  1. Not a chance we want to be lame like that..
  2. What they’re singing about Streveler... "He Ain't Strevy, He's My Brother"
  3. I just took it for granted that he’d always be punting..
  4. Nope. Bullpen..
  5. Well that, and a pretty good chicken dance..
  6. From the Bighill files: Adam Bighill does not believe his play has dropped off one bit. “I’ve seen it since I’ve been in the CFL — sometimes, plays come your way and sometimes they don’t,” Bighill said Thursday after practice at IG Field. “Sometimes you have three tackles in a game and you played a fantastic game and it’s hard for people to even notice because you only had three tackles. “I feel like I’ve had a handful of those games this year.” Bighill has recorded 32 tackles, or an average of four per game, which isn’t coming close to last season when he had 105 tackles in 18 games (5.83 per game). “You’ve got to think too that teams are playing us a little bit differently this year, based on what we did last year and some of the success I had last year, scheming things differently,” said Bighill, who signed a lucrative three-year contract extension with the Bombers in the off-season. “That has maybe not allowed me to do some of the things I did last year. “Tackles aren’t always super indicative of performance. It means that you’ve obviously had a chance to be productive but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve been doing your job. Having a lot of tackles? Maybe you’ve made 70% of them eight or 10 yards down the field. As a linebacker, you’re flowing to the ball, you have a motor, but we also want to be making plays at or behind the line of scrimmage.” You’re not sitting in our meeting rooms or listening to the direction (Bighill) gives, the conversations he has with his teammates, the questions he asks,” Bombers coach Mike O’Shea said. “On the field you’re not listening to him put guys in the right spots and make checks to make sure everything is going smoothly. That’s the job of a middle linebacker. These are all things he does extremely well, besides his athleticism, besides his understanding of offences and plays and how he maneuvers around the field to give different looks and put himself in good position.”
  7. Jon Ryan can punt that ball to high heaven, but since heaven and Saskatchewan are not synonymous, it really doesn’t matter.
  8. Did he expect anything else after O’Shea had “approached” Dickenson with, how should I put it? Attitude...
  9. If you’re referring to the reception percentage I posted, there is no reference to good hands there. And who has said everyone has had the same number of good passes?
  10. I figured those who read that would know how much to take those stats in context. Was I wrong? That’s true, but that goes for every receiver we’ve had ‘‘tis year, does it not? 👁‍🗨 we can only go by what stats are given and relying on what we’ve seen. I don’t think there are any receivers who have had bang on passes thrown their way each and every game.
  11. Well, I’m talking Wolitarsky over Demski and if you do look at the stats, Demski has not been tearing it up either. So, if we’re talking “ missed tons” this year, what do you say of Demski? Wolitarsky 56.8% receptions to attempts. Demski 60% receptions to attempts. Quarterback play and routes run also factor into this., I’d still take Wolitarsky.
  12. What? Demski over Wolitarsky? Nope. Lawler deserves recognition, and I’m not sure Whitehead should be so high up there.
  13. Somebody give this guy a look will ya..
  14. C’mon that Labour loss plucked more than a few emotions from posters. As the saying goes “snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.” To be that close, and lose, brings back unfond memories.
  15. Fajardo beat us with his last 5 passes in the LDC. They were right on the money. They weren’t lobs, but they weren’t deep either. Just enough to get ‘er done.
  16. That was the original thought, although that article is dated (Feb - 2019) Noeller is right. I read/heard the same thing. There was a misconception on Nichols contract and Bauming/Hamilton has cleared up that misconception. Edit
  17. Apparently, Nichols is a free agent after this year..
  18. I like this quote...
  19. O’Shea said, after the game, on Streveler’s 21 yard run, that the bench exploded with excitement as he just kept on going..
  20. If you have been paying attention, I usually just let it be. But, in this case, the poster is a newcomer and I don’t want any misconceptions. Therefore the explanation. Does that satisfy you?
  21. Just a weak attempt on my part at humour on pronouncing your display name.
  22. Thanks for that. Hey, your last name wouldn’t be Qai, would it? J.K. 😀
