Going into today’s game: The Tabbies offence will face the Argos on Saturday without dependable receiver Luke Tasker. 232 – Total yards for the Tabbies in their win over the Riders; the fewest of any CFL team in Week 1. 0 – Wins in three tries for the Argos against Hamilton last year, including two defeats at BMO Field. 13 – Games with over 300 passing yards for Jeremiah Masoli in 2018, three of which came against the Argos The Ti-Cats recorded the fewest yards of Offence last week (230) but managed a narrow 23-17 win due to a 3-0 T/O edge. (The Hamilton defence intercepted Isaac Harker on each of the last two possessions to preserve the win) - The Argos were 4-5 at home in 2018 but recorded their first 0-9 record on the road since 1993 and 1992. Ja’Gared Davis led all Hamilton tacklers last week with 7. - Lirim Hajrulahu made all 3 of his FG attempts last week and back to last year has now made 16 of his last 17 tries. - The Ti-Cats won last week despite not getting a single Red Zone opportunity and no plays run closer than the SSK 26-yard line. Odd years of late: The Argos have alternated years in making the playoffs lately. They made it in 2013, 2015 and 2017 only and missed out in 2014, 2016 and 2018. So, it’s playoff this year then.. Simoni Lawrence is playing today...will he get booed? If he does, I’m sure it won’t be ‘intentional’ 😁

Let me get this straight. Because Reilly ran out of time greeting his old teammates, his former mates decided it was better to reach (out) to Reilly another way. They wanted to hug him, and they did...7 times. Isn’t that thoughtful?

Looks like BC will relieve Sask of last place this year. Crowd only 24,O16 and 5O-5O a mere $55,4O7 payout. But no thunderstorm as forecast and Eskimos lead 39-23 with six minutes to go on Mike Reilly return night. Also, Edmonton was missing multiple starters on D. Will Mike Reilly last?

A little bit different for Chungh to play beside Boyko rather than Hardrick eh? Boyko and Chungh 👎 thumbs down last night. And Hunter Steward, and Foucault...

I don’t know, if Reilly keeps running like that, he’s going to get hurt.
-
Reilly might be trying a little too hard, he could have been seriously hurt landing on his head like that

I don’t know Mr Reilly, I can’t get used to that look..

Simoni Lawrence's appeal hearing for his hit to the head of Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Zach Collaros is set for July 9, meaning the Hamilton Tiger-Cats linebacker will get to play in three games after he was originally suspended for two games by the CFL earlier this week, according to TSN's Farhan Lalji. https://www.tsn.ca/hamilton-tiger-cats-lb-simoni-lawrence-appeal-hearing-set-for-july-9-1.1326627?tsn-amp&__twitter_impression=true Geez, how hard can that be?

That ‘fella’ did ok in his first game: Kerfalla Exumé, who was making his Canadian Football League debut, finished with a game-high five special teams tackles. 🏈 significance of his five special teams tackle effort? The Bombers record for most special teams tackles in a game is seven, set by Brendan Rogers in 1994. That’s also tied for the CFL record, shared by Rogers and five other players. Two other players – Wade Miller and Derrrick Doggett – each had six in a game. And CFL stats guru Steve Daniel said he cannot find any other instance where a player had five special teams tackles in his first game. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/21/rookie-db-kerfalla-exume-making-splash-special-teams/

Going into tonight’s game: The Lions Mike Reilly returns to Edmonton where he was #1 QB for 6 seasons and 94 starts in 108 Edmonton games. He missed only one start in the last 3 years and overall for the Eskimos led them to a 53-41 record as a starter. 1st Quarter Leads No Guarantee: Last week, the four Clubs that led after the 1st Quarter ALL lost their game. The four winning teams overcame deficits of 3, 4, 5 and 12 points (Ottawa at Calgary) to win. Last year, teams that trailed after 15:00 were just 20-53 and over the last two years just 39-103 .275. Other Notes: - The Lions led 23-21 over Winnipeg last week after a Mike Reilly TD pass to Lemar Durant 4:10 into the 3rd Quarter. On their 1-point convert attempt, Marcus Sayles blocked the kick which Brandon Alexander and ex-Lion Chandler Fenner combined to return 80 yards for a 2-point score. The Lions did not score after that as Winnipeg built 12-0 run to win on the road by 10 points (33-23). - Last week, the Eskimos led the CFL with 607 yards of Net Offence, the most by any CFL team since October 5, 2013 by Calgary (622). It was the most by Edmonton since they had 635 on August 7, 1997 vs Winnipeg. - Trevor Harris recorded his 4th career 400+ yard game (447) to lead all CFL QBs in Week #1 passing. Harris was a perfect 14-of-14 on short yardage throws and on 20+ yard attempts was 6-of-8 for 172 yards and 2 TDs. - Brandon Rutley led the CFL last week with 226 kickoff return yards; that ranks #7 all-time in CFL history (CFL record: 257). - Mike Reilly passed for 324 yards recording his first 300+ game as a BC Lion (3rd start) and 43rd of his career. - The Eskimos led the CFL with 607 yards of Net Offence, the most by any CFL team since October 5, 2013 by Calgary (622). - The Esks were incredibly consistent on Offence last week with just ONE 2-&-OUT all game and 8 drives with multiple 1st downs. - C.J. Gable led all CFL rushers last week with 154 yards – his 10th career 100+ yard rushing effort. - The Lions were held to just 4 rushing yards last week, tying their lowest total in club history set in 1981 (Sep 27/81 at Wpg). - BC passed on all 13 offensive plays in the 4th Quarter last week and overall ran just 4 times in their 44 play calls. - Bryan Burnham had 153 receiving yards, the 2nd highest single-game total of his CFL career and 12th career 100+ yard game. - Ricky Collins led all CFL receivers last week with a career-high 175 yards, his 4th career 100+ yard game. - Edmonton built a 17-point lead last week but needed a 4th Q, 70-yard game winning drive to pull out their win over Montreal. - The Eskimos and Montreal ranked #1-2 in MOST penalties drawn last week and combined for 26 flags incl. 8 Roughness calls. - 2nd Down Conversions: BC was 9-of-17 but just 1 chance in short yards. Edmonton was 8-of-8 in 2&3 or less and 17-of-27. - The Lions’ best field position start last week was only at their own 45-yard line and at their 27 yard line on average. - Edmonton also had poor field position starts last week averaging at their own 26 yard line. Ever had one of those days when it seems like it’s right..but it’s not? To me, that was Marshall. I’d have to watch that game again, but Marshall’s positioning wasn’t the problem. I’d say it was more Bust-out Rhymes who created the problem for him. And a couple of real nice laid out passes from Davis. Can’t really see Rhymes having a great game like that again soon..
-
No picks tonight.. Just being picked on..Randle and Marshall
-
Ah, the weekend has started off properly..a Rider loss

What’s going on? Rhymes defies reason. 11 catches 168 yards 1 TD Dominator Davis 30/39 76.9% 354 3 TDs Cody Fajardo 27/34 79.4% 360 2 TDs
