  1. What he did in the second half is all we need to have an offence. Alas..
  2. If only LaPo used his weapons. Harris, Augustine, Petermann, Nichols, Streveler, Wolitarsky etc, we’d have a damn fine team. Otherwise, we have to rely on his vivid non-imagination..
  3. Because there was somebody wilder than him. I don’t blame Lawrence in that one.
  4. You said it..Lapo’s insistence. If he was truly as smart as he thinks he is, we’d have a pretty potent one-two punch at QB. Maybe he has Nichols playing at his potential..but not Streveler.
  5. I don’t intentionally. I write on a different notebook and transfer. That’s the default font. I’ve tried to resize it, but it’s stubborn. 🤭
  6. I was curious. Lots of criticism of Bighill. I just don’t see it. Maybe over the season, but last game? Having re-watched the game this morning, I keyed in on Adam Bighill and I just don’t understand the trashing of Bighill on this board. Was he a superstar in the game? No, but it looked like he was was where he was supposed to be. Not that any one of us know where that is in Hall’s schemes. Is he slower? Maybe. Not that he was fast to begin with. Is he injured? Maybe. But nothing you could see. Was he late getting to the ball? Not unusually. I saw Powell beat him on a throw out of the backfield, but it was a very good throw and Bighill did make the tackle. On the last series, I saw execution by Saskatchewan. Not so much from the Bombers. And yes, Bighill was blocked at the Winnipeg 40 by Awatchie, but it was a good block by the big fellow. Was it a hold? I don’t know. It looked good, but he could have been held and turned. I urge you to watch the game again and judge for yourself. Criticism is often warranted, like Fenner earlier in the season, but when it’s unwarranted, it’s remains just an opinion.
  7. It was an unreal miss..
  8. What I want to see in the Banjo Bowl is Shaq Evans sweeping his jersey off with his hands to remove all the granules from his jersey after getting hit...hard. That prima donna.
  9. Sacktimonious bastards! Riders have given up 17 sacks — 10 of which came in two games (Calgary and Winnipeg each had five sacks). Riders had given up only three sacks in a five-game span before allowing five on Sunday. 5 sacks and we still lost? Horrible, horrible start..
  10. Blatant hit on Rempel. We rarely see O’Shea so upset, but he was justified.
  11. I think we just traded a two point loss for invaluable experience. Naturally, I would have cheered a victory but Streveler had a full game’s experience, and that will definitely help in the future. As the game wore on, I believe the team saw what Streveler can do..and responded. I would say that the only thing holding him back is himself, but, with our OC..I know better.
  12. Hardrick IS a shadow of his former self..and that ain’t easy.
  13. It really doesn’t matter about what you said. No errors, and enough to hit receivers in stride and execute the play calls. Who won?
  14. Fajardo did enough to get the win. He’s not the 3rd string QB everybody says he is. He got them the win, and that’s 6 in a row. Hes not awful..
  15. Farjardo is for real. Saskatchewan is for real. Bombers just took too long to get going..
  16. Brilliant strategy, legcuff a running QB by making him stand still.
  17. Cody Fajardo HAD a current streak of 129 pass attempts without an Interception. He has 7 INT-free games in 2019. Solved
  18. We’re getting killed on predictions for this game, what with the shortage of players on offence, but our defence will be strong. Keep the turnovers down and keep it clean (Winnipeg is the least penalized team in the CFL at just 7.3 flags per game; only 15 of those have come on Special Teams.) and we should have a shot.
  19. Cody Fajardo leads all CFL Quarterbacks with 57 rushing attempts in 2019. Chris Streveler is #2 with 53. Speaking of Cody Fajardo, I’d like to see our early season predictions of his ineptitude reveal itself today against our defence..
  20. Justin Medlock passed Gerry Organ moving up to #15 A/T (1,464 pts). He has made 93 consecutive converts from 32 yds. So, if the Bombers score 7 TDs, Medlock can hit 100 converts for the year, and mostly everybody will be happy!!
  21. Always in such a rush... The Riders are #1 in the CFL with 44% of their plays being runs; Winnipeg is #2 at 43% of their plays. It’s just too bad we couldn’t throw Santiago out there to pose yet another threat..
  22. Dispute. CFL media states last week, Saskatchewan became the 1st team in 10 years (Oct 21/09) to force Turnovers on an Opponents' first 3 drives. My version is: Dominique Davis gifted the ball to the Riders the first 3 possessions...
  23. https://3downnation.com/2019/08/29/2019-cfl-player-award-predictions-revisited/ 2019 CFL player award predictions revisited Most Outstanding Canadian Dunk — LB Cory Greenwood, Calgary Stampeders Original Prediction: REC Juwan Brescacin, Calgary Stampeders If not for Andrew Harris’ drug suspension this award would be a runaway. That’s recently changed. Greenwood quietly leads the league in tackles after stepping in for Alex Singleton. Hodge — RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Original Prediction: REC Lemar Durant, B.C. Lions Durant has had a great season, on pace for 1,000 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Harris has been flat-out dominant, though his recent suspension will turn some voters off. Smith — RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Original Prediction: RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sean Thomas-Erlington may have challenged for this award had he stayed healthy, but Harris has been the league’s best Canadian player thus far. Unless voters are swayed by his positive drug test, he will run away (no pun intended) with the award. Filoso — RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Original Prediction: RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Heading into the season, expectations were high for Harris. Somehow, the 32-year old has surpassed them. Harris has been nothing short of spectacular game in and game out. Gasson — RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Original Prediction: RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers I don’t think the suspension is enough to cost him this one. The 32-year-old has been remarkable this year. Ballantine — LB Cory Greenwood, Calgary Original Prediction: RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers The drug suspension will play poorly for Harris, allowing Greenwood to capture the West nomination and crown. Alfieri — RB Andrew Harris, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Original Prediction: REC Brad Sinopoli, Ottawa Redblacks I think the two-game suspension is going to hurt Harris, but he’s just too far ahead of every other Canadian right now. Unfortunately for Sinopoli, the Redblacks just can’t get him the ball.
  24. Talk about special! I did not know they were 1 - 2 in tackles. “Perhaps the most impressive player from the draft class has been Exume, who was the 70th player taken out of 73 total. He has a whopping 15 special teams tackles, just one behind the league leader, his teammate Mike Miller.” https://winnipegsun.com/sports/football/cfl/winnipeg-bluebombers/bombers-draft-class-of-2019-making-strong-contribution-in-first-cfl-season#click=https://t.co/XDPi2uCXaE
