  1. Yeah, like kinda sneakily switching identities like they pulled off in college..😁
  2. I don’t knooow about this one. I mean, it’s easier to argue undefeated team’s rankings, because, you know they haven’t lost yet... So, I quashqai these rankings for now. (a little bit)
  3. Great play - Calgary’s ST kickoff to regain the ball. Well executed kick, great forward control an finally...possession. Doesn’t happen often, but it sure did make a difference. Momentum killer - B.C. driving the field at the end of the staff, and instead of taking a sure 3 points..decide to try to get more..and failed. Cody’s changed from Fa’yard’o, in his first outing, to Fa’yards’o in his next 2. But I’d still be nervous if I was relying on performances like that going forward. Edmonton- lots and lots of yards! Winnipeg - lots of big plays, leading to Victory formation. Can’t say anything nice about Montreal and Toronto, so... We’ll just keep our eyes on Hamilton (ha, they play Montreal again) and Saskatchewan (Calgary) to see who can keep up the pace. Will Brandon Banks’ 40 points per game statement look as good against other opponents? Can Cody read an actual secondary’s game or will he revert back to short yardage QBing? The Stamps have picked up former #Bombers DB Abu Conteh Dom, da Dom Dom dah - the Bombers visit Ottawa..I’m patiently waiting. B.C. - Only one team emerges winless, and those are not the initials of the losing team.
  4. Good points. When Chamblin eventually called for a challenge, he didn’t appear to really know what he was doing, and to top it off, he went ahead with his challenge on a very questionable chance on getting the call. And players notice these things..
  5. Fajardo - Nichols? Nichols please. Fajardo, nice stats, but really, what he proved? The Bomber offence isn’t built that way. I know most fans want stats AND wins, but if you can have only one of the two? Wins please. Ripper May have the last in the 1st Q, but let’s see how the rest of the game (year) goes.
  6. Best rope-a-dopes scenario we’ve seen in a long time...
  7. Weather delay... Now if just Toronto stayed on the field, they might have a chance
  8. Looks like Saskatchewan is good enough for the Edmonton offence...7 FGs. Can the Argos score 22?
  9. They mic or mic not be...
  10. Last time Saskatchewan has hosted a Canada Day game? in 2017 (Wpg). Winnipeg won 43-40 in O.T. ..Glenn & Nichols combined for 8 TD passes. Field position - Both of these teams have been disadvantaged in their drive starts. Each by about 7 yards on average. 👁‍🗨So, that means they’re starting out even, right? Fajardo's Debut QB Start: Last week Cody Fajardo made his CFL starting debut to great success though they fell just short of winning the game. Fajardo passed for 360 yards (the MOST ever by a SSK QB making his CFL debut start) and 2 TDs with an Efficiency rate of 132.0. His 27 completions and 79.2% mark were also club records for a debut start and his 2 TD passes tied 6 others. 👁‍🗨However, against a defence like Hamilton, he was 52.9% for 66 yards. The Argos are just 1-10 in their last 11 reg. season games dating back to August 2018. Toronto had an 0-9 road record last year and have 3 wins in their last 24 games away from home heading into this week (3-21). Kyran Moore was near perfect last week catching 5 of his 6 targeted throws for a team-high 117 yards. Charleston Hughes recorded two Sacks last week to move up to 116 in 166 career games. He has had at least one Sack in 80 of his 166 career games. Last week, William Powell was limited to just 2 carries for 2 yards in the 2nd half vs Ottawa with a fumble. McLeod Bethel-Thompson come on in relief of James Franklin and led Toronto's TD drive (75 yards in 12 plays). The Riders' defence has yet to force a Turnover in 2019. In throws of 20+ yards downfield last week, Cody Fajardo went 5-of8 for 124 yards and 2 TDs. The Toronto defence allowed 6 consecutive TD drives to Hamilton last week. The Riders captured the 2018 set with Toronto winning both games extending their winning streak over Toronto to 5 games in a row - Toronto's last win in Regina was on Jun 30/16. 👁‍🗨Could be an interesting game?!?
  11. Ah, there’s a little more to it than that..
  12. That’s right. And it works the other way too. It’s a team game, and it’s nice to have more pieces than the other team...and be better disciplined...and cut out the TOs...and have good Coaching decisions..and follow the game plan according to script, and be better at 2 of the 3 elements of the game.defence, offence, and ST. The vaunted 300 passing mark means nothing if you are missing even one of the other elements. It’s nice to say you have the best QB in the league, but I’d rather have the wins..
  13. I remember Franklin being so highly regarded that multiple teams dripped loads of drool trying to figure out how to get him on their roster. There was even mention of putting his figure on some sort of currency, but it had been done already. Franklin May still break out and become a decent QB. He’s got some tools. Isbuckle better than him at this point, after just last night? Good one.
  14. You said it. Hardaway. Great advice. Every opportunity and every game missed is a payday missed. The NFL isn’t banging down your door to get you? Strange. 3 weeks missed in the CFL as of now, and game shape doesn’t get any easier. But, if I was a football player, I’d want to be playing. There is only a limited time frame. One’s body doesn’t wait, it gets older on it’s own. It’s not represented by any agent...
  15. Yes, I’d agree, Mitchell and Reilly are the top 2 QBs in the CFL. It’s not even worthy of debate. But, they too, can only play to the level of their teammates and Coaching. Right now, after that strange game played in Calgary, we see that even though Reilly had an 85.7% completion average (elite) and 354 yards passing (that magic number) and 2 TD passing..B.C. lost the game. And there’s no guarantee that if Mitchell stayed in the game, that Calgary would have won. On Thursday another reputed elite QB threw for 345 yards, but it took him 54 attempts. That’s Harris, and his book of stats. Is he top 3 QB? Debatable. Certainly a good QB in most regards. I’m told that the Bombers were fortunate because our middle-bonker-rated QB didn’t play well..but the team did, especially on defence. Team game for us in that one. Fortunate? Debatable. As to Masoli, I’m still waiting to see. He’s got a pretty stacked team in Hamilton, so can he take the next step when he’s not playing Saskatchewan, Toronto or Montreal? We’ll see. The Bombers are in a good spot right now through team discipline, defence, effort and Coaching. Oh, and good QB play at the right time. I really don’t care if we’re not allowed to call Nichols anything but our starting QB. The Bombers are winning with him and really, that’s all that matters.
  16. Are you saying you can’t get your money’s worth from them? 😁
  17. We should just get an app for that and save a lot of time...🏈 👁
  18. Wrong call in my opinion. You effectively stopped Calgary’s momentum by driving the field. Take the points. Now, you get nothing and welcome Calgary back in the game. 15 point vs a 12 point lead. Could be the difference.
  19. Cliche scmiche. Again, that is football. It’s not the first time a team gets ‘outed’ and win, but you still have to have done something to ‘out’score the opposition. Consider a pass, here and there, that Edmonton was fortunate we didn’t connect on. And we were even on TOs because we caused turnover on downs, and those count.
  20. I don’t understand the lack of respect teams are showing their own players. That RTP penalty was completely avoidable but Mcllennan chose to helmet hit him high. WTF (how’s that for alliteration)
  21. Discipline. Game planning. Outstanding 3 yard line stance. It’s not fortunate to ‘hold’ a team to FGs. Both teams could be seen as fortunate. That’s sports isn’t it?
  22. I think you should have added “a QB we could actually get” because on the face of it, there is nobody.. Mediocre? Fortunate circumstances? Its football. And some of those ‘stances that we had were created by the the circumstances we were put in and the team stepped up.
  23. The Stamps started 13 drives in their own end in Wk #1 and did not score; they started 2 in Ottawa's end - both were TD drives. BC is last in Offence to Wk #2 generating just 235 yards and 47.5 plays per game while allowing 378 on 60.0 plays per game. Yes, that’s B.C.’s offence, not Winnipeg’s.. Calgary has not lost their first two home games of any season since 2011 when they lost narrowly by margins of 2 & 5 points. - The Stamps come off a bye this week and they are 11-1 since 2012 when so doing. But, In Week #1, the Stamps started only 12 of the 24 players who were in their 2018 Grey Cup starting lineup. And, Mike Reilly is 4-10 in his 14 career starts vs Calgary. But, All were with Edmonton. It’d be real hard to see B.C. pulling this game out... (CFL.ca game notes)
  24. You have to let this sink in...
