It’s just that we don’t like double D’s

Ever wonder what the view is from the Rideau Condo Complex next to TD Place?

👁🗨What Saskatchewan has going for them: The Riders were one of two teams to rush 30-plus times in Week 1 and were the only team to pass the ball less than 58 per cent of their offensive plays, which resulted in a league-high 172 rushing yards. Saskatchewan has now gone a club record tying 6 games without a TD pass - Rob Vanstone They allowed the fewest yards of any Club in Week #1. Saskatchewan led the CFL with a TOP of 36:05 vs Hamilton last week. - CFL Game notes 👁🗨What Saskatchewan has going against them: After hours of typing and running out of iPad space, I’ve decided not to include that list..

Saskatchewan lost the T/O battle by -3 (3 T/Os to 0) last week. They had only two games all last year without forcing an opponent giveaway. 👁🗨They won’t be able to win the same way this year.

Saskatchewan, also known as the “Quarterback Controversy Capital of Canada,” - Darrell Davis

I don’t mind this avenue.. arbitrator, but this should have been talked about in the negotiations “Wow that's something I haven't seen before. CFL going after CFLPA for appealing the Simoni Lawrence suspension. If they want to appeal, great. But an arbitrator should be allowed to tack on another game if he sees fit. People would think twice about appealing.” - Joey Alfieri

In this case I believe even the players and practiced observers (TSN analysts and other media) were not lining up with Lawrence. The CFLPA must have their own guidelines to deal with guilty parties as well as the little more innocent. They have to stand with all the players, BUT In some cases that would be harder to do. The CFLPA stood strong in the latest negotiations with the CFL They must stand strong again, in the interest of player safety, and stipulate the 2 game suspension will carry forward, but perhaps, the game day cheques can be re-arranged this time.

A strong statement from the Commissioner of the CFL:

Throwing dines is a well thrown 🏈 ball 🏀. D or D stated it right. 1st quarter was not ‘good’, but nobody, as in not anybody, said Nichols played a perfect game. Nobody does.
-
Exactly. Aber*nation
-
Last game, Nichols was throwing dimes as our Quarterback, and you say he did okay.. Okay then. You do remember it’s a team game...and that’s exactly how the Bomber intentionally play it.
-
I know, I know. Particle board..

Darrin Bauming reports that the Bombers kicked the **** out of his tires BUT He stays out East.
-
Wait, you’re not that fresh Prince of Belair, are you?
-
There’s absolutely no truth to the rumour that QBs, when giving themselves up on a running play, will be instructed to flap their arms like a chicken..ala Jeff Hecht, in order to show they’re downing the play.

Look, I’m old enough to remember the suffering and angst year after year. Winning, at any time, brings me joy. I don’t care if it’s week 1 or 12. I’m enjoying the moments. I’m living in the now and you can’t take that away from me. So nyah nyah

Although looked upon as problematic back then, it sure looks good now.. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have acquired non-import offensive tackle Patrick Neufeld and a 4th round pick in the 2015 CFL Draft from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for import defensive end Alex Hall and a 2nd round pick in the 2014 CFL Draft.

Kylie Wilson update.. He got caught unaware, hit in the chin, but he will be fine. - Coach’s show, Mike O’Shea

CFL.ca ranks the pivots heading into Week 2 in the first QB Index of 2019: The CFL.ca Quarterback Index is a weekly power ranking of quarterbacks across the CFL. 👁🗨I don’t know about these rankings I don’t mind their ranking of Mitchell, Reilly, Harris and even Masoli’s numbers from last year, but that’s the start of the year..not after week one. IMO, only Harris had better numbers and a higher QB rating in week #1. Yes, gameman should have been #2 after Harris. 👁🗨Both Mitchell and Reilly lost. I know they are undeniably the best 2 QBs in the league..but not in week #1, heading into week 2. I think it would make more sense if they ranked them the way are thought of historically and then use the weekly games from there. In their own words: The ranking reflects recent performance, historical value, statistical indicators, team success and overall on-field evaluation. 1) B.L. Mitchell 2) Mike Reilly 3) Trevor Harris 4) Matt Nichols 5) Jeremiah Masoli 6) James Franklin 7) Antonio pipkin 😎 Vernon Adams 9) Dominique Davis 10) Isaac Harker 11) Cody Fajardo https://www.cfl.ca/2019/06/17/quarterback-index-matty-ice-brings-fire/

And he could have been suspended longer if they had included this hit. Same game, same dirty hit.. Lawrence is going to be watched..👀 as well he should be
