first team in our 'Possession/Drive Chart Data Era' to score a TD on their first 4 drives (2005-2019). *The total margin of Winnipeg's 4 losses is just 12 points with defeats by 8, 1, 2 & 1 points in 2019.
  3. Chris Streveler scored 3 TDs last week giving him 12 and a single-season WPG record for a QB. Old record: 11, Matt Dunigan 1993. (Streveler is now just 2 TDs short of the CFL record for a QB of 14 set in 1991 by Doug Flutie and tied last year by James Franklin). These aren’t just stats. They’re a vital part of why our offence has been so productive, leading to success, and success usually comes from having good stats. That must mean good stats are good. I’m so confused.. 🤔
  4. I believe I read that Neufeld graded out 3rd over the last couple of years on our O-Line..
  5. Tendency. I’m certain that’s a play call. Run the ball up the middle, on a stacked defence for ten, then see if we can do it again after no gain.
  6. You’re missing the point..
  7. It isn’t a team thing involving yardage and averages. This is a 2nd year player trying to assert himself and prove his worth. This is exactly the kind of progress we want to see from our “back up” QB. Totally different.
  8. It’s nice to see Chris Streveler at the very top of the QB Accuracy grades in week 15 https://www.cfl.ca/2019/09/24/accuracy-grades-target-week-15/
  9. CFL Headlines Head CFL official admits referees erred by failing to eject Vernon Adams Jr.: The CFL’s director of officiating admitted Vernon Adams Jr. should have been tossed from the game for his helmet swing at Adam Bighill. “It’s a miss. Although it can’t be confirmed, through any source, there was mention of allowing the games the Bombers play, to be two 1st halves played consecutively. No 2nd halves involved. I really do forget who mentioned it.
  10. I’d like to see us take more chances on offence because, playing safe, hasn’t really worked out for us.
  11. I don’t want see that kind of failure again in the last minutes. From the offence, or the defence. I don’t see monumental failure like that collapse from good teams. Can we not just use 9 DBs to actually prevent big plays? I can envision a 3-9 package rotating our nose tackles and DEs to keep them fresh and to keep the opposing team’s guessing. Rotating 6-7 guys up front definitely would cause confusion for the opposing teams because they seemed to have figured out how we deploy as it is now. I don’t pretend to know the answer, but it certainly seems, after a few tries, that our team doesn’t either.
  12. Fans should listen to the interview itself for the full context.
  13. So, when do we hear from the CFL that perhaps something more should have been called when Adams went a little berserk on Bighill...with a weapon? Wednesday? Thursday? Tuesday?
  14. How can we..when we feel the same way.
  15. For all the brilliance shown in play diversity in the first half, we switched to anti-first down mode, especially in the 4th quarter. We, as fans, cannot understand how the Coaching staff cannot see...with their own eyes, that the plays called at the end of the game, don’t work. Dammit. Get mad. Make this work. Cause if you do, we will be very hard to beat.
  16. Stomp. That’s what we did. We stomped. Unfortunately, we lost. But once we figure out the end game, who’s going to beat us? No one. The first half was about as dominant and varied and controlling as you can put out. And it was Streveler who performed. I’m not disappointed with that effort at all. The result? Yes, but not the overall game. It wasn’t an elimination game. We’re going on. We got it..
  17. 8 of the most ridiculous (and below average) words, that I’ve read on here.
  18. “Absolutely, he’s innocent” “I’ve been around him a long time. I see how much he works. I know how many times he’s been tested. That’s pretty easy to stand behind him for those reasons,” O’Shea continued. O’Shea said he paid no attention to Bowman’s comments. -https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/andrew-harris-is-innocent-bombers-head-coach-oshea-vehemently-states/wcm/460dc74c-f82f-455d-96c1-571dae783714 Coach knows..
  19. It changes from week to weak..
  20. DYK “I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that really before,” Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea was saying this week. What he’s never seen before is two members of the same special teams unit tied for the CFL lead in tackles. It’s happening right now, with Bombers teammates Mike Miller and Kerfalla Exume tied atop the list with 18 special teams takedowns apiece. Miller recently passed O’Shea on the all-time list and now sits third with 178 special teams tackles, six back of Bombers president and CEO Wade Miller (no relation). He needs 12 more tackles to tie the all-time record, held by former B.C. Lion Jason Aragki. Ted Wyman, Wpg. Sun Special Teams..Special Difference
  21. With a win the Bombers can reach 10+ wins for a 4th straight year - they have not accomplished that in 32 years (1984 to 1987). - Winnipeg has won the last 5 times they have played Montreal and each of their last 3 visits to Molson Stadium. - The Bombers' 9-3 .750 record through 12 games matches their best mark at that point since 2003 (9-3 in 2017 as well). - Montreal has now gone 5 games in a row without scoring a point off of an Opponent Turnover. - Winnipeg has created a field position edge in 10 of their 12 games this year starting on average at their own 38 (#1 in CFL). - The Bombers have been strong starters - they are +112 in the 1st half of games in 2019, and a modest +15 in the 2nd half. - The Alouettes have allowed the fewest 1st Quarter points with just 34 in 11 games (4 OPPT TDs). - Montreal is 6-3 in their last 9 games - their 3 losses have all been by 7 points or less (7, 3 & 2-point deficits). Non-Tackle Defensive Play Leaders - Willie Jefferson leads by far in combination of actions that disrupt Opponent Offences - In Chris Streveler's start vs Montreal last year, he led Winnipeg to a 56-10 victory with 246 passing yards and 3 TDs. - Andrew Harris returns and needs 92 yards rushing to reach 1,000 for the 3rd straight season (that would be a career-best streak). - Vernon Adams Jr. has set a Montreal for TDs by a Quarterback with 11 in 2019. - Montreal QB Starters Since 2016 - Vernon Adams 9-4 .692; All 8 Other Starting QBs 13-39 .250 - Eugene Lewis - First 7 games: 17 catches for 243 yds, 0 TDs; Last 4 games: 26 for 374 yds, 3 TDs. - DeVier Posey - First 7 games: 9 catches for 100 yds; Last 4 games: 23 for 389 yds, 9 catches for 2nd down conversions. - Mike Miller is now by himself at #3 all-time with 178 ST Tackles and trails Wade Miller by 6 for the #2 spot. - John Bowman (130) is one Sack away from passing Vince Goldsmith (130.5) for #6 all-time. - Justin Medlock passed Gerry Organ moving up to #15 A/T (1,474 pts). He has made 100 consecutive converts from 32 yds. ______________________________________________________________________________ -Game Notes

The last team to go 4 in a row w/o a Sack? Hamilton in 2004. (The Calgary club record is 4 games in a row without allowing a Sack in 1980). - McLeod Bethel-Thompson - First 4 starts: 8 INTs, 6 TD Passes; Last 5 starts: 2 INTs, 12 TD passes. - McLeod Bethel-Thompson has 5 straight games with multiple TD passes, 4 games of 300+ in the last 5, led 14 TD drives in 5 gms. - Bo Levi Mitchell has a streak of 9 straight games with a TD pass back to 2018. Game Notes 👁‍🗨 Toronto has showed marked improvement since the season started and Calgary is playing without Begelton and Greenwood. Could the upset happen? Why not?
